Beauty Box 5 Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Card

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included for that month.

Beauty Box 5 Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Lipstick

Nicka K New Yok Hydro Lipstick in Concerto - FULL SIZE! Value $4.99

Bonne Bell Lip Definer in Boysenberry - FULL SIZE! Value $3.95

I didn't know Bonne Bell was still around - I just thought they disappeared after I stopped using their Lip Smackers in middle school, but apparently they are still making the Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker I used to love!

Beauty Box 5 Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Eyeshadow

BH Cosmetics California Collection Eyeshadow Palette - Value $3

I think I received this palette before in either an Ipsy or Birchbox, so I may share this extra with a friend!

Beauty Box 5 Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Blum

Jergens Natural Glow 3 Days to Glow Moisturizer Sample Packs - Value $1.50

Blum Naturals All-Purpose Cleansing Wipes in Citrus Scent - Value $2.49

I love these Blum Naturals cleansing wipes - the scent is really light, and it even has a keychain!

Verdict: I paid $8.25 for this box and received about $16 worth of beauty products. This is on the lower end of values for Beauty Box 5 boxes, and I may not use everything, but I definitely got my money's worth this month. I'm hoping the May box has an even higher value though!

What did you think of the April Beauty Box 5 Box?

Even though I’m really only interested in organic beauty items, after reading your reviews I decided to sign up. The price is great. Even if I could only use or at least try 2 items in the box it will be worth the price. Almost seems like a win a win with the beauty box 5 reviews I’ve been reading so far.
Signed up today, so I’ll be getting my first box in May :).

I received a burgundy color of the lipstick but haven’t tried it yet; I think it would be a better color for fall. I haven’t tried anything in my bb5 honestly yet but I was surprised to see that there are 30 wipes in that small container. I’m disappointed that the lip liner is bonne belle brand, the eye shadow colors I received are the same & I will only use the middle color. I’m also displeased my Jergen’s sample is medium and I’m extremely fair skinned. I’m checking out the previous BB5 reviews and then I may give them another couple of months or cancel and switch to another subscription.

Im not much of a lipstick type of girl but I’m excited to try the eyeshadow and the wipes. I most likely won’t be using the lip liner and I’m a medium skin color so i will be trying out the glow sample.

I was ok with this box. The lipstick and liner are nice. I already have some of the jergens 3 day in medium so could have passed on the sample. I don’t care for the eyeshadow. I’m always disappointed when sub’s add BH cosmetics, while I have a few of their brush sets that are ok, I’m not a fan of their cosmetics. The wipes I love. I like these wipes anyway and the mini with the key chain is soo cute!! I’m such a Mom!! Only a mom of 4 kiddos would get so excited over wipes!! LOL!!

I don’t know, I have 4 cats (some with medical conditions) and I think I would get excited over wipes, as well!

Haha!! Well, cats are our babies too, so same difference.

We just lost our huge Maincoon we had for 13 yrs. He was big part of our family and will be sorely missed. He had feline urinary tract surgery about 8 yrs ago and 2 yrs ago got an infected abscess, stopped eating and had to have a feeding tube for a week. So, I know having to take care of them with medical issues can be trying at times, but also worth it!

We also have 2 dogs, so I love animals in general. But cats are so great aren’t they? Each cat has a unique personality.

We are planning on getting a new kitten soon. No other cat can ever replace Tiger, but we would like for our 2 yr old to have one to grow up with like our other children grew up with him.

I was happy with my BB5. I subscribed for a year so only paid $6+ for each box. My lip liner lid was missing though. 🙁

I opted out this month for the 24ClearIt Acne Kit instead which is an awesome kit. No regrets, although the box looks great this month. I would have enjoyed it if I didn’t opt out.

I am 36 and I have been using the Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker for a couple of decades, at least! (I think they might’ve changed the formula recently, though.) I get bummed when Target runs out and I have to try a different kind.

I am liking BB5 – I guess I didn’t do the math to see it was not such a great deal. The lipstick is super creamy and a neutral, I tried it on (opened by box at work) and it’s a nice one to put on without much effort. I did not try the lip liner yet. I also got the eye shadow trio in Ipsy months ago so I’ll be giving this to my daughter or daughter in law. I never used the wipes so they are a new one for me to try and the Jergen sample you can get FREE at walmart.com or target. com when they offer their samples. So yes, the big thing in the box is the wipes, but for the price ,On my budget, BB5 is meeting my beauty addiction subscription. To pay $21- and up with other subscriptions and not use products makes more sense to just get a full size of something I will use.

Hi Liz, Please check your email for the site. I have a swapper threatening me and would like if you could address the issue before I contact the police. Thank you.

I got the same exact box too! The lipstick is not really my shade, and I’m really fair and also got the Natural Glow for medium to tan skin. Excited to try the eye shadow sample though!

I got the same items. At first glance I was pretty disappointed. I’m not a lipstick kind of gal, but I did go with a light hand and actually liked the color. The liner is a nice light shade for me and I can use it with a gloss. I don’t think I’ve received the eye shadow before, and I ended up liking the colors. I think it’s sad when “wipes” are the highlight of a box though. I also am not sure why I got medium to tan skintones on the lotion. I am as pale as they come. Not sure if I can even use the sample without it looking odd.
