Escape Monthly Review - October 2013

Escape Monthly is a new vacation-in-a-box subscription service that launched a few months ago. They currently have a coupon code that saves $10 off every month for the life of your subscription, so I decided to sign up and give it a try!

Escape Monthly Review - October 2013

This month's getaway destination is Hawaii. I've always wanted to vacation there, and the packaging of this box is really cute, so at this stage in the unboxing, I was already pretty excited about this box!

Escape Monthly Review - October 2013

The Subscription Box: Escape Monthly

The Cost: $49.95 a month ($39.95 a month with coupon)

The Products: Each box is a destination-inspired monthly delivery of luxury products to help you relax, renew and escape.

Ships to: US only

Bonus Points:  Each month, one lucky member will be selected at random to win a vacation to the current month’s theme destination. Escape Monthly will pay for the winner’s airfare from a major US hub and two nights of accommodations, up to $1000. (They announce the winners publicly on Facebook).

Escape Monthly Review - October 2013

Moon Handbooks Big Island of Hawaii Guide - Value $17.99

Tub & Scrub Hawaiian Bath Salts - Value $10

I like that they included a guide book with this box. At first I was thinking this subscription would be an indulgent box with a destination theme, but it also can serve as vacation inspiration each month! (November's box destination is Vermont, and we've been thinking about taking a trip there, so I can't wait to see what travel tips they include in the box!)

To see if any Hawaii boxes are available it’s best to go escapemonthly.com and get their phone number and call and see. They are very nice and helpful.

I absolutely love the Escape boxes. So far I have received 2 – Oregon and Hawaii and I can use everything I received. What a treat. I am looking forward to Vermont in November especially since we were just there last month.

Wow! Great box. And sad to say, but this looks much better than a Makana box.

This is a great box! The crunch is delicious and the lotion is to die for.

Does anyone have another use for bath salts? I am a shower only girl & keep getting bath stuff but don’t really know any bathing beauties.

Use the bath salts as a foot soak!

I don’t take baths either but have a variety of bath salts from sub boxes and I use them for a foot soak. I have a giant bowl I bought from IKEA and once a week I’ll fill it up with warm water and dump in a handful of bath salts and soak my feet while watching a TV show. It’s super relaxing and makes my feet smell nice and leaves them really soft! I also use this time to use a foot scrub rather than awkwardly using one in the shower.

Thanks, Bea, for the great suggestion. My feet can always use some help, and it is awkward using the scrub in the shower. As the foot bath was missing from my box, this will work out well.
