Awesome Pack Subscription Box Review September 2015 - box

Awesome Pack
3.7 overall rating

Awesome Pack is a newish subscription box that's all about family fun time! They send board games, toys, and activities to encourage quality time together. I love the concept!

They offer a Family Pack if you need items that would work for young and older kids, or a Big Kid Pack for older kids and adults. (This review is of the Family Pack).

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Awesome Pack Subscription Box Review September 2015 - letter

When I signed my family up for this subscription, Awesome Pack sent me a pretty extensive quiz about what games my family likes (and what we already have to avoid duplicates). It also asked about the ages of the children and other general interest questions. It's pretty highly customized! I like that!

Awesome Pack Subscription Box Review September 2015 - extras

As always, they included a fun family activity booklet. In addition, they always send a little piece of Awesome Pack merch, such as a pen or bookmark. This month it's a magnet.

Hey, That's My Fish! - Value $14.99 at Target

This looks like a really fun family game, and I like that it's more compact than some of our other board games. I like to take games with us when we go out to eat sometimes so that we can keep the kids busy while we wait.

Johnny Test Shocking Figure - Value $17.99 at Walmart

My sons are big fans of Johnny Test, so they will love this, I'm sure. If you press his nose, you get a shock! There are other ways to work the shock feature also. I'm happy that the batteries are included!

Sonic the Hedgehog Buildable Mystery Figures - Value $19.95 each

Inside these little eggs are the pieces of two characters from Sonic the Hedgehog (video games, cartoons, etc.). But which ones? It's a mystery! The kids will definitely enjoy these little guys. I also like when they include things that are a little hard to find.

Angry Birds Grab & Go - Value $5.99 each

My sons absolutely LOVE Angry Birds! I actually think I'm going to hold on to these sticker / activity books until the next time we're on a trip. I think they would be great for keeping the kids busy on the road.

The Verdict: We have really been enjoying Awesome Pack so far! It has facilitated lots of fun family time for us. The value of this month's package was just a little under $85, which is fabulous for a $45 box! Awesome Pack also does a great job of picking toys and games that they know my sons will enjoy.

I say this every time, but I just love Awesome Pack! We have it customized that the board game be for adults and the rest for the kids (Plus the dog add-on). This month the game for my husband was less expensive (a cool Walking Dead game), so they sent a game for the kids as well. We all get excited when we see the Awesome back box 🙂
