Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Box

Wantable Accessories is one of the three Wantable subscription options. Each month they typically send you three items in categories like jewelry, scarves, sunglasses, etc. You can heavily customize this box by picking out which categories of items you want, and what styles and materials you prefer. (Lately I’ve been requesting only scarves and hair accessories – but I recently opened up to watches and necklaces too.)

Wantable kindly sent me this box to review. (Check out the review process postto learn more about how we review boxes).

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Info

Here are the categories I picked out. You must pick at least two categories for your likes or loves. You will never get any items on your dislike list.

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Headband

Headbands of Hope Everest Headband - Value $15

This headband is actually a really long tube - you can achieve different looks with it, and there's enough material to keep it from budging. (I also love that Headbands of Hope donates a headband to a girl with cancer for every headband purchased!)

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Necklace

Cameron Necklace - Retail Value $32

(The rest of the items in the box aren't name-brand so I'm going off of the value listed on the Wantable invoice). Between the size of the stones and the variety of colors, this necklace is just too bold for me. It will be gifted or swapped to someone more adventurous than me!

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Watch

Miranda Gold Watch - Retail Value $24

I like both of the watches I've received from Wantable so far, but now that I have two, I think I'll change my preferences again. I'm good on watches for a while!

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Necklace 2

Celia Necklace - Value $24

This necklace is much more my style for a statement piece. I like the antique gold metal with the blue stones too.

Verdict: With the exception of the super-bold necklace, this box was a hit for me. I'm going to revisit my profile and see if there are any style settings I can update to get more delicate jewelry pieces.

My October accessories box arrived today. I ordered it because they sent me a discount coupon. I was hoping for hair accessories, but I guess they ran out. I also received the Miranda Watch with a black band. I liked it. The other watch I received is the Mabel Watch which I really like. The description for the Mabel which reads “Pave rhinestones outline the classic face with gold and rhinestone accents. A simple leather band completes the Mabel watch.” I also received two scarves. I love the Emma scarf which is pink/red ombre infinity scarf. It brighten up my black and white shirt when I tried it on. I also received the Brook scarf which is a navy and ivory stripe scarf.
My loves for this box are: Classic, hair accessories, watches, gold tone, silver tone. Likes: Glam, scarves, multi-tone.

I already ordered one for November. The next box after that I am going to try out Boho although that box might not be ordered until January. I’m happy with my box.

I received my first box tonight and I can only blame myself for the chunky gold plated ring, 2 “interesting” long necklaces (gifts for the holiday grab bag) and a pretty nice silver bracelet. Time to update my profile. Can anyone tell me if you order a second box at the discounted rate does Wantables ensure you don’t get duplicate items?

Long story short, I’m hoping for better luck in November.

I may have had my expectation of quality set a little too high, but the watch and necklace I received both felt cheap and fragile to me (the made in China sticker on the watch didn’t help matters). I also got a blue and leopard scarf, which I might have worn, but the pink one they sent would’ve taken priority (and I’m not a pink person). Decided to send it back and try again next month, after tweaking the profile a bit.

I tried Wantable for the first time in October, with an Accessories box. First, Customer Service was super; I did not receive the first box they sent, so they sent me another, no extra charge. I was very careful in stating my preferences and I got four pieces I absolutely would have chosen myself, a watch, earrings, necklace, and bracelet set, all gorgeous. I have received compliments on each piece! The quality was a little less than what I imagined on a few pieces – one of the bracelets was plastic painted to look like metal – but it looked great on, so I didn’t mind. Overall very pleased I subscribed and very much looking forward to November’s box!

October was my first month. I thought I said I dislike watches, but then I got a watch and it looked so cheap. I wasn’t expecting too much for the price, but this was bad. Plus I didn’t want a watch anyways. I got two headbands, one was the thin blue one described by another commenter. I buy a 5 pack of these for my infant daughter for $3, yes they are smaller though. The other headband was like the one Liz got. I got a scarf which I did like, even though I must’ve bought a dozen scarves already this year. Anyways, I returned the box since I only like 1 of the 4 items. I may try again, and I’ll be really careful with my quiz so I don’t accidentally select something and then it takes up the main value of the box.

Btw, I was at Burlington yesterday and they have a huge and amazing accessories department. If I picked 4 things I actually liked, it wouldn’t come close to $36. I got two headbands I love for $4 each. They have tons of scarves and necklaces that I didn’t even have time to look at. For less money, I can pick out stuff that i love, but something about the surprise of it all keeps me interested in Wantable. I think the same thing about the intimates box. I get one every month, but I always think, we’ll I could get similar stuff from Burlington and actually choose it myself. And spend the same or less. Just my take on it…

I keep telling myself I don’t need a box this month. Last month’s box did not scream fall. I have events coming up where I can wear nice fall accessories 🙂

The second cluster on the left on the really bold necklace looks like pieces fell off or something. Doesn’t match the symmetry with the rest of the necklace – that would drive me insane!

I received my box last week. I actually got the exact same watch. It’s not my style, so I’ll be trading it. I also go a necklace that I love, some earrings, and a headband. I love this box and the variety that it brings to my accessories.

Does anyone know of any coupon codes on this box? Thinking of signing up, yet hoping for a great code before I do.

I follow them on Facebook, and occasionally on my mobile a post will pop up with $10 or 30% off. I always wait until that happens to buy a box.

Keep an eye out for their FaceBook promos. They had one last week for 50% off! think it’s gone now all I see is a 10% off one.

It was one of the ads the shows up in my feed. It worked on non subscriptions too so I decided to pull the trigger and tried all 3 (not the active wear it was sold out). For subs it would have been $18/box but I went non sub and paid $20/box so I wouldn’t have to remember to cancel. Half price was all the incentive I needed to finally try them out.

I never subscribed but I went all the way through the quiz once and added the sub to my cart, then didn’t complete checkout. A little while later (don’t remember if it was hours or a few days), they sent me a coupon for maybe 20% off the first box? I think that works for all of the Wantable subscriptions (well, maybe not fitness, but the rest of them).

Thank you, I remember doing the same thing, yet I did not get a coupon, maybe I’ll email them.

I got my first one this month. I got a headband of hope too. Mine was a little blue tiny headband. It didn’t fit in with the box at all. my was retail $10.00 but I liked the idea, so didn’t mind. It will be a back up headband. I liked all my items. My watch is awesome. valued at $22.00. That was my highest priced item. I was happy with my box over all. I think the only thing I was not a huge fan of was the headband. Would have liked one like yours… but it was a hit because of the cause. My retail price for the box was only $64.00. I know some times the ones that get sent out for review are higher in value…. So, even though my box is not nearly as high in value as yours. I loved it. 🙂
