Mantry Review – Bacon Nation Box!

Mantry is a subscription box that describes itself as "the modern man's pantry." I would describe it as a gourmet food subscription that ships in an awesome wooden crate!

We had been subscribing to this box for a few months, but I didn't get notified that my credit card on file had expired, so our subscription just stopped. It's been on my list to resubscribe, and I was pleasantly surprised when Mantry offered to send me this box to review. My husband was even more thrilled since this month's theme is all about bacon!

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included and the regions where they are made. Between the card and the crate, this box definitely has great packaging for a gift!

Broadbent's Applewood Smoked Bacon - Value $8

Bacon's Heir Pork Clouds - Value $6

I didn't get to try either of these items, but my husband said they were both fantastic!

Mo's Uncured Bacon Caramel Toffee - Value $12

Redhead Bacon Peanut Brittles - Value $6

My husband loves toffee and bacon, so finding this chocolate in the box was some sort of bacon miracle. I'll need to buy him some more for a holiday gift since this box is already gone!

Empire Mayonnaise in Bacon - Value $8

Stu's Bloody Mary Mix - Value $9

We just got a panini press, and this Bacon Mayo arrived at the perfect time!

Verdict: By my calculations, this box has a food product value of about $50. (To be fair though, some of these products aren't available for purchase at these single sizes). I think the curation of Mantry products is excellent, the packaging is perfect, and if I could change anything I'd like to see the value be closer to the cost of the box. (I'm sure this box costs a lot to ship though).
