Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review – Jan 2014

I loved my accessories box, I got a wonderful wool infinity scarf that I tossed aside a black cashmere scarf for, a silver and multi tone statement necklace and matching earrings and a oversize silver watch with black leather band. Everything is just so me!

Hmm. I’ve been going back and forth on whether to try a box of this. Custom jewelry surprises sounds intriguing. But then I’m tempted to just take that $36 and buy a bunch of cute things from Sam Moon. :/

My box was really nice…I got a bracelet that I love! A nice pair of earrings and a cute necklace. The bracelet made me glad that it pored red!

Your scarf and headband are cute. I don’t think I’d wear that necklace, though. I’ve gotten the Wantable accessories box for the past two months and have ended up returning the boxes each time. This month was a bit better than last month (I reviewed both on my blog), but I didn’t like it enough to make it worth keeping the box. I keep adjusting my preferences in my profile, so I hope the next box will be better. Actually, I was a little jealous when I saw your box (minus the necklace). Maybe I should tweak my preferences so I get scarves!

I must be blessed because i love Wantable’s accessory boxes. I received the scarf as you did – love it! and a great necklace, nothing at all like the one you received – I would have been upset too! There were earrings in the box also but i’m not crazy over them nor was I with the ones last month. Hope I get some different things in the box next time; enough necklaces and scarves – I want other stuff!

I tried the Accessories box for a few months. But I ended up getting things that I didn’t like. It wasn’t worth it to keep getting it if I only liked one item that was less then the box price.

I don’t care for the Wantable accessories box, but I love their intimates box and like their makeup box. I have had some accessories that I love from Wantable, but I have also received very cheaply made products. I always skip my accessories box now in favor of intimates or makeup. I agree with a previous poster about the “binder clips”. Can you take them off?

it almost looks like the black plastic is temporary, just to protect the necklace from clinking in the post. is that a possibility?

I had the same reaction both times I tried the accessories sub. I love the intimates and I’m on the fence about the beauty sub, but the accessories was a no go for me. I’ve tried twice, each time changing my quiz. This was try #2 for me this month and I got two rings – one gold wraparound leaf design, one silver heart shaped pave rhinestone (cute), an oversize gold watch, and some pretty tacky black plastic spike earrings. My experience with cheap gold watches isn’t good (they tarnish fast so only usable for a short time frame), but I’m a bit of a watch snob anyway. But I love me some big costume jewelry otherwise. I’ve found that your bijoux box has a better value for me, but alas no scarves or other non-jewelry items there.

I agree with your thoughts on the Accessories box. I’ve only gotten one so far & I’ve returned it. Accessories are such a hard thing to match, right? I was hoping for some dainty, elegant little necklace & ended up with these geometric bizarrely shaped ring & earrings. More tweaking!

It’s not just you, my first thought when I saw the necklace was fancy safety pins.
