Lip Factory Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Box

Lip Factory is a monthly full-size makeup subscription box. They tend to send a variety of drugstore and mid-tier makeup, and the value seems to always be at least double the cost of the box. (Extra good news – they ship worldwide!)

Every three months I believe they do a lip product only box, and that includes this month!

Lip Factory Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Lip Gloss

Mirenesse Lip Bomb #13 - Value $35

Jesse's Girl Lip Liner in Bubble Gum - Value $2

These Mirenesse lip stain/glosses seem to be in a lot of subscription boxes lately! This color is more my style than other ones I've received so I'm pleased!

Lip Factory Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Lip Balm

Jessie's Girl Vitamin E Treatment - Value $4

Ellovi Lip Butter - Value $5

I love this Ellovi lip butter - it works great and the ingredients are great too!

Lip Factory Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Cargo

These colors are gorgeous!

Verdict: I paid $22 for this box and received nearly $70 worth of makeup. If you’re looking for a full size makeup subscription box, I definitely recommend Lip Factory – you definitely get a lot of products for your money.

Giving this another try, but a little disappointed by the Mirenesse color (I got 13 – neutrals wash me out) and the fact that there were 2 Jesse’s Girl products in the box. Been wanting Ipsy, but I’ve been on the waiting list for 2 months.

I may just have to sign up for this box, I love anything that has to do with painting my lips. lol Plus $22 a month doesn’t sound as bad. I just got a delivery from NYX cosmetics, so you can say I’m addicted to anything lipstick, lip balm or lip related.

I received the #16 lip bomb, which is pretty much as neutral and sand-colored as you can get. I was disappointed; I just can’t pull off nudes like that…I look like I’m wearing concealer on my lips. But I have some hope: I layered the neon pink lip crayon I got last month with one of the neutral Cargo glosses from this month (I got the Casablanca palette, so more browns and nudes), and really liked the result. The hot pink was toned down with the neutral gloss. So maybe I can figure out how to boost that lip bomb up with some bright lip gloss layered on top.

I was just really hoping to get a red-orange so I could try the new orange trend for spring! Oh, well!

I got almost the same box, I got #15 on the Mirenesse lip bomb, though. More of a tan color. It’s not something I would have chosen for myself, but I randomly put it on and wore it to work one day and got compliments from a couple of the paralegals.

Lip Factory is good like that. If I had my way, I’d probably only ever buy bright red lip products. But I’ve had two months of Lip Factory now, and they’ve gotten me out of my comfort zone a bit (I’m wearing the bright pink lip crayon from last month at the moment).
