POPSUGAR Must Have Box Review – December 2013

Waiting for the valentine’s box…love it!!!but it take to much ime for waiting..

This was my first box and I was less than thrilled. I’m very sensitive to milk and so I cannot really eat it without getting sick. All three food products have milk. Ugh. I don’t drink alcohol and agree with you – I’m not sure where you would use only four plastic flutes. Perhaps if you drank and had a small party on an RV?

The wrapping paper was okay. It feels like it would rip easily. I already have all my gifts wrapped too. Maybe next year.

I don’t like the bracelet. The mixed metal thing is not great in my opinion. It would have been prettier with a silver-tone chain.

The only thing I will use is the mascara and possibly the nail wraps. We have an ugly Christmas sweater party next week and I may use them for that.

I only bought one box in case I was less than satisfied. I heard great things about prior boxes. I’m not sure I will buy any more.

So i won’t be getting my box till the 18th…wth it shipped on the 7th and i live in ks. I LOVED the Nov box but the oct was just ok (that was my first). Since i haven’t gotten this one yet, i can’t be certain, bu ti’m pretty sure hate it. Candy i can buy at walmart…seriously, for this much money i want stuff i dont have easy access to and if i can get it at walmart, thats the easiest. Plastic champagne glasses…what am i, a toddler alchoholic. I want to like the bracelet and maybe i will, who knows. Cheesy christmas nail wraps…yuk. i so expexted this one to at least be as awesome as nov, especially with christmas and people gifting them, so i am beyond bummed. I’m gonna give them one more month to see if they’ve taken reviews to heart, but after that i’m don ei fi’m not blown away.

This was my first box. I loved the bracelet, mascara, nail wraps and snacks.

I was so disappointed with December box…bagged Candy and popcorn I can buy at Walmart! Press on nail art! Come on we are adult woman. Plastic flutes can be bought at the dollar store. I ordered two boxes one for gift and I am to embarrassed to even give it. This was my third box and the worst of all of them. I have two more boxes Jan. and Feb. hope it improves. Oh one more thing my girlfriend got her first box and she was so not happy either and I turned her on to them.

I have the govino flutes and wine glasses that I bought last year. I accidentally ended up with 3 sets so I decided to try them in the dishwasher. They get just a little misshapen, but other than that they are completely fine. So although they say not dishwasher safe, they’re still ok

This was my first box and I was pretty happy with it. My kids love the chocolate and I loved the caramel corn. My daughter loved the bracelet and because it’s so adjustable, it fits her perfectly. I also thought the wrapping paper was pretty and came in really handy.

The nail wraps are cute (and the same company put nail wraps in my December Wantable box only with peacock colors). I like nail wraps so I’m sure I’ll use them over the holidays. I can always use mascara too

I wasn’t that blown away by the glasses. I hate plastic. But I put them aside for picnics next summer

I enjoyed the box…I would have preferred no gift wrap because I’m planning to give the whole box as a gift and I didn’t want to open the extra one’s I purchased. I guess I could wrap the box in the paper?

I loved the bracelet, as did my daughter. I like the glasses and mascara. The chocolate…honestly just so, so because I can grab those at our pharmacy. I’ll put them out for a Christmas party or something.

I liked the November box much, much better!

I loved everything in the box! Even the plastic flutes since my cats always end up knocking glasses on the floor (I currently only have one wine glass, the rest have been broken at some point.)

I like the bracelet, I love the nail wraps, and the chocolate is good to take you party or regift on my secret Santa.

So happy with my box (and the winter special edition!)

I never expect to love everything in the box…I was actually ok with this one, and I am glad I have a few more boxes left on my prepaid subscription. Will even try the nail wraps for a casual Christmas office party!

…uhh is this a food subscription box?? the caramel pistachio popcorn was amazing but I gave the bags of chocolate to my dad to have on his desk at work. They could have left these out of the box or replaced it with something less fleeting

NCLA Designer Nail Wraps – Value $16
Not my style, not appropriate for work, childish but some of my friends who are into nail art might like it, probably meant for tweens
Lulu Frost for POPSUGAR Bracelet – Value $110 – Pretty, antique gold chain, a glamorous accessory here or there to spruce up a simple outfit is my style, this piece can layer with your other gold or silver accessories
Govino Go Anywhere Flutes – Value $12.95 -ehhhh, shouldn’t include any not-so-special items in the box, I could buy something of this sort anywhere, everywhere
ModelCo Fibre LashXTend Mascara – Value $20 — always happy to see a useful item like mascara
MIXT Studio Wrapping Paper – Value $9 – again, not so special

I ordered a 3-month sub to try PSMH out…January is the last one, 3 strikes you’re out!
The holiday edition for her had a couple items at least.

this was my first popsugar box and i was so disappointed! i’ve been watching unboxing videos of previous boxes sent out and it looked so enticing! but this is it? even after a $5/month price increase?? so bummed.

