Hitha On The Go Quarterly Subscription Box Review #HGQ03 Box

I've had a few readers reccomend the Hitha On To Go Quarterly box, so I had to try it out!.

If you aren’t familiar with Hitha, here is her Quarterly mini-bio:

A recovering overpacker and seasoned world traveler, Hitha teaches women how to travel in style with only a carry-on. Each box features must-pack items and a guide to a packing problem area.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Hitha On The Go Quarterly Subscription Box Review #HGQ03 Items

The Subscription Box: Hitha on the Go for Quarterly

The Cost: $50 a box

The Products: Travel and packing essentials.

Ships to: US and Worldwide.

Hitha On The Go Quarterly Subscription Box Review #HGQ03 Letter

Each Quarterly box comes with a letter from the curator detailing the items included and why they were selected. The theme for this box is about packing clothing.

Hitha On The Go Quarterly Subscription Box Review #HGQ03 Hair Ties

Kikkerland World Map Travel Sized Laundry Bag - Value $6

Mane Message Hair Ties - Value $7

This travel laundry bag is pretty self-explanatory, and a good addition to the box. It's going in my carryon now so I don't forget it later!

Hitha included these hair ties in the bag for two uses: 1. Hair, and 2. keeping your clothing rolls from coming undone. I never would have thought of that!

Hitha On The Go Quarterly Subscription Box Review #HGQ03 Fold

Miracle Fold Clothing Folder (Junior Size) - Retail Value $35 (On Amazon for $24)

This tool is so simple yet amazing. (I remember using something similar to fold clothes when I worked at Macy's in college, and I loved it). This being the junior size some of my shirts are a little long for it, but it still works, and I guess you want them to be folded into smaller squares for travel anyway!

Hitha On The Go Quarterly Subscription Box Review #HGQ03 Stain

The Laundress Fabric Fresh in Classic (2 oz) - Value $8

The Laundress Stain Solution Packet in Unscented - Value $1

In her letter, Hitha stressed that one of her best tips for packing is to wear each item of clothing twice on your trip. Both of these items then are a travel must to make sure your clothing still smells and looks good for the second wear!

Hitha On The Go Quarterly Subscription Box Review #HGQ03 Coupon

This box also came with digital content emailed to subscribers. Each subscriber received Hitha's Clothing Packing Guide ($18 Value), free. I didn't know what to expect with the packing guide, but it is very well-done and extremely thorough!

Verdict: The value of this box is about $64 (that's counting the Amazon price for the folding board - not the retail price). I was very impressed with the letter from this box - you could really tell thought went into every piece she selected, and that Hitha is indeed the packing expert! Based on this one box so far, I'd say this isn't a high-value subscription, but I would highly recommend this box if you are looking for a quarterly box with travel essentials.

I just subscribed. Next box ships out in Feb. I’m excited to get it. This seems very practical and usable to me. Even though I wish the value was higher. I find the items in the box interesting and items I would normally purchase anyhow. I’m trying to stop getting beauty and makeup boxes in the new year. So this fits in very well with my my new year plan.

Keep an eye out on the Best of Quarterly or just contact quarterly and ask. I returned my box without opening it (thankfully quarterly has a very liberal return policy) when I learned what the contents would be. I loved her 2nd box, but just didn’t need/want this stuff. We have the F1 go clean laundry bags and a regular size MiracleFold, and besides, I would never take the folder on a trip. For that matter, I have a travel size bottle of Febreeze, Tide pens, and hair ties… So it just wasn’t worth it for me.

I think this looks like a great box! I wish I had ordered it as a gift for my parents who travel all of the time!

I got this box (my first box from her). I was happy with the box except for the stain solution. That packet is too small for a single stain (or most of them anyway) and doesn’t re-seal so very wasteful. Poor packaging of this product.

I use the adult size shirt folder for work, and the trick is to fold up the bottom of the shirt even with the bottom of the folder first, then the sides, then in half. There are video tutorials online. 😛 Such a time saver. 🙂
