Pijon Box Review Feb 2014 - College Subscription Box Card

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included for that month.

Pijon Box Review Feb 2014 - College Subscription Box Color Club

Color Club Polish in Nature's Way - Value $8

Color Club Polish in Love Links - Value $8

They've included Color Club polish in a previous box, but I have no complaints. (It's one of my favorite nail polish formulas!)

Pijon Box Review Feb 2014 - College Subscription Box Oat Works

Popbar Hot Chocolate on a Stick - Value $3

OatWorks Pomegranate Blueberry Smoothie - Value $3

These Popbars are really good for making hot chocolate or just eating straight off the bar!

Pijon Box Review Feb 2014 - College Subscription Box Reviver

Rooted Beauty Razz Lime Lip Butter - Value $5

Reviver Dry Deodorant for Clothes - Value $2

At first when I saw this lip balm container, I was a little worried the cap would come off in the bottom of my purse, but it stays on pretty snug. (Oh and the natural lip balm flavor is great too!)

Pijon Box Toothbrush

Brush with Bamboo Toothbrush  - Value $6

Go Towel (3 Pack) - Value $4

Pijon Box seems to be the only college care package box that regularly includes natural products. (Both of these items are made with bamboo and free of harmful ingredients). I'm definitely a fan of natural products, so this is a win for me!

Verdict: This box cost $29 and included about $39 worth of items. (I signed up for this box a while ago with a Living Social deal, so I paid a little less for this box). I'm happy with the value, but since there is never a "big ticket" item with this box, I always find myself wondering where the value is until I tally everything up!

What do you think of the items in this month's Pijon Box?

I got the box for guys and it came with bamboo straws instead of nail polish. I thought the items were pretty cool and useful.

I get this box for my college student daughter and feel like everything is kind of fun and appropriate for dorm life. What college student thinks of replacing their toothbrush, or having an extra wash cloth handy? This one’s a keeper.

I also purchased this through living social which makes this about 13 buks a ox. For that price it’s great. I would be bummed if I paid full price. Items are ok–but there really is no deal- I think the prices are inflated.

I too got this too with living social deal. I have been less than impressed with the items. Wont order again unless its reallllly cheap. I hope I get something different than what you got, I’m seeing some items I dont care for again.

I received mine today, same items, only the flavors of the smoothie and the lip balm are different.

Got my Pijon today. I always like the stuff and my kids always think some things are cool and whisk them away to their rooms, but none are real necessities and nothing I can’t live without. I’m always glad to see new things but have just finished my livingsocial subscription and marked this one as a “cancel”

I’m probably getting this today, or maybe Monday. I’m not super thrilled with what we’re getting…I just signed up for another couple of months too, now I’m asking myself why.
I see from the card that the theme is “Rise and shine”….so, where’s the caffeine? or maybe a nice face product to help us look well rested? How about a cute face mask or earplugs to help us sleep (trust me, you need those when your neighbors are partying at 3AM.) Idk, I guess as a college student, this seems more like a box for a family member to feel good giving, than really being geared towards what a student needs. & anotherr lip balm? lol I didn’t use the last ones.
So far, I LOVED the caffeinated chocolate, the Rooted beauty wipes (for that reason, I’ll give this balm a try) and the campfire sporks, although I don’t have a need for them, lol. Maybe I’ll pack them with my lunch.
This box in particular…deodorant remover wipes? a go towel…? and a Toothbrush?! do you really think I don’t already have a toothbrush? Those last two items seem more like things you take on a wilderness trip, which I personally stay away from.

Those Revivers are not deodorant removing wipes, they remove the smell off clothes and hair. Pretty cool for when you smell like some restaurant or bar.

I double checked to see if there was anything else I did like…
the vitamins were good, but WOW they’re expensive! I already use gummy vitamins that are half the price!
I liked the B12 lollipops, didn’t really notice a huge difference but hey.
The waxelene was cool, that’s my second vial I’ve received.
And I probably would have liked the socks, but I thought the ones I got were SO ugly.
The Bagu bag was cute, but that style doesn’t work as well for me as other reusable bags I already have, I’ll probably gift it.

And anything else that didn’t get mentioned, it’s because I didn’t use it.

I subscribed to this box and a couple others for my daughter who is in college. Out of them all Pijon is the one that she asked for me to unsubscribe from. Next month is her last month.

I think that the items in this month are pretty cool, but the variety could be better as well as the value.
