If you are looking for a gourmet and artisan food subscription box - I definitely recommend the Fancy Food Box. Each month they send you a box full of specialty-item food and occasionally a food-related product (last month they included a spatula - this month it's a bento box!).
In every box they include cards for each item, giving you a little more background on why they selected it. They usually include a recipe card or two as well - each recipe features items from the box! This month the recipes included: Sweet 'N Creamy Tomato Soup and Pomegranate-Pepper Michelada.
The Box: Fancy Food Box
The Cost: $39 a month plus shipping
The Products: Gourmet and specialty food and snacks.

Brad's Raw Classy Coconut Onion Rings - Value $8
I've tried Brad's Raw Kale Chips before - but I didn't know these onion rings existed! I avoid gluten and dairy in my diet, so I don't remember the last time I had onion rings - but these healthy raw onion rings are a delicious alternative! They are more chewy and less crunchy than I expected, but I'm definitely a fan and will probably buy more of these! I also want to try these chopped up as a much healthier onion ring topping on a
Farmhand's Choice Early Bird Granola - Value $9
I love that this granola is made with organic ingredients. It looks amazing!
Big Picture Farm Goat Milk Caramels - Value $11
Even though I can't eat dairy - I think I love this item just because of the picture of the goat and trophy! Apparently Big Picture Farm won' the 2012 gold sofi for Outstanding Confection! My boyfriend sampled these and confirmed that they are definitely worthy of recognition!
Pomegranate Pepper Elixir - Value $2
Nonna's Sweet Sauce - Value $10
My favorite thing about the Fancy Food Box is that usually all the brands and/or products are completely new to me. I had never heard of either of these items before, but I'm excited to try the pasta sauce, and intrigued by this pomegranate pepper drink!
Bento Box – Value $23
I received the same bento box in the April regular Fancy Box - but fortunately this is one of those items where it's good to have a spare! I definitely recommend this box - it's BPA free and dishwasher safe!
Verdict: I paid $39 for this box plus shipping and received over $60 worth of product - not bad! I will use everything in this box so I'm very happy with the value. Plus the one item I'm a little cautious about (the Pomegranate Pepper Elixir) is the lowest value item in the box! What did you think of the July Fancy Food Box?
