Awesome Pack Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Box

Awesome Pack is brand new subscription box that focuses on board games and other family fun activities. They offer a Family Pack if you need items that would work for young and older kids, or a Big Kid Pack for older kids and adults. (This review is of the Big Kid Pack).

They also offer customization and allow you to let them know what board games you already have so you don't get repeats.

Awesome Pack Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Spiderman

That baby Olaf is adorable!

Awesome Pack Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Captain

Hero Clix Captain America Figure - Value $4

Awesome Pack Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Simpsons

Simpsons 25 Greatest Guest Stars Series 2 Collectible Miniature Figure - Value $5

We just went to Simpsons World at Universal Studios a few months ago (it was awesome), and I thought we got all the Simpsons merchandise we could possibly want, but apparently not! This is already up on my husband's desk!

Awesome Pack Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Loot

Loot Card Game - Value $9.50

After reading the reviews on Amazon, I'm excited to play this game with friends over the holiday break! It works great for kids 10 and up, but works just for adults too. From what I learned, the instructions for gameplay are simple enough to start quickly, and the game involves strategy and math.

Awesome Pack Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Smash Up

Paul Peterson Smash Up - Retail Value $30 (On Amazon for $19)

This is another well-reviewed game on Amazon. It is designed for kids 13 and up, and is suitable just for adults too.

Verdict: I think this is a really well-curated box, and after seeing all the amazing reviews of the two games on Amazon, it's clear they are making sure to only send out quality games. The value of this box is about $42 (that's counting the sale prices on Amazon). The price of the box is $44.99, so it's a little under, but I think this box is more about fun and discovering new awesome games, than necessarily getting a high value compared to what you paid.

I would recommend it for a family with kids, or just adults since they customize the boxes! What do you think of Awesome Pack?

I got a box too, and had some of the best customer service I’ve ever gotten from a subscription box! They accidentally sent to my billing and not my shipping (not a huge deal, as it’s my parent’s house), but actively stayed in communication with me and tried to get it switched. They even promised me something extra in next month’s box for the trouble.

Also, I told them that I have a dog and got the added something for dogs, and it turned out to be my dog’s new favorite toy!

I may try this box in January. The winters seem to last forever here. We love playing games.

Liz, do you have any idea where I could find the baby Olaf mashem? I can’t find him anywhere!

Smash Up is an awesome game with lots of replayability. There are a few expansion packs that you NEED to pick up. Robots and aliens for the win!

Yay! I’ll probably be swapping my Heroclix and my Mash’Ems. Loved the rest of my box, though, which was the same as yours!

We got the family pack. My daughter is seven, and we got Frozen-themed Spuzzle, a Canadian game. I’d never heard of it before, but it’s really fun, and doesn’t last that long, so we can play two or three times in a row. Overall, I really like the box!
