I’ve heard way too many customer service horror stories to try this box even with a coupon this good. It’s not worth the haggling that seems to go on when someone wants to cancel.

I got one of these boxes on a promotion and LOVED it! The box was huge and packed with all sorts of new snacks I’d never heard of. Pretty great variety, too. I’m off to find that Groupon now 😀

I got the vegan UrthBox through a Gilt City deal. I thought the boxes were a nice size and I liked pretty much everything in them — enough to subscribe to the smallest box (~$20 a month?) for six months afterwards. I’m still very happy with them. The boxes have been consistently full (and heavy) and I’m even getting some full-sized, multi-serving snacks and a few pantry-type items. I had initially sworn off any more food subs after UrthBox runs out, but I’m thinking about changing my mind and keeping it. (Quantity/size have been better than Vegan Cuts, in my opinion.)
So, I like the food, I feel like I’m getting a good deal, and they treat the deal site customers the same way they treat regular customers (i.e., you get the same box). Also I pestered their CS one day and got a lot of answers fairly quickly (by e-mail).

Maybe Social Bliss will step up their game now there is a new box subscription similar to this box. I am too old for either box, but I can see this new box giving Social Bliss a run for their money.

Don’t know much about it because it seems new, but I can see the purse/jewelry aspect appealing to people who like Social Bliss. It’s a dress, designer purse, and jewelry based on your survey for $49.99. They also advertise a full refund if unhappy. I haven’t tried either subscription. Both would had appealed to me about 5 years ago. I’m checking it out for my sister.

Just not my favorite. I hated the first box and although some of the subsequent have been better hearing about bad customer service just keeps me from even gifting this box.

I find it infuriating that all their promos are for NEW subscribers only. I’ve emailed them about it twice since I’ve been one of their biggest defenders during questionable quality box months. Other than one promo for a free gift not one has been for loyal customers. This totally torqued me off to see. They were complete a-holes when I mentioned that it encouraged folks to unsubscribe and then resub to get the new customer only deals, by saying they actively work to prevent that and will block anyone who tries it. Way to go SB! Great customer service for the ones who have been with you since month #1. If I buy a 3 month sub now (and/or “upgrade”) I lose the lower shipping price benefit. I did the math and it’s $2.10 savings for shipping for grandfathered members. It’s $6 savings with this coupon, so that comes out as a wash for me. Actually, it saves me .30 over the sub period. Perhaps they need to actually take a look at the disincentives they’re giving existing customers to upgrade? If Aug doesn’t blow me away, I’m just done period. No more defending iffy value boxes for me. I tried to support them but this is one slap in the face too many for me.

I am a current subscriber and was able to add this to my account (I just double checked and yup, it’s there). I also did this with a 20% off code that was put out a few months ago. It just sits in your account until your subscription comes up for renewal. So my subscripton renewed for July at ~$103 after the discount for the next three months. I assume or at least hope this code does the same and comes off at my next renewal.

I wish they had more jaw-dropping promotions. I don’t think I’ll ever try them unless they have a promo that will feel like a steal compared to their current prices. :/
