Julep Summer Gift Set

Julep has a new limited time welcome gift offer! Use coupon code HELLOYOU to get this 5-piece Limited Edition Summer Beauty Box free! ($2.99 shipping).

The details on this gift: "Your free gift includes Kajal Eye Glider, Julep Lip Gloss in Graceful, and three nail colors: Kayla (Bombshell), Mariska (Classic with a Twist), and Raegan (Bombshell). Each month, log into your Maven account between the 20th-24th to preview the next brand-new, can't-miss Maven collection. During that selection window, you can customize your box as much (or as little) as you'd like. You'll be billed for your box on the 27th, and we'll ship it soon after. Get 20% off and free shipping on julep.com after you join. Cancel anytime."

Julep Free Gift

Julep recently changed their subscription a little bit, so here's what you need to know:

  • The monthly price is now $24.99, but if you sign up for a 3-month subscription you can still get the $19.99 a month rate. (Use this link to get the 3-month deal).
  • This Summer gift is only available with the $24.99 monthly rate. But you still get their normal free gift with the $19.99 3-month subscription.
  • Subscriptions will be more customizable now - we'll see exactly what that looks like when the June box selection window opens!

Check out my Julep Maven reviews if you want to learn more about this subscription!

For those interested, I have recently cancelled several subscriptions and Julep was the biggest pain of them all. Aside from the fact that I had to call in to cancel – which I already find annoying – they also tried to convince me to stay during my call. Then today I received shipping confirmation for an order I did not place. After being on the phone with them for like 10 minutes it looks like I’m going to be double-billed as punishment for pre-ordering my May box through their crowd funding promotion. Overall, if you’re not already a subscriber, I recommend you don’t get yourself involved with them. They’re a serious pain and make more “accidentally charged you” mistakes than any other sub I’ve had. Their products just aren’t worth the hassle (or price!).

I joined Julep based on this offer. At first I couldn’t get it to work but then it just did, don’t know what happened.

I chose the $24.99/month option so that I could get this box and not be buying 3 boxes that I might not want. Julep seems like it might get too expensive. But we will see. I’ve never used any of their products so maybe it’ll be great.

Is it wrong that I’m totally considering having my mom sign up just for this set and then canceling? 🙂 I feel wrong!

I just tried using it and it did not work for me. And I picked the $24.99 option.

It did not work for me either! Sucks for them because they would’ve gained a loyal customer too!

How is the cancellation policy for Julep? Fairly easy to cancel?

Thanks!

Looks like you have to call in to cancel, which I find really annoying when so many subs have a button to cancel. It’s a huge pet peeve of mine and makes me less interested in recommending the box to others. I will be cancelling after I get my June box, so hopefully they make it easy and not try to “convince” me to stay. That kind of stuff always irritates me.

Calling is definitely annoying, but when I called to cancel they didn’t try to give me a hard sell. The only question they asked was why I wasn’t satisfied with the box, and I think I gave a generic answer like “I don’t like the colors” and they didn’t push it or ask any followups.

Got these free box first month deals in the last. Worked again this time 🙂

Looks like a good deal, I might have to grab this. I wish those sunglasses were included lol! (originally I thought they were because I can’t count and thought there were 4 nail polish/makeup items).

Thanks for all of your posts Liz. Even when I can’t subscribe to everything that I want to, I can still live vicariously through you! Also, I bet moving would be TERRIBLE for you – you’d have to change your address for a billion subscriptions!

Is everyone being charged 24.99 now? Or is it just new subscribers? Just curious. I never got anything about the price changing.

Natallie

I got charged too! Wasn’t it suppose to be free?

If you already have a Julep Maven subscription your price won’t change 🙂

Oh wow, I love all those colors! I cancelled my Julep sub in February…I wonder if I’d count as a “new” subscriber now so I could use that code…
