I got tired of all the tiny samples from Test Tube, which add clutter and don’t really let you know if a product works for you longer term. Definitely interested in this one. Thanks to everyone who posted the amazing stuff they got!

I Just got my first box – I got a FULL SIZE glamglo mask (worth $70!). I’m honestly floored.

Just got my shipping notification! Yay! I’m really excited about this one, I’m hoping for a Moroccanoil product 😉 It should be here by Thursday!

I just got my box!! It came a day early and I received the full sized 3.4 fl oz Moroccanoil Frizz Control!! LOVE IT, I have been wanting this product for a while so I’m super thrilled with what I got 😀 I think I’m going to stick with this sub for a while since I canceled my Blush Mystery box and see how it goes! I really like the idea of getting a full sized product based on my preferences. I can’t wait to hear what everyone else got!

I am going to try Beauty DNA. I have grown disappointed with the other beauty boxes I have been receiving. They might be better deals to start with, but when I don’t use or like half the products, they end up not such a great deal.

Yeah, I’m not understanding what the benefit or the value of this box is if you only get one full sized product that is valued at $20 or more. So I pay $25 and may get a product that is worth less than what I paid for the box? If I wanted to pay regular price for a product I would just go buy the item. If the item is more expensive than the $25, well it would almost be better just to save for it it rather than getting mystery items that you may or may not like. As for the customization aspect of it, it is nice but you can easily get the right product to address your concerns for free on any of the skincare companies websites. Maybe I’m missing something here?

Disregard, some are saying it is worth $45 but I haven’t seen that on their website. I also saw on a FB comment that they said you will get at least 1-2 products.

I think I’m going to sign up. Hopefully it’s worth it. Sounds like a pretty great company & wouldn’t hurt to try it! I’d never heard of subscription boxes until I stumbled upon this site. I’ve just signed up for 4 boxes & want to see which ones I like best.

I just signed up. $25 for a full-sized product valued at least $20 higher seems like an interesting deal. The questionnaire was a bit daunting. I was worried about saying that I didn’t like something and then missing out on a great product. I hope this ends up being a good value.

Only ONE product for $25 a month, I did read that right? If that’s the case, i wouldn’t be too enthused.

I actually think it’s a great idea. Let’s say I need a new moisturizer and I like high end brands. I pay $25 and can customize this box to be sure I get a moisturizer that is valued AT LEAST $45. I’m happy with that deal. If you’re not usually one to buy high end skin care, then it’s probably a waste, but if not, it’s a good deal.

Yea one product! No Thanks, you seem to be the only person making any sense in the comments. Lol

Think it’s more silly to pay for a bag/box of samples or products that you just throw into your stash, and you or may not use it. My skin got worse because of sampling from the random subscriptions I was using. This is less beauty clutter and the products are geared to YOUR tastes & skin problems versus receiving what everybody else receives. The reviews online are for products that at least retail for $60 plus. Think it’s actually a better deal than most beauty subscriptions.

A couple of months ago I was much quicker to jump on the bandwagon for subscriptions. I was like a kid in a candy store. Perhaps it’s because I just reorganized all my skincare samples last night (I’m up to two big JustFab shoeboxes full now), but I’m not so eager to spend $25 for one item, either — especially not when I have so many other things to try that I’ve already paid for.

I just signed up! I’m a sucker for a skincare-based subscription. I was sad when the box that Dermstore used to offer was canceled. I often got full-size products with that one. That’s why I’m excited about BeautyDNA. As I know you, Liz, have mentioned, it’s so difficult to decide if a skincare product is effective when you only receive a small tube or foil packet. So I’m excited to receive only full-size products valued over $45. I’ll give it a couple months.

I just signed up. I’ll try it for a month and see if its a good value!

I signed up. It lets you choose the type of product you want the first month, hair is what I picked. It also says it sends you a full size product valued at at least $45. I will try it once and cancel if I don’t like it.

I’m so tempted by this! I get so many skincare items that I am not interested in at all that maybe this is more worthwhile?

Liz – Do you know if they are going to send items worth $25 or will the values be significantly higher?

Liz Cadman

I think the value may be up to $45 or more per item, but it will vary.

Ah. I caved in! I can’t resist!!! If i like this though, I may finally kick birchbox & newbeauty to the curb!

It looks interesting. I like that it is highly customized, but my subscription and beauty dollars are limited. I would rather buy what I want, when I need it. I am good at reading labels and reviews, and good at find deals on beauty products. I would probably purchase if they allowed you to choose between several items each month (like Julep). Maybe they could add that option. I would probably sign up immediately if that were the case.

That’s exactly what I was thinking too!

Interesting, but waiting for more reviews before trying it.

I think you just get sent your full-size product. For $25 I’m pretty skeptical but I signed up anyways. My session timed out on the last page (I didn’t even leave my browser window!) but fortunately everything was saved.

Do they show you before you place the order? Or do you have to buy it when the match you with it?

Liz Cadman

It’s a complete surprise – you find out what item you get when it arrives!

Thanks, I already bit the bullet and got something.
