New Subscription Box for Dogs & Cats - Get Pet Box!

Pet Box is a new subscription for both cats and dogs. This subscription is a little different from other pet subscription boxes in that you get to pick out your items each month - or you can be surprised.

The Box: Pet Box

The Cost: $39 a month ($29 a month with annual plan)

The Products: Up to 6 items of your choosing (toys, treats, grooming products, etc), or Pet Box will surprise you. And for each box shipped Pet Box donates a meal to a rescue dog.

What do you think of Pet Box? It's a pretty pricey subscription in my opinion, but I do like that they let you pick out the items if you want. (My dog can be very picky about the types of treats and toys he likes, so that's a pretty valuable feature for us).

I was super curious so I opened an account and packed my petbox. You get 6 credits for each box and the selections range between 1-3 credits.

The selection appeared a little limited in terms of variety of types of items. For example, the grooming section seemed a little sparse.

I picked out 3 items in the treat category. Because they were the fancy stuff, they totaled the 6 credits you get to spend.

Honest Kitchen Pecks (1 credit)
Honest Kitchen Ice Pops (2 credits)
Stella and Chewy’s Carnivore Crunch (3 credits)

My total if I bought from Amazon would be $36.59 for those items. But those were some of the most expensive items I could have chosen. The prices on toys were much lower and all were mid-to-low quality toys.

So it doesn’t seem like a good deal to me.

i agree, i think the price is a bit high, the $29 per month being a bit more reasonable but hard to commit to for 12 months.

I think $39 is a lot for a pet box even if you get to select your products. If they offer a GREAT coupon I might consider getting the box for my Lab Buddy! Buddy loves to get mail!

My shiba inu-husky mix Buddy loves boxes in the mail, too. So do my kids. I’m definitely a bad subscription influence!
