MyBody Youth Overnight Anti-Aging Night Repair Cream – Retail Value $110

The formula of this night-cream is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, sulfates and FD&C dyes. It’s also more light-weight than I was expecting for a night cream – it absorbed super quickly too. It does have added fragrance, but the scent is clean enough that it doesn’t bother me.

I actually received this in my June Beauty DNA box. But that was a different subscription. (I ended that subscription and started a new one when they had a Gilt City deal last month). So - no complaints about a duplicate item because I am technically two different customers, and I really liked this night cream, so I'm thrilled to have another one! And I love the dispenser too:

Verdict: BeautyDNA has been doing a great job of matching me with brands and products that fit my preferences, and I've been really impressed with the value too. This box only cost me a little over $10 thanks to the Gilt City deal, but I'd be happy with it at the regular $25 price too. (FYI - the Gilt City deal is no longer available, but make sure to sign up for Beauty DNA coupon alerts at the bottom of this post if you want to get an email the next time there is a Beauty DNA discount offer!)

I just got my December beauty dna box and its a SINGLE ( 1 ) – Ling sparlking makeover mask?? They usually come 4 in a box for $80 and I got just one single mask, this to me is NOT a full size item. Anyone have this experience? I have emailed and tried to call but they just wanted me to leave a message. Very disappointing

The 4 month deal is still available on Gilt City, I just bought a 2nd one. My first match was the exact same as Liz. $ 110.00 WOW and a perfect match for me. I referred myself on gilt city, got $25 off therefore $8.50 per box WOW yes. Just had to buy a second 4 month deal for $34.00 and ill start it in February so Ill 8 months total for $68.00 (a $132 savings from their reg. monthly price) . AWESOME! Thanks Liz!

I received a Dermaquest C Infusion Serum, retails for $88. I saw it on Amazon for $56 but I’ll take it with a grain of salt, it could be old or something. It’s a perfect match for me, just not familiar with the brand.
I got my 3 month sub on Gilt City but this sub is worth every penny to me so I’ll definitely be keeping this sub!

I signed up with both Gilt and Groupon vouchers and I have to say I have been extremely happy with my selections so far. I’ve received products from Naturpathica, Epicuren, Skinceuticals and Dr. Brandt. I’ve had a few items retailing in the $35-55 range, but also stuff up in the $70-80 range, and every single month has come with a extra product…full size anti-aging hand cream, bottle of keratin hair treatment, and this month a 4 oz. bottle of Philosophy Hope in a Jar body cream. All nice stuff that has been fun to try, no crummy out of date products or mini samples. I don’t feel like the groupon vouchers have ruined the service at all, I think how you fill out the beauty survey makes all of the difference in the world.

I signed up for the Gilt deal for this sub as well and got this exact product. Was impressed with the high value and really like this night creme. I wouldn’t spend that much to buy it but for the $10 I am very happy. I setup my profile to exclude body wash or hair care products so will see how the remaining months go.

I’ve received 4 products now from Beauty DNA. Each of them had a retail value of $50-80 but I could find them all on-line for $32-38. Overall, however, I’ve been happy with the quality of the products that they have sent me so I’m ok at least for now.

Just went through a bunch of past reviews and I was wrong – Liz has received some 50.00 products too.

Laura

Mine have been in the range of about 45.00 – 60.00. Liz always seems to get at least a 70.00 – 110.00 product. Glad I didn’t 25.00 for each month. I’m very disappointed in this sub.

I’m not a blogger and bought the same Gilt City deal. All 3 of mine so far this subscription have been valued over $110. It really depends on your preferences, not on blogger special treatment as happens with other subs. If you don’t eliminate categories known to involve lower price point items (body wash, body lotion, hair care) and stick with skin care/anti-aging/teeth whitening then you’ll end up with higher value products. I’ve subbed 3 different times now, each for 3 months and have never received anything less than $110.

