First Impressions
The monthly Beauty Heroes delivery comes in a white box with a red-dotted sticker sealing it. Inside is protective sizzle and information about what you received that month.
This month's feature brand is Siam SEAS. I enjoyed reading about this brand on the back of the info card, and learning about the Thai founder's approach to skincare as a journey of healing and nourishing. She draws on ancient healing remedies learned through her grandmother, plus the influence of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda—and 90% of Siam SEAS ingredients are of indigenous origins.
I always delight in this card Beauty Heroes includes, which shows one way of incorporating your new skincare products into a daily rhythm. You'll typically see products you've received in past boxes on the list.
The Products
Siam SEAS Sai Clear Skin Serum, 20 ml - Retail Value $74

This serum is an homage to the spiritual calm of Thai temples, and packed with 32 extracts, each which work together to create brighter, more luminous skin. Some of these ingredients include sodium ascorbyl phosphate and other healing iterations of Vitamin C, ceramides, triphala...these plus a blend of antioxidants and more team up to soothe inflammation, address acne hyperpigmentation, and texture irregularities, and promote collagen production.
The scent of this serum is like incense in liquid form. The rich color alone is healing. If the story surrounding this serum wasn't powerful enough, the aroma and experience brings the reverence of the creator's lineage alive.
Siam SEAS Mekha Herbal Active Cleanser, 50 ml - Retail Value $71

To support the serum, though it's just as impressive, we were sent this herbal active cleanser—a creamy substance dotted with exfoliating jojoba beads, pineapple and papaya enzymes, and wintergreen extract offering tiers of exfoliation. In the mix is farm-harvested honey and Brazilian mango butter, pairing with royal jelly, propolis, and pollen to make for a formula that's antibacterial, firming, and collagen-boosting naturally. What incredible things natural ingredients can do.
I love the scent of this cleanser even more than I do the wonderful serum, with its awakening lemongrass foremost, and turmeric, frankincense, and red ginseng grounding it in earthy spice. It's meant to be massaged onto the skin dry, then warm water added to further work the ingredients in. This cleanser can also be used as a mask both for sensitive skin and for its decongestant properties, left on for up to 30 minutes, then gently removed with a warm wash cloth. What a treat this will be when the next cold strikes.
Verdict
Beauty Heroes costs $58.95. This box contained $145 worth of quality skincare products. The value is never a question; Beauty Heroes always does us right. (Right now both products are on sale, totaling $138.) This box feels extra valuable this month to me, because I'm quite taken by the element of ancestral knowledge and the reverence for nature's healing ingredients that are evident in what Siam SEAS is putting out there.
