Harry's Razor Blade Subscription Review - October 2014 Set

Harry's is a subscription service and shop dedicated completely to shaving. You can set up any type of frequency subscription plan you like:

Harry's Plan Options

We subscribe to the regular 4 blades a month plan, but for this review I also bought the Truman set to show you what you get with a kit. (The subscriptions are for blades and/or shave cream, foaming gel, and aftershave. You buy your razor handle separately as a one time purchase).

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Harry’s

The Cost: Starts at $8

The Products: Razor Blades and Shave Cream. (You can pick how often you’d like the blades and/or shave cream delivered).

The Truman Set - $15

You can buy this set in the shave cream or foaming gel version. This is the shave cream kit.

The kit comes with a handle (your choice of color),

3 blades total, a razor protector, and..

the shave cream. This shave cream is free of parabens and sulfates and has a nice minty scent. The total value of this kit is over $22.

Now onto the subscription part. We get 4 blades a month ($8 total).

The packaging of their products is so slick.

And the design and quality of their blades is great too.

Verdict: We've been a fan of Harry's for over a year now, and I'm really impressed with the brand because of the design - everything from the website to the packaging, to the actual product is done so well.

Do you subscribe to Harry's? What do you think of their products?

I just got this for my boyfriend as a holiday gift. I used the code TAILGATE and got the set for $10 dollars.

One thing that might get me to switch from DSC is the blade protector. DSC doesn’t come with one and I absolutely hate leaving my blades exposed.

Thanks so much for posting this! I ordered a Truman kit for my husband for Christmas for $10 with code MAILTIME. It’s such a stylish gift! My only concern is that he won’t like the non-grippy handle, but I’ll wait for his verdict before I buy more blades.

How do you think the quality compares to Dollar Shave Club?

I think the blades are thinner than Dollar Shave Club. I also like how they’re at a slightly steeper angle and the razor handles are just sleek and pretty awesome. You don’t have options in blades though like Dollar Shave Club. I know some people really like that one trim blade on the top that you can get with the highest priced one from DSC.