Mona

Does anyone know when we have to cancel the three month sub? Before or after the second box? Thanks!

Oddly enough I got the right product, but the wrong customization card, with someone else’s name and address on it. I emailed to let them know, but maybe since it ended up being the right product they won’t do anything. It sort of blew the whole “perfectly matched” experience. It’s epicurean Eye Alive serum, and seems fine so far.

Laura

I received someone else’ info card – I emailed BD about it and how I didn’t want the product that came with the other customers card but they just said it was still meant to be my product so that was it.

Tamara

Omg, I got the exact same brand!

I forget the name of the product, but it looks like it’s supposed to be for skin flushing. My skin tends to be ruddy, so I put down redness as a concern. But not flushing! I’m going to have to read up on the product to see if it’s appropriate for me.

Heather

Was it the Beat the Rush anti-redness treatment? I received that in my first box and it doesn’t really do anything for my redness (small blotchy area on my cheek), but is a decent moisturizer. I was kind of disappointed that while it retails for $85, Amazon sells it for $19. Also never heard of MyBody before.

I got the Babor as well. I didn’t use it yet for the same reason that I have to open a vial and so I want to try at night or with someone. I haven’t loved the items but they have not been awful. I signed up a year earlier with no code and got brands I had heard of like Coola. Now I have to look up the brands which is good to explore but also worrisome.

OMG! You received something other than Luminier and Hydroxatone!!! I was stupid enough to buy the groupon for three months of BeautyDNA in addition to my normal sub. Ugh!!! All I’ve received are these two horrible products!!! When I tell them about all of the lawsuits and allegations made about these and their business practices they say they’ll send me out a new product…same thing…really!!! Ugh!!! I’m so beyond frustrated with them!!! They have sent me the same jar of Luminier 3 times!!! All on the same sub too!!! It’s insane!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth

Got Luminier, then the next month a runny slop of a mess SPF and then Babor (which only totaled to $30). See that many people have been matched with inexpensive Babor, Luminier and Hydrox…Most of my boxes have been excellent service, well priced, good matches, but since Groupon, they have been sending out junk! Groupon sent then downhill. Maybe they got overwhelmed with all of the new subscribers and cut down on the quality of the stuff they were sending out? Cancelled and not resubbing anytime soon. Seriously, they’ve went down hill since Groupon, sending bad matches and the price value dropped like a rock.

Heather

Oh my goodness. I have had the EXACT problem. I signed up with a voucher and my first shipment was Luminique, which is an infomercial brand with a horrible reputation and plenty of lawsuits filed against it. When I wrote to BeautyDNA, they sent me a replacement, a Dr. Brandt product, which was great.

This month was my second month. I got the SAME Luminique product I complained about the first time. I wrote a polite email to BeautyDNA and have not gotten a response at all. I really regret signing up and have been so disappointed with this sub.

My friend got the two month giltcity sub and her first product was Skinceuticals C E Ferulic. It’s really hit or miss. I wish they’d get rid of the spammy infomercial crap.

I have received Epicuren Pro Collagen & Serum Amplifier ($94 on their website, on sale for $58 on Amazon) and RueLaLa bonus Philosophy Hope in a Jar Body Lotion (forgot the size, but larger than typical travel size). I didn’t know this body lotion was expensive, but has great reviews. I have never tried anything from Epicuren. Any thoughts?

Reply ButtonReply

Kimberly

I’m a huuuuge fan of Epicuren! I discovered them a few years ago when I stayed at a resort spa. They used Epicuren products in a body scrub and massage I had, and I loved the products so much that I had to have them! I’ve tried a number of their body products, but nothing for the face yet, so I can’t speak for those. Epicuren products are typically only sold through their own site or through trusted partner spas. I’ve seen lots of super-cheap products on Amazon/eBay, but we’ve all heard horror stories about knock-offs and expired products (not sure if that’s the case here, but something to keep in mind!). While I love my scrub, mist, and body wash, my favorite is the body lotion – it is seriously the most moisturizing thing I’ve ever tired and it’s never greasy. And it comes in lots of lovely scents! (All the body products smell heavenly.) I’m so jealous that you received this brand in your box – I had this sub for a while hoping to get something from them, but never lucked out. Hope you enjoy your serum and that you share with the rest of us your impressions!