I was just about to make the comment that IMO popsugar is the best. I don’t subscribe because of the cost, but after seeing this box I would have been greatly disappointed.
I did order and received today my popsugar special holiday box and Liz, I hope you review it soon.
What I’m going to say next is kind of a spoiler so if you want to be totally surprised with items in holiday box stop reading!

There is one item that I literally did everything except throw it across the room to get the top off. I finally called the company and they told me you twist it off. Very hard to open and now it won’t close all the way, but closes enough to keep what’s inside safe, I hope!

My box just came today as well! I live in central New York. I like the bracelet, and will be gifting almost everything else (which is fine for December). I am wearing my Model co mascara now-I do love it! I am happy to have a back up. I like it better than Tarte (and I love Tarte products).

I think the plastic flutes are lame! More of a summer item for sure.

This was my first must have box. I was disappointed, also. I think the bracelet looks very cheap. I am excited for the mascara though.

I was disappointed in this box, as well. Come on, Popsugar – this is your December box…I had high expectations. I’m giving my complete box to my 13-year old sister in law. She would enjoy the nail wraps, mascara and chocolate. I hope she likes the bracelet. I didn’t open it since I wanted to keep everything intact.
I really don’t ever see myself canceling Popsugar but, for the price increase they really should step it up.

Haven’t received my box yet, but I’m not really looking forward too it now. The November box was way better. The only things that are great is the bracelet and mascara otherwise everything else is just not my taste and really?! gift wrapping paper in this box? I got it as a gift for my sister for Christmas. I’m disappointed in this box. Hopefully the next one is better. They should have done a holiday box with a scarf, some festive makeup, a nice necklace, and maybe a holiday candle.

I’m still waiting for mine, too. I’m in Las Vegas. I know there was some storm back east but 10 days for FedEx delivery (mine won’t arrive until Sat)? Give me a break! I’m overall pleased with the items (and relieved) since I bought another as a Christmas gift for my sister. I am supposed to be getting some additional piece of bauble bar jewelry for gifting a box (that my sister gets, too). But we shall see. For my first box I’m mostly happy though not bowled over by the value.

This was my first PopSugar box and I was extremely disappointed. I did like the popcorn! The wine glasses I will prob use.. but other than those 2 items, I was upset. I’m giving PopSugar one more try and if January’s box disappoints, I’ll be ending my subscription.

This box was a huge disappointment to me. The braclet is not my style at all. The mascara is my favorite item! I usually gift whatever I don’t think I will use. I’m with most people on the chocolate, it’s good but available everywhere. I recieved my box today in rural Montana.

Loved this box! Gifted it and so also got a BaubleBar necklace in the box (my giftee got one too). Worried about the size of the bracelet though as it is so small. It fits me, but one of my giftees has larger wrists. Hope it fits her 🙁

I live near Hershey Liz and I got my box yesterday so we aren’t to far off from each other receiving the box. I didn’t like anything in the box. My husband took all the food to work. I used the wrapping paper which ripped while I was wrapping its so thin. I actually threw the ugly bracelet away thought it looked so cheap didn’t realize they are so expensive

The bracelet is beautiful!

This box had its ups and downs for me.

Misses:
Caramel corn: hate it, gave it away
Nail wraps: useless to me, trading it away
Govino: eh, not really going to use it because I don’t drink

Okay:
Mascara: currently have too many, but I guess I can always save it for later
Wrapping paper: will probably use it somewhere down the line

Hits:
Bracelet: I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did, but it is currently my favorite piece and I’m so glad I have it. (even though it would have been just as easy to save some money on the entire box and buy it off of eBay where people are selling it for cheaper than the cost of the box)
Chocolate: Ghirardelli’s isn’t really a luxury brand and since I live so close to SF, I can easily go to their factory, haha. But I found myself really liking the pumpkin caramel spice and peppermint bark so these additions were a plus in my book.

This was my first popsugar box and I don’t know if I want to buy another one. Maybe when they have deals/coupons…

I got my box pretty early because I live about 2 hours away from Gilroy, the starting location (I guess living on the west coast isn’t always that bad – though it does take me a lot longer to get my birchbox), and I was wondering when you’d post your review because you always seem to have yours up long before most people receive their boxes!!
