Ellie Fit Fashionista Review - Sept 2013

Ellie Fit Fashionista is officially one of my favorite subscriptions ever - their workout clothes are so well-made and I love that these workout clothes are stylish too!

(I wear these clothes A LOT and I'm always so impressed when they come out of the laundry looking like new!)

If you're new to Ellie Fit Fashionista, every month they release a new line of workout clothing. You can pick out an outfit or mix and match any two pieces for $49.95. To get started, just add an item to your cart, and you'll be prompted to join the Fit Fashionista club.

Ellie Fit Fashionista Review - Sept 2013

This is the outfit I decided to go with this month. So far I've only gone with form-fitting workout gear from Ellie, so I thought I would mix it up with this loose fitting top!

Go With The Flow Top - Value $69.95

Sometimes loose tops end up just looking like loose tops on me, but the draping of this top works - it's actually very flattering. The cut out design in the back is fun too!

Buddhalicious Capri - Value $74.95

I love the cut of the waist band on these capris! Also, the purple tag in on the inside of the waistband is actually a hidden pocket for a key!

Verdict: I love my new Ellie pieces! I have become a little obsessed with replacing my workout clothing collecting with only Ellie gear, and now I already can't wait to see what the October outfits will be!

Which Ellie Fit Fashionista outfit or pieces did you pick this month?

I highly recommend NOT shopping with Ellie. Their customer service and ordering experience is abysmal– the worst I have seen in years. Online shopping has become so easy that I forgot how bad it could be– it’s like Ellie has gone back in time and used an ordering and service model from the late 90s.

I ordered a top and bottom that I thought were cute. Upon entering my shipping and billing info, I clicked “place order” or whatever the command was. The page was unresponsive for several minutes while it “processed” my order. It eventually said “order failed” or something like that, so I opened a new tab and did it all again. I was frustrated by how long it was taking to process, so I closed the window. When I re-launched the site, it told me my cart was empty. “How can this be?” I thought, “neither of my orders were processed or confirmed!” I then check my email and have one order confirmation email. This is okay, I think.

Then I check my bank statement the next day and see that i was charged TWICE! I then send an email to the customer service (there is no number listed on the site) to which I receive a generic email that my question will be answered in 1-2 business days. Ellie, your clothing is expensive and ordering two pieces put my order to almost $100, and this is no small number to be double-charged.

I have called the customer service number on the site 4 times during business hours, and each time I hear the message that “it is either outside of business hours or we are unable to take your call.” This is horrible. No email response and not even an answer on the phone line that I have tried multiple times. I hope you tell all of your friends not to order from them— they do NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS.

I got the Ellie Om Jacket on 9/21, ordered on the first day the collection dropped. The jersey is SUPER soft, hope they use it on other items. However, the xs was very loose-fitting for that type of jacket.

I have numerous pieces from Ellie and 2 fromPV Body. They have all been high quality & I’ve always got the right order. I’ve never blogged about them, but will probably do an unboxing on youtube in October if I don’t skip the month.

I too ordered on the 11th…and my clothes haven’t even left the facility yet. It is weird, because I ordered first thing on day the collection was posted; well before their email that the collection was available, and well before they posted the collection to their social media accounts. Because of this, I have to assume I was one of first who placed an order. After complaining to the company, they did give me credit for the shipping cost of my order (if I am paying $8 for shipping, and I know that many of their customers are not since they were grandfathered into the program with the free shipping, I should be one of the first to have my order go out their door. Not the last.) and I will be pretty happy if my items get delivered with no further issues. However, I don’t know if I will have the patience to deal with this in the future.

that’s a GREAT point about the shipping…I pay shipping too, maybe I should call and try to get a credit 😉

I certainly understand growing pains–I think I’ve experienced shipping delays with every subscription box I’ve tried. But this time seems different for some reason. I don’t think it has to do with growing pains–I think it has to do with bad management, and really poor communication to their customers.

I did just get a reply on facebook that mine is scheduled to go out today…which still leaves me another week before it’s in my hands. We’ll see–you might go out there and ask when yours is going out as well. Maybe the squeaky wheel will get the grease, as they say 😉

I ordered my pieces the day the new collection came out (9/11) and they still haven’t shipped yet. (but of course they’ve already charged my card for them!) It’s starting to get a little suspicious–their excuses for late shipping are flimsy, and I’m considering cancelling if I ever get my order this month. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that they send the correct order so I don’t have to go through the exchange process (2 out of 3 orders with them have been wrong)

All that aside, I LOVE their clothes. I think that’s why I’m so frustrated that they can’t get these issues right.

Hopefully your shipment shows up soon! I just checked my email and I ordered on the 11th as well. I never received a shipment tracking email – it just showed up at my door yesterday!

I hope it shows up soon too…they’ve pretty much admitted on some facebook posts that a large number of shipments haven’t gone out, so I just don’t understand why some have received theirs and others haven’t! (well, I say I don’t understand, but I think most of the people who have received them are bloggers 😉 ) Anyway…I WANT to like Ellie so bad…but I’m getting nervous about this month, especially in light of some things I found out about their previous venture pvbody. We’ll see–I’ll keep you posted! 🙂

I didn’t order this month because the long pants I wanted were already out of stock. Next month I hope they have some warmer gear though. It snow in October up here. I don’t need capris!

I love Ellie! I was interested in this top, and was wondering what you thought of the fit and if it was true to size, a little larger or snugger? I want it but they don’t have my usual medium size, they only have large..

I am loving Ellie Fit, too. For Sept, I ordered 2 pants -1 capri and 1 legging. So far, I am satisfied with my subscription.
