Bestowed is a monthly healthy food and snack subscription box curated by Nutritionist Heather Bauer. The August 2013 Bestowed Box was much heavier than past boxes - meaning lots more food in this month's box - I love it!

This box came with a 6 page booklet detailing each product in the box, including recipe ideas and nutritional benefits.

Bestowed Review and $5 Coupon Code - August 2013

Lundberg Family Rice Chips in Sante Fe Barbecue - Value $2

Reboot Wellness Booster - Value $14

Bestowed recommend uses Reboot instead of gatorade after a workout, or drinking it during traveling to avoid "that sluggish feeling." I'm definitely curious about Reboot - I'll have to give it a try!

Free Noosa Yogurt Coupon - Value $3

Living Healthy World Flax N' Chia Stix (2) - Value $3

I love that these Stix are just organic flax and chia seeds. Those are my two go-to mix-ins for smoothies, so these will be perfect! I might actually save them for traveling since it will make smoothies a lot easier to do!

Cascadian Farm Orgnaic Crunchy Oats & Honey Granola Bar - Value $1

SeaSnax in Wasabi - Value $2

These SeaSnax are definitely "Strangely Addictive" - they are already gone!

Bestowed Review and $5 Coupon Code - August 2013

Mighty Lead Iced Tea - Value $1

Miracle Noodle Angel Hair - Value $3.29

Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar - Value $2.50

I've heard about Miracle Noodle before, but have yet to try them. Considering they have 0 calories, they almost seem too good to be true! From Bestowed:

These noodles live up to their name; They really are miraculous! Containing zero (yes, zero!) calories, gluten-free, soy-free, and vegan, these noodles are as versatile as they are convenient.  Made of a naturally water-soluble fiber called glucomannan (which can slow digestion and promote the feeling of fullness), Miracle Noodle Angel Hair Noodles are great for dieters and low-carb eaters. Even better? The noodles don’t have to be cooked, so they’re perfect as a portable meal for the office or a road trip.

I read quite a few reviews on Amazon, and it seems like the trick to making these noodles taste like real noodles is to rinse them well then boil for 2 minutes, and make a dish where the noodles will absorb the flavor.

Verdict: The August Bestowed Box was great! I paid $19 for this box and received over $30 worth of healthy food! We'll use everything in this box, and I'm excited to give Reboot and Miracle Noodles a try! What did you think of this month's Bestowed Box?

I was wondering if you tried the pasta yet? A few of the girls at work love their pasta so I suggested they might want to try it. Is it worth trying?

I have been loving the Bestowed boxes. It’s mostly just been snacks, nothing substantial. But I have discovered a few products that I now find myself purchasing whenever I can get my hands on the. The Bakery on Main’s product line in particular is stellar. Especially if you are trying to keep blood sugar on an even keel. The extras like free app’s or magazine subscriptions included are wonderful. This box though was just meh. It was like a bestowed foodie box for people who don’t appreciate food. I hope next month returns to their usually fantastic assortment of treats.
