CAUSEBOX is a brand new subscription box from Sevenly that features brands and items dedicated to doing good all over the world. That means ethically sourced items, fair trade labor, etc. And as a subscriber you also get to select which charity you would like $7 of the purchase price of your box to go to!

The Cost: $54.95 a quarter. ($49.95 a quarter if you pay for a year upfront).

The Products: In each box, you will receive at least $150 worth of products for women from Sevenly’s favorite socially conscious brands. They will also introduce a new, exclusive Sevenly product in each box. Everything inside the box reflects their belief that “People Matter.”

Each box comes with a fold out card detailing the items included. At the bottom of the card they also list: $7 donated, one meal provided, dozens of women employed & empowered. (They know how to make me feel good about a box before I even unbox it!)

Change for Change Jar - Value $18

The message behind this jar is pretty simple - fill this jar with spare change, and when it is full, "give it to a person or charity that needs it more than you do."

I like the idea a lot, and the Change for Change art on the bottle is nice too.

fashionABLE Alem Scarf - Value $36

I think this scarf is gorgeous. It is very lightweight too, so it should work for all climates. Here's a better look:

Your purchase of a fashionABLE product creates sustainable business in Africa.  We are committed to long-term solutions to fighting poverty, and our main focus is creating opportunities for vulnerable women.  That means that your purchase creates jobs, so that the women are not dependent upon charity, but instead are a vital part of a developing economy.

Freedom Firm is a non-profit organization that seeks to eliminate child prostitution in India. They rescue young girls from brothels, provide effective rehabilitation, and assist with the prosecution of sex trafficking offenders.

Sseko Half Moon Clutch - Value $16

This item is described as a clutch on the info card, but I think size-wise I would describe it as a pouch. (The zipper part measures 7 inches to give you a better sense of size).

I love the black and metallic mix of materials, and will be throwing this in my purse to keep it a little more organized!

I never get too excited about stickers in subscription boxes, but I can see how these fit in with the box.

Sweet Riot is a women-owned company with a commitment to fair trade practices. (Check out their social mission page to learn more). And for every This Bar Saves Lives bar sold, one meal is given to a child in need.

Verdict: I think this is such a wonderful and unique subscription - it's a great way to support causes around the globe and also get a box full of wonderful items. I'm also particularly happy about the focus that so many of the featured companies have on helping and empowering women.

The items themselves are all well-made too. I will wear the necklace, scarf and pouch, so I definitely got my money's worth as well.
