Eco Emi Deluxe Beauty Box Subscription Review – Dec 2014 Box

Eco Emi recently launched a Deluxe Beauty Box in addition to their regular monthly box offering. I had subscribed to the regular Eco Emi box for a while, but ended up canceling since the samples were often very small. As soon as I found out about this deluxe-sized version of their subscription I signed up!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Eco Emi Deluxe Beauty Box Subscription Review – Dec 2014 Mascara

Sante Volume Mascara - Value $16?

Cailyn Just Mineral Eye Polish in Sable - Value $15

I received the Sante brand mascara in my box, but the included card lists the mascara brand as Logona. I've tried the Sante mascara before, and it is OK, but I would have preferred to try the brand that is new to me.

I am really happy about the Cailyn eye shadow though. I've already tried it thanks to my December Ipsy bag, and I love that the application takes all the possible mess out of loose powder eye shadow.

Eco Emi Deluxe Beauty Box Subscription Review – Dec 2014 Seaweed

Shea Radiance Hair Butter - Value $16

The Seaweed Bath Co. Whole Seaweed Detox Bath - Value $12.89

This shea butter hair cream is solid in the container, so you have to dig a little out and warm it in your hands before applying to your hair. I'm not sure it's the best product for my hair type, but I do love the scent after I applied just the tiniest amount.

And this seaweed bath detox looks interesting! It's a pouch made with just organic wild seaweed that you put under running water for a bath - it's supposed to last for 2-4 baths.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $60 - pretty great for the $22 price. I'm happy with the curation of items, but a little curious about why I didn't get the mascara listed on the card.

What do you think of the December Eco Emi Deluxe Beauty Box?

I don’t dig the hair balm (there is so much of it), but the ingredients do make it a pretty agreeable body cream,…

The seaweed bath didn’t cause any trouble in my tub (a few tiny stray pieces of seaweed leaked out of the netting, but nothing major), but to be honest I didn’t feel any better effect over when I use my normal Dead Sea salts.

I didn’t smell an overt seaweed smell, but one of my college jobs was at an herbal extract company where it was established I can’t smell most seaweed varieties.

I got the same box, I like the eye shadow. The rest was okay. The value is wonderful. Yet for a December box, I was expecting more festive scents, items, and a more festive box presentation. Seaweed anything would have been more fun to see in a May, June, July or August box not a December box. I’ve been getting a few eco emi boxes every now and then. Their customer service is excellent. The items are an interesting mix.

Even though my Petit Vour box has a much lower value, I like Petit Vour better. Maybe it is because the presentation is consistent. Not sure what it is.

I’m happy to see a hair product that is designed for my type of hair 🙂 I have long, thick, wavy hair and do not need to add volume to my hair LOL. The hair butter is my favorite product in this month’s box.

I’m hoping to try the detox bath in the next few days. I do not have a whirlpool tub so I am hoping my experience will be more pleasant. I have an eye disease and stay away from most eye products. I did not check the mascara before giving it away. I go back and forth on the eye shadow. My shade is Orchid.

This box is a hit for me. I’m used to not being able to use all items in a box. I’m excited about the shea hair butter which I’ve been using and the detox bath.

I receive both Eco Emi boxes and love them more than any other. I loved the seaweed bath but was concerned about my bathtub since someone else had mentioned needing to clean their tub afterwards. I had no problems though. I love everything else in the box too. The mascara tends to clump more than I still plan to use it so I guess it doesn’t bother me too much.

I tried the seaweed detox bath. It smells like seaweed (duh) but in the worst way. And I couldn’t get it off of my tub. My entire bathroom smelled like a barge for days, it was stuck in my whirl pool pipes and made me so sick from the stench. : / I get the whole benefits of seaweed but man.. it smells so bad.
