Mine arrived today. I have to say the samples are a bit smaller than I expected, even for la prairie, whose products tend to be tiny for what they cost. I did the full regime tonight and have to say they all were lovely. The cream cleanser was very thick and had a moisturizing effect, even after following with the toner. I used a mini loofah face pad to apply it to get a microdermabrasion-like effect. It left my skin feeling clean but not taut like many toners which is great. Next I applied the dry oil. The product dispenses a bit strangely, just FYI. The bottle has a medicine dropper used to draw up and then release the oil. Even though it is an oil, it didn’t disperse as widely or easily as I thought it would because it absorbed almost on contact. So I had to use a bit more than I preferred. But it didn’t leave me greasy or anything, just sort of dewy-glowy. I allowed at least 3-5 minutes between steps to allow products to absorb fully and/or dry as applicable (face wash, toner). Next up was the caviar eye cream. Well, it’s not really a cream but more of a clear gel. It comes out VERY quickly from the tube so be careful not to squeeze much at all. It had a lovely scent as did all the products and also absorbed quickly after I dotted it around my under eye area and over my lids. For being a gel, it felt much creamier than I expected which was an interesting surprise. Finally, I applied the moisturizer to the whole face. It felt very luxurious but didn’t leave me greasy once it absorbed. All said and done, I very much enjoyed the products and look forward to using them for as long as I can make them last. I do wish Glossy included an extrapolated value instead of the full size value. It’s misleading to say the tiny tube of eye gel is worth $300. The full size product does retail for that price, but the sample size is only 1/8th the size. It’s pretty simple math, just done by the price per ounce. It’s still an amazing value so there is no reason to inflate retail value (though every sub does it; this was just a bit over the top–we all know we didn’t get $1,100 worth of product for $40). Now if Glossy could get their act together, be up front with customers who are STILL waiting for their missing Jan boxes (I’m now 100% convinced they’ve run out of a big ticket item(s) and are waiting to ship the remaining subscriber boxes until they receive more or a replacement item–also not fair to those who bought for a specific product. If what happened to me last year is happening again, I will be done for good with Glossy, and it’s looking like history repeating based on things they’re CS reps are saying and how this whole mess has played out). Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, well, we all know how that goes. So count your blessings if you already received your box. About half of us weren’t so lucky. And probably won’t see what we specifically paid for at any point. Been there, done that and there won’t be a third time for me!

I too have not received my January box yet. No email update either. Frustrating.

I had purchased it using the sneak peek email some subscribers received. It already shipped. My Jan box? Still hasn’t moved/updated/changed. For some reason they seem to be unable to ship about half of the monthly boxes. I was told most recently it could be weeks before they ship mine. Needless to say, I’m done with Glossy. Again. For the exact same reason I dropped them the last time. The la prairie box was too good a deal to pass up since the value is there times 100+. The creams can and do last forever (I splurged on some last year).

By the way, the la prairie products are in my top 3 skin care faves, along with Clarins Total Double Serum and Chanel Sublimage. Closet things to Botox without a needle I’ve found yet.

I looked these products up to see if I would be interested, and after seeing how much they cost I passed, there is no way I would be able to afford this line if I fall in love with these samples. 🙂

I agree Annette, the only reason I almost considered it is, I need an eye cream but I don’t really need the other products.

I couldn’t pass this one up, the box is valued at $178! KristenMee on youtube put up a review today.

I’m broke, so I’ll pass. It looks like a good deal.

It’s a very good line, but I’m going to pass on this one. Rather maybe try another box subscription with the $40.
