I've had a few readers reccomend the Hitha On To Go Quarterly box, so I had to try it out!.
If you aren’t familiar with Hitha, here is her Quarterly mini-bio:
A recovering overpacker and seasoned world traveler, Hitha teaches women how to travel in style with only a carry-on. Each box features must-pack items and a guide to a packing problem area.
This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Subscription Box: Hitha on the Go for Quarterly
The Cost: $50 a box
The Products: Travel and packing essentials.
Ships to: US and Worldwide.
Each Quarterly box comes with a letter from the curator detailing the items included and why they were selected. The theme for this box is about packing clothing.
Kikkerland World Map Travel Sized Laundry Bag - Value $6
Mane Message Hair Ties - Value $7
This travel laundry bag is pretty self-explanatory, and a good addition to the box. It's going in my carryon now so I don't forget it later!
Hitha included these hair ties in the bag for two uses: 1. Hair, and 2. keeping your clothing rolls from coming undone. I never would have thought of that!
Miracle Fold Clothing Folder (Junior Size) - Retail Value $35 (On Amazon for $24)
This tool is so simple yet amazing. (I remember using something similar to fold clothes when I worked at Macy's in college, and I loved it). This being the junior size some of my shirts are a little long for it, but it still works, and I guess you want them to be folded into smaller squares for travel anyway!
The Laundress Fabric Fresh in Classic (2 oz) - Value $8
The Laundress Stain Solution Packet in Unscented - Value $1
In her letter, Hitha stressed that one of her best tips for packing is to wear each item of clothing twice on your trip. Both of these items then are a travel must to make sure your clothing still smells and looks good for the second wear!
This box also came with digital content emailed to subscribers. Each subscriber received Hitha's Clothing Packing Guide ($18 Value), free. I didn't know what to expect with the packing guide, but it is very well-done and extremely thorough!
Verdict: The value of this box is about $64 (that's counting the Amazon price for the folding board - not the retail price). I was very impressed with the letter from this box - you could really tell thought went into every piece she selected, and that Hitha is indeed the packing expert! Based on this one box so far, I'd say this isn't a high-value subscription, but I would highly recommend this box if you are looking for a quarterly box with travel essentials.
