Batch Nashville Subscription Box Review - Jan 2014 Nola

Batch Nashville Discover 40 page Notebook - Value $5?

Nola Granola Salted Caramel Granola - Value $7

I avoid gluten and oats, so I didn't get to try this granola, but I was told it's delicious. And they even have their own subscription program if you want a monthly granola delivery!

Batch Nashville Subscription Box Review - Jan 2014 Peanut Butter

Everly Drink Packets - Value $2.50

Good Spread All Natural Peanut Butter - Value $3 total

This peanut butter is really good, and I love that the company donates food to malnourished kids for every packet sold!

Batch Nashville Subscription Box Review - Jan 2014 Soap

Roux Maison Laundry Sampler - Value $12

I'm very happy with my Honest Company laundry products, but I love that these are eco-friendly and smell great. I think I'll save them for travel!

Verdict: I liked the curation of products this month, and I'll use just about everything. I wish this month's box had a few more full size items though - this box felt a little light. I'm not sure if I'll extend my subscription for another three months. What do you think of the January Batch Nashville box?

Same, I won’t be resubscribing. Luckily I got in when it was $75 for 3 months, but for that money I could get 2 sub boxes of better value.

Do you know if there are any Portland, Oregon or just Oregon sub boxes? A travel box section on your blog might be good – I know you get a few boxes from different locations and I had thought you mentioned one from Oregon – but could have been a general travel box. This one looked fun initially but I agree with the rest – January looks somewhat disappointing! I found a Cape Cod subscription box I’m going to try and would really like on from the West coast as well!! Thanks for your great blog. My checking account doesn’t thank you – but I’m definitely an addict nowadays!

I have gotten “Tique” boxes from Portland, OR. I like them. They send things that are hand made in Portland. My son lives there so this provides a little connection to Portland. They currently are offering a Valentine’s Day box. You can check out their website @

I also like that they do not automatically sign you up for monthly boxes but rather have been focusing on holiday boxes that you can sign up for one at a time. If you google them you will see previous boxes. They include a personal note and that’s nice too.

Awesome – thanks for the tip! I will definitely check them out!!

This was my last box with them and I cancelled. I couldn’t justify the $30 bucks for what I was receiving . By the way those notebooks cost our company about .27 cents a piece for a small bulk order. That’s the reason they are in every subscription box.

I will say after I cancelled, I received the most charming email from the most charming email from the owner. Almost made me want to sign up again! Gotta love that Southern Hospitality. If they bring their price down, I will re subscribe.

I feel the same way when it comes to literal sub value. It needs to at least be worth what I paid for so I feel like I got my money’s worth. That’s a pricey sub for some pretty paltry offerings. And as a side note, what’s the deal with so many subs sending out notebooks? Granted I do still believe in written correspondence if the occasion calls for it, but a notebook doesn’t even enter into such an equation for me. I’m surprised that they’re still being made aside from kids’ school supplies.

Glad I’m not the only one who feels this way about notebooks – we definitely have more than we could ever use thanks to subscription boxes!

Do they provide the “retail value” prices or are you looking them up yourself? I’d be seriously PO’ed if I paid over $30 for that!!!

They don’t provide prices so I looked them up.

Yeah, I really didn’t like this box. I won’t be subscribing again…

I also totally agree. While I like what I got it does seem light and lacking. I don’t think I will extend mine past the 3 months I signed up for. While I like it I found it disappointing and I don’t think I’ll miss it given the price.

I agree with you about the box being light! It seems like there was much there for $32.50 month! I think there should have been more too. It’s nice to be introduced to these products, but it seems that they are getting by rather cheap! I feel that way about another local sub I get and I’m about ready to cancel it to as everything in there doesn’t seem to add up to what they charge. They can put any price on a product, but that’s not necessarily what I would pay for it or what it truly should be worth. I guess I just like to see my sub boxes worth what I pay for them!
