Lip Factory Review - Makeup Subscription Box - August 2013

A few readers reached out to me and recommended I try the full-size makeup subscription Lip Factory. I love my full-size makeup subscription Wantable, so I decided to try this one too!

Sweet Pea and Fay Lip Joule  in Big Parade - Value $7.99

Colour U Mega Matte Lipstick in Skinny Dip - Value $15

This lip gloss color was a little too bright for me - I wish it was in the color of the lipstick!

Me Me Me Cosmetics Shimmer Stack in Gold - Value $15

This bronzer reminds me so much of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Bronzer! The shades in this bronzer are more subtle than the Bobbi Brown original, so this will be a perfect lighter bronzer for fall!

Makeup Remover Cotton Cloth - Value $4.99

NYX Wonder Pencil in Light - Value $4.99

Red Cherry Black Eye Lashes - Value $2.50

False Eyelashes are on my beauty bucket list for this year - (I need to get over putting on the lash glue!) I'm not sure I'll use these though - I'm a little freaked out that they are made with human hair.

Verdict: I paid $22 for this box and received about $50 worth of makeup products - so far I'm impressed with the value of Lip Factory. I will use most of the products, but so far I don't have a stand-out item I'm really excited about. Looking at the items in the past boxes, I'm definitely going to give this subscription another month or two - hopefully some of my favorite brands show up in future boxes! (I would have loved to get the July box!) Do you subscribe to Lip Factory? What do you think of this makeup subscription box?

I am a subscriber of Lip Factory and have loved all of my boxes so far. Yes, the July box was awesome! I believe the November box will be the “all lips” box, so keep your eyes open for that as well.

While I have only engaged with customer service one time, I found them to be prompt and helpful. I genuinely enjoy the Lip Factory sub box and have used about 90% of the products I have received.

I actually cancelled most of my beauty boxes and bought a yearly sub of Lip Factory. Their customer service is outstanding. Here’s an example: I saw they had a lip brush in a box before I joined, so I asked if I could buy one. Instead, they just added it to my box this month! They also make notes about your preferences if you email them.

Really my favorite!

The idea of human hair eyelashes freaks me out a little, too. Otherwise, it seems to be a pretty good box. 🙂

The shimmer strips remind me of The Body Shop Bronzing and highlight strips.
