Mexican Candy Box Review - September 2013

Mexican Candy Box is a new subscription box that sends you a box full of Mexican candy treats each month. They kindly offered to send me the first box to review.

The Cost: $12-$20 a month depending on the size you want.

The Products: Each month you’ll receive a surprise selection of 8 to 10 different kinds of candy and snacks from Mexico. Remember, it’s a surprise – you won’t be able to choose specific items.  Typically half of the items will be sweet, while the other will by spicy, and a few may be sour.

Mexican Candy Box Review - September 2013

I don't think I've ever tried Mexican candy before, so this box was definitely a new experience for me! (And some of my friends who sampled it with me!)

The Bocadin bars are similar to Kit Kat bars I was told, and the Camel's gum is pretty straight forward.

My boyfriend liked the Duvalin candy- it was kind of like icing in a cup! FYI - the del Puesta lollipops at the bottom of the picture are very spicy - they are made with chili powder!

Verdict: This box was fun for us to go through and sample - so many different flavors. I'm definitely not used to candy being spicy, so that was interesting too! What do you think of Mexican Candy Box?

I can literally walk down the street to 7/11 or Cvs & get a lot more for a lot less. I do live in so cal tho but it was also the same when I lived in Arizona.

Each month the amount and selection of candies varies, but will always include both sweet and spicy kinds. We’re keeping your suggestions in mind to continue to improve our service. Thanks for checking out our first official box!

I’m sorry but not worth it for that amount! This is a value of about less than $5! They should have at least done the value amount or a bit more.. Glad I can buy them in the stores here almost everywhere!! 🙂

You’re so lucky to be in SoCal!! It’s much easier to get a large variety of Mexican candies there. This subscription service is for people that love the convenience and surprise, and / or can’t easily get these kinds of goodies where they live.

Mexican Candy Box is all about convenience and the element of surprise. It’s like a little piñata in your mailbox every month.

My kids love Mexican candy, but since we live in SoCal we can get a lot more for a lot less.

The box pictured is the Solo (individual) size box which is the basic starter box. The other sizes are Amigo (friend) and Familia (family) which will have the same kinds of candy – but larger amounts.
