Silly Rhino - Baby and Toddler Subscription Box Review Box

Silly Rhino is a relatively new subscription box for children ages 0-4. They emphasize only using the highest quality, environmentally conscious and safest items. (FYI today is the last day to order to get the February Box!)

Silly Rhino kindly sent me this box to review. (Boxes are customized by age - this is the 4 year old box).

Silly Rhino - Baby and Toddler Subscription Box Review Blocks

Silly Rhino - Baby and Toddler Subscription Box Review Book

Wherever You Are My Love Will Find You - Value $8

I looked through this book and the message is so sweet, plus the illustrations are beautiful too. It will make a great gift!

Silly Rhino - Baby and Toddler Subscription Box Review Paint

Natural Earth Paint - Value $7

These eco-friendly powdered paints are made with only natural earth pigments and organic milk protein. You can add a 1:1 water mixture for creamy colors, or add a little more water for a watercolor look!

Silly Rhino - Baby and Toddler Subscription Box Review Cut Outs

FunBites Heart Shaped Cutter - Value $13

This heart shaped cutter works on just about any food - pancakes, cheese, sandwiches, watermelon, cold cuts, etc. And it's made in the USA and BPA free! (It's top-shelf dishwasher safe too!)

Silly Rhino - Baby and Toddler Subscription Box Review Frame

Framed Winnie the Pooh Quote - Value $15

I've never seen a framed print in a subscription box before, but I thought it was a really special addition to this box. And it could probably work just as well for an adult as a kid!

Verdict: This box has a value of approximately $55! I'm impressed with the value, and even more pleased with the curation. You can really tell that so much thought and love went into putting this box together. (I'm also always super concerned about the items I give as gifts to babies and kids, so I love that this box is eco-conscious).

What do you think of Silly Rhino?

Saw this on Silly Rhino’s website today (8-9-14):

After much thought, we have decided to discontinue Silly Rhino as a subscription box company. July will be our last month and all orders, placed before midnight CST on July 5, 2014, will be fulfilled, but no new orders will be accepted beyond July 5. All long-term subscribers will promptly receive refunds for their remaining months, and all month-to-month subscribers will receive their July box and not be charged further beyond midnight on July 5. Thank you to all our wonderful subscribers, bloggers and brand partners for your support. We have plans to reinvent Silly Rhino in the future as a different kind of business, so we are not saying good-bye, but rather – see you soon…

Aw. I am sort of sad this is only through age 4. Although my son just turned 4 in December. Who knows, maybe the stuff could be used when he gets older as well. But I thought this one was super cute. I’m going to think about it. It just seems so well done and thought through.

Do you know if the 1-2 year old box got the framed print as well? Or do you have a way to find out? I want to order the print, but it looks like I can only get it in the box, but I have a 1 year old and don’t want to purchase a 4 year old box.

I recommend asking Silly Rhino: http://sillyrhino.com/contact-us/

This is the January box, so I don’t think it’s possible to still get the framed print.

We LOVE Silly Rhino! It sure beats Citrus Lane and Bluum in my book! My son received the same box as you reviewed and we were very happy with it. The book makes me cry every time I read it to my boys.
I definitely recommend to box to anyone with children. 🙂
