Nail Polish Subscription Boxes - The 5 Best Services

Update: May 1, 2019: Unfortunately, all these nail polish subscription boxes no longer exist. While there are no more nail-polish only subscriptions, Ipsy lets you personalize your box via your profile, and they often include nail polish every month as one of the many items they sample. This isn't a guarantee that you'll receive nail polish every month, but it might be the perfect cadence for you. Check out Ipsy here.

Nail Polish Subscription Boxes - The 5 Best Services

Julep Maven - $24.99 a month ($19.99 a month with 3-month subscription; ships to the US and Canada. (My Julep Maven Reviews)

I believe Julep Maven is the original monthly nail polish service, and I'm a big fan of this subscription. (I've been a subscriber for over a year now).

How it works: To sign up, you'll take a quick profile quiz, and they'll match you with a box profile: Classic with A Twist, Modern Beauty, It Girl, Boho Glam, or Bombshell. They release their new collection every month on the 20th, and you can go with the colors associated with your profile, or choose a different box. (FYI - Classic with a Twist, Boho Glam, and Bombshell each feature two nail polishes and one signature beauty product, It Girl features 3 nail polishes, and Modern Beauty features 2 beauty products).

In addition to the nail polish colors you pick, you also get a new beauty product from Julep. Julep Nail Polish retails for $14 a bottle, and the beauty product they include usually ranges from $25-$35, so on an average month you get over $50 of nail polish and beauty product for only $19.99.

Julep also rewards their subscribers with perks like 20% off and free shipping on anything in the Julep store, and a Secret Store that opens up once a month for 72 hours with nail polish and other items on sale at a deep discount.

COUPON: Use this link to get your first Julep Maven box for free when you buy a 3-month subscription, or get your first month for 50% off.

Hey! I have a question…. for the Julep Maven, you have to pay $19.99 every month, or it’s just the subscription??

I have been a Julep Maven for almost 2 years now and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I have had one issue in that time and was taken care of by them immediately. I as well do not work for Julep but would LOVE to!!

Bondi has cancelled their subscription service without shipping the September and October boxes, as they claimed as late as last week. Hope everyone gets their money back! The “supporting charitable organizations” part may have not been true too. Disgraceful.

I actually recently discovered a new site called Nailette (www.nailette.com) that gives you mini bottles each month. I think this is pretty awesome because I always have trouble finishing full-size bottles. It’s $10/month for 2 colors and $15/month for 3.

I love Julep. I try & tell myself to skip months to save money! Their boxes are always amazing, and I even love their beauty products. They have excellant customer service, and when they make a mistake (almost never, but nobody’s perfect) they more than make up for it. I promise I don’t work there I just love them!

Thank you for this post!! I’m a Julep Maven and I’ve been wanting to try another nail polish subscription box service lately.

“Hi, my name is Tiara and I’m addicted to nail polish.”

I love nail polish but I’d rather pick out my own colors.

The only one I’ve tried so far is Julep, and I love it. I may have to try the Blackbox though because I’m interested in getting more into nail art.

I get Bondi (love it!) and Julep (some months are more worth it than others), and I also get The INN Box from Inzuri, which so far as been great – it’s three polishes (China Glaze, Essie, Orly, etc.), a deluxe beauty sample, and an extra like a nail brush or toe separators.

Love CMM! Not a fan of Julep at all (recently canceled that sub). Have yet to try the others out!

The only Nail Polish box I subscribe to is Julep. I like their beauty products as well as their polishes are 4-free. I love the Freedom Top Coat too!

Julep us the best one! Never had any problems!!

Oh wow! I was just searching for a sub box as I used to do Bondi (and what a trainwreck that was) and I was so shocked to see their logo again (lost all my polished to a house fire in 2018). I’m so sad to see that SquareHue is no longer around :/

Angie

I’m surprised to see Bondi on this list considering they were late with their box last month and failed to deliver it at all this month.

Marilyn

I had this problem for my September box too! As far as I can tell, their October one is supposed to be on time. I didn’t have any trouble with the month before though…

Liz Cadman

Thanks for pointing that out – I’ll add that detail to the post. I’m giving Bondi the benefit of the doubt and hope they get their shipping down by October!

I love all of these! I’ve never done a subscription box before, but I have one coming next week and I’m so excited! I want to blog about some of them- then I stumbled upon your blog and I was in shock and awe! I had no idea that all of these services existed and I’m super excited to utilize your website for what I feel will become my own subscription addiction!

I love Julep. Their nail polish always seems to stay on longer without chipping. I also get the Color Me Monthly bottle, they are very good with communication if there is a problem, either with my account or the production process. I get the Cult box too, I am not too sure yet about the polish quality, but their boxes are fun with the tools and ideas.

Just so you know, Blackbox ships to the US and Canada!

I love all of them but Julep!, Julep has given me bad consumer service in the past times and times again!
