I'm a fan of China Glaze thanks to the Coca Rocha Fancy Box - and I think this is my favorite color in the box!

Verdict: I am in LOVE with the colors The Nail Collection sent me - it's like Spring in a box!  Also - I was glad to see that these are all new Spring 2013 colors. What do you think of The Nail Collection?

This is SO not worth it. That’s $30? I could have purchased those brands (maybe not those exact colors) for much cheaper. If I hit up eBay I could have purchased exactly those for less than $30. Not to mention, for that price you can just go to Ulta and buy those. I don’t think this box is going to be around long. Only people who live in the boonies are going to want to purchase it.

I am in Australia and have signed up for this as this is very good value even with the cost of shipping. It will also encourage me to try some different colours as I always seem to choose the same old colours when I buy polish.

I’m excited to get my first box! I have trouble finding some of the limited edition collections in my area and I’d rather get them shipped to me than search every drugstore around. 🙂

I am not impressed with this at all. The value of this box was $33 and a monthly subscription costs $30. I just feel like for the $3 difference I could pick out the colors I really wanted in the store.

Totally agree. And you can do way better just by going on eBay.

Right now they offer polishes from the Essie Resort Collection, Orly Hope & Freedom Fest, OPI Oz the Great and Powerful Collection, and China Glaze Hologlam collection, if you want to customize what you get. I love that feature and I love the collections they currently offer! I would be sold if the price had a better value. Julep’s polishes each retail for $14 but you can get 2+ and bonus items for $20 a month.. I think The Nail Collection could lower their price to be in the $25 range or maybe offer five polishes plus a bonus item per month. (and maybe a generous coupon code to help them get on their feet with subscribers?)

Hey Salena!

We cost $30 because the polishes are full sized and shipped to you monthly (with the option to choose your own colors). The service is very convenient for women who have little time to dedicate to polish picking or to run to the store weekly.
Oh, and that coupon idea sounds kinda good. Let’s see what happens ;).

This doesn’t seem like a very impressive value, its only $3 off the full price. Why not just pick the polishes up at the store?

I totally agree! Not a deal at all since polishes regularly go on sale at drug stores and salons. Plus since I’m in Canada, they want to charge $10-$15 to ship it North. Julep ships to Canada for free.

Hey Jill!

Maybe Julep IS better than The Nail Collection in terms of total price, but you’ll be getting tiny-sized Julep instead of the FOUR FULL SIZED world renown OPI, Essie, China Glaze, and Orly (with brands coming soon). Your choice :).

Jamie

I think it’s pretty neat that you can choose your own polishes to be shipped. I might have to try this out once or twice. Thanks for sharing!

I’m not much of a nail person, but I’m a total lipgloss person! Anyone know if anyone offers a subscription box devoted to lipgloss? Or even lip color, in general?
