New Women’s Luxury Subscription Box: Monthly Express

i have decided to try the dec 2014 box i am looking very forward to it . They have a phone number that you can talk to a live nice person in customer service that makes you feel right at home when you talk to her not only does she make you feel at home they are not pushy and you feel relaxed talking to customer serivce i am new on the comptuer and they helped me place my order and i felt great . you also get to take a look at great stuff they have had in other boxes also montly express is in magazines that i have read to me all and all worth 129 per month

I’m a Monthly Express subscriber. I purchased the subscription for myself as my New Year’s present and have received three boxes to date. I love these boxes. I actually eagerly anticipate them arriving each month. I’ve never really enjoyed shopping for these types of products at stores and I have little inclination to look for them online but I enjoy them so much when I have them. I never knew how much a little scent could improve the sense of house becoming home. I’m hooked.

I was holding off to see if they would stick around ($129 seemed like it was way too high). But I got the January gift box as a xmas gift from the hubby and LOVED it! There was a body oil from CALDREA in there which I would NEVER would’ve thought to buy for myself – it ended up being the thing I like the most from the set. Amazing for Boston winter weather.

You could always drop a hint for Valentine’s day and try it for a month 😉 I just signed up for a membership and got one for my mom too… Hey, if their stuff is always this good, I’m a fan 🙂

My boyfriend got me a 6 month gift subscription for my birthday. My first box collectively had products that complemented each other so well, and I felt like I had a mini spa in my home. It makes for a wonderful and thoughtful gift. I get to pamper myself each month, and take some time to relax!

I am very curious as to what’s in it. But that amount I way too much for a box I might not like. Luxury is subjective too. The brands they have featured aren’t ones I would consider luxury. I just bought the Net-A-Porter GB for a lot less and they had some brands that I would consider luxury. I hope someone gets one though. Maybe they should consider a smaller priced box along with the main selection.

I agree with the other commenters- $129 a month is very pricey, especially when you don’t know what you are getting. I would be more receptive to the price if they took the Julep route and gave you notice on what you were going to receive and an option to opt out for that month. I’ll be curious on how this service does with subscribers.

Too expensive if I wanted 129 dollars worth of product I’d pick the brand, type, everything and just buy it from Sephora.

Too expensive for a monthly subscription.

I’m kind of intrigued to see whats in it but it’s too expensive for a monthly subscription. As a one time splurge, sure, but part of the appeal of the monthly boxes is that you have a low commitment and get something fun, like a pick-me-up, to look forward to that you don’t need to feel guilty about. If I spent $129 and then didn’t like any thing in the box? I’d be so annoyed! Also, if you forget to “skip” a month of, say, Julep you probably won’t feel all that bad or the pinch too much- if you forget to skip a month of Monthly Express and then you suddenly notice you’re missing $129 out of your bank account? That’s really not good especially when I could be spending it on something I know that I’d love instead.
