Fabletics Review & $25 Off Coupon – January 2015 Box

Fabletics is a monthly workout clothing subscription – each month they release a new collection and you can pick out any outfit you like (including from previous months). Or you can skip that month.

This subscription has been around for about a year now, and it’s one of my all-time favorites. The value and the quality of the clothing are great!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Fabletics Review & $25 Off Coupon – January 2015 Outfit

The Products: Workout clothing and accessories.

Check out all my Fabletics Reviews and the Fitness Subscription Box list too!

Outfit

This month I decided to go with the Untamed Outfit in with the purple/black jacket for $79.95. (And I also added on the Kemi Bra for $19.95)

Fabletics Review & $25 Off Coupon – January 2015 Jacket

Toronto Jacket in Purple/Black - Value $74.95

I have a lot of tops/pants/jackets from Fabletics in all black, so I thought it was time to mix it up and get the purple version of this jacket. (I' probably won't pair it with the purple pants below though!)

It is really well-constructed and flattering. The sleeves are a little on the long side, but they have the thumbholes, so I think they are supposed to be that length.

Fabletics Review & $25 Off Coupon – January 2015 Legging

Salar Legging in Purple Stripe - Value $79.95

The Salar Legging is my favorite pant Fabletics makes. Pretty much every time they introduce a new pattern I have to buy it!

Fabletics Review & $25 Off Coupon – January 2015 Bra

Kemi Bra - Value $29.95

Fabletics launched some new bra styles this month, and I went with the Kemi bra which has a layered strap look. It's very comfortable, but it definitely is only suitable for low-impact workouts.

Fabletics Review & $25 Off Coupon – January 2015 Toms

And this month's box also came with a Tom's Natural Deodorant sample!

Verdict: I'm very happy with my new Fabletics clothing - and I really like pretty much all the new clothing and styles they introduced for January - it was difficult to limit myself to just these pieces!

What did you pick from Fabletics this month? Any recommendations?

I really liked the selections for this month! I’ve got pics up as well but I chose items a la carte and got a neon top, and the animal print shorts and salar pants. I also chose a wrap top which is a little unwieldy and which I’m considering sending back. Did anyone else get the Austin top and if so, have you figured out how to actually wrap it in a way that looks as attractive as it does in the site photo? lol

I find canceling with any of their subsidiary owned brands to be a headache. I understand the idea of a sales pitch/upsale to customers but when I straight up say, “Nothing you say or do is going to change my mind. I want it canceled up front.” You just cancel it. You don’t attempt to get me to change my mind because it just irritates a customer and makes it certain they’ll never return.

As far as quality- I don’t think it’s as good as Athleta or Zella but it’s not awful.

I really wish there was a workout clothes/accessories box at a lower price point. I had high hopes when the Wantable Fitness box was first mentioned, but I don’t like that sales model. Fabletics seems nice but is too pricey for me.

Speaking of lower priced brands, I hit on something good. Kmart actually has a workout line from Jillian Michaels called Impact. She has some really cute pieces and right now it’s 40% off. So far I’ve been really impressed!

Super cute outfit, Liz! Love that bra but that’s too bad it’s only for low impact workouts. :-/
I can’t justify the cost of fabletics at the full price. I really only signed up for the intro deal. Now everytime I try to cancel they give me free points. LOL

I was reading a lot of comments that note that this sub has been really hard to cancel; that you get put on hold/disconnected, that you are forced to listen to someone try and talk you out of it endlessly, etc. Now reading your comment makes me wonder…did they give you the run around when you tried to cancel, as well? (As opposed to just skipping a month.) Insight would be great!

I canceled and I got through right away, but they were super annoying about trying to talk me into staying, and making me feel kinda subtly guilty about it. I just told them that the workout gear is great, but I just wanted to cancel over and over until they finally cancelled it. It was annoying (and awkward) but I got it done.

Yeah, I need sports bras that work for high-impact workouts. I’m a big fan of BeachBody programs and you are doing a lot of jumping with most of those. (Although, my bra size isn’t all that big so I can usually get by with styles that wouldn’t work for C or D cups or larger.)

I never signed up for this one, though. I also can’t justify the cost.

i got the exact same outfit and also chose the purple jacket over the black. this was my first time getting the salar leggings and i LOVE them. the jacket was great too for layering and running in 13 degree weather. i didn’t get a deodorant sample though?

Hi! I’m very curious about this subscription but not quite sure if I should subscribe or not. I usually buy lululemon and I’m a huge fan of that brand and their quality, I work at home and it is my 7 day a week uniform. Is someone here a huge lululemon fan and subscriber to fabletics? What’s your opinion or thoughts?

I’m a Lululemon addict, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the items from Fabletics. For bottoms, though, the fit really depends on the print/fabric. I’ve found the solid Salar leggings to be the best for fit and quality. Nice weight (not too thin) and so soft. Some of the printed ones are more compressive and may be a bit snug in the waist. However, Lulu can be the same way–hit or miss, depending on the fabric. Many of the Fabletics tops are great options, especially the to & from items. For the price (compare to Lulu), Fabletics is worth it. Similar to Lulu, you have to be pretty good about checking out the new releases on the first day they come out since sizes sell out quickly for popular new styles (1st of each month), you can easily skip if you don’t see anything and you won’t be charged.

Fabletics pants are not as comfortable as others and always fall down on me (while feeling so tight that they take a minute to get into). They are less stretchy and more muffin-top-causing than my other pants. My Old Navy and Nike compression tights don’t fall down, and are more comfortable for long-term wear.

Oh man, I could not disagree more! I love their pants, particularly for the price, you really can’t beat them. So soft, they hold up well in the wash (I had a black pair with subtle black snakeskin pattern, the pattern washed off, but I have a lovely pair of black ones now), and they fit great, just enough squeeze and they don’t give me muffin top at all!

I’ve been a subscriber for over a year and I think their quality has gone WAY WAY down. My best-made pants and tops were those I got the first few months of my subscription. Every outfit I get now seems very thin and cheaply made. I plan on cancelling because I can get the same quality items at Academy for less money.

I wasn’t impressed with the pants from Fabletics. The fit was weird on me vs. Lululemon or Athleta that sit a bit higher on my waist. The fabletics give me a muffin top….the top I received shrank something awful, from a size large to almost a size small! It’s soft cotton though & the style is cute. I subscribed to Ellie for a few months & liked their clothes a little better than Fabletics. Hope that helps. 🙂