Kimberly, thank you for your comment! I was thinking of gifting this to my mom whom I will see in a couple of weeks. I will ask her to let me try for a few times. The body care line sounds wonderful and luxurious. I will look into this! I will report back about the serum 🙂

Kay

I spoke too fast… This was my October box and I am still waiting for my Nov. box to be shipped, lol.

I received a free I offer to try beauty dna and was matched with this set of anti age serems from a brand called babor. I had never heard kf them before but they dont look to bad, they have natural ingredients and do not test on animals. Its wad worth about $35 i think, which i would have been disappointed of i had purchased it but since its free i am happy! The set comes with 7 little glass vials. My only complaint is that once u open a vial u cant put the top back on. Anyone else get this?

Cindy

My second month I got a gorgeous Babor body cream. I loved using it; it was so luxurious. Hope you enjoy the face products.

I got a free offer for Beauty DNA and took advantage of it this month. The product I got was a $110 anti-aging cream. I like it well enough and I could consider subscribing if I didn’t already have so many products to go through.

Cindy

How did you get a free offer. I’d sure like that!

Reply ButtonReply

nana

I just got it as an e-mail from BeautyBar.com. I got in their mailing list when I signed up for Allure early in the year. Why they did this completely beats me.

Mary

My November item was a leave in hair conditioner. Retail price of $24.50! And I paid $25 for the box. Super crazy. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth

Yes, they sent me a Babor product only worth $30 at full value and saw it online for less than $20.

Reply ButtonReply

Lindsay

I would contact them. I feel like you should have gotten a bonus item for the low retail value…

Carol

I received the box yesterday but it’s packed with someone else’s Match. The card said Maureen, Tx. We’ll see how well their customer service handle these things.

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

I haven’t received a response yet, but I see the product as the one matched for me too in my acct.

Kay

If you log into your account, you can see what product you were supposed to receive. Also if you click pink “BR” icon near the product image, it will download a PDF file of your Skin Report, so I guess you can find out.

Reply ButtonReply

Ally

I had that happen to me recently too. Turns out that person and I were getting the same products and the people at their distribution/packing warehouse screwed up which Skin Report they put inside. They apologized sent me a pdf of my proper Skin Report. The product (blanking on the name right now) is a lightweight cream that reduces hyperpigmentation and I’m really happy with it so far.

surprised to hear that they are still having this problem… the same very thing happened to me twice last year and the early part of this year…. At one time this was my very favorite sub but now each month I go through a mental battle of “whether to keep or not”. I still like it even though there have only been a few times that I’ve gotten a high priced “WOW” product but here’s my situation. I can never seem to stick with one product long enough to see if it actually works for me so that means that I haven’t emptied anything yet. Since I’ve been a member from the very first month that BeautyDNA started, I am experiencing serious product overload. From the beginning, I wanted badly was to have a wall shelf and display all of my products from them in my bedroom so I can easily keep track of what I actually have but it kept getting put on the bottom of my to-do list so everything just gets pitched into a very large wooden basket which is in a corner that’s not the easiest to get to. My poor husband, between all my scrapbook stuff, my makeup and my skincare… he only has one tiny area on his side of our bedroom that I haven’t taken over yet and he even has to share that wth the dog, lol!!!

Megan

I had the same issue two months ago, emailed their CS (they responded within a business day), and it turns out that the box I received was mine, even though it had someone else’s information in it. CS said me and the girl had the same match and the info sheets must have been mixed up. I wonder if they’ll say the same to you.

Cindy

I have had great experiences with their customer service. Hope you do as well.
