I finally received my box today. the torture of waiting 13 days in transit time almost killed me. i was a bit skeptical when i saw the full spoilers, but now the box is in my hands i LOVE everything. even the items i don’t love (nail polish set) it is boxed so beautifully that it will make a very nice gift for the holidays. while i thought the sunglasses were more of a summer theme – they are gorgeous, very sturdy, well made and fit me beautifully! the tray is heavy and so well made – the tray alone is worth the price of the box. this is a winner!!!! i loved this box.

Did anyone get the pink clock? I got orange and would like to trade.

So disappointed! I didn’t love the NM box last year, but 2013 got rave reviews so I tried again. 2nd year in a row of “meh” on a $250 box…there will not be a 3rd.

Hi Kate,
I’d be interested in swapping or buying your clock… And maybe your tray! Please shoot me a message. Blessedmommi at hotmail!
Hope you’re having a fantastic Sunday 🙂

Rosemary

Kate are you considering selling all or part of your box?

Those items look nice enough, but I really am glad I did not spend $250 on that box. It just does not look worth that much money to me, despite the items being that much retail.
It at least looks curated, but at the same time…peanut butter for this time of year? and the Agate clock reads more summer than fall, same with the sunglasses. I feel like it’s off a season.

Oh my!! Mine came in the mail today and I love everything!! Even the chocolates (which I don’t like milk chocolate at all- but these were not super sweet and tasted more like dark to me) were delicious! Love the purples eye shadows and the natural/dramatic look directions!! The only thing I don’t need would be the glasses bc I am ordering new prescription glasses. Let me know if anyone is interested in those. Yippee!!!

Any chance someone (or a few someones) want to split a box? I just really want the necklace, nail polish and candies (I’d be open to the makeup palette too). Maybe someone really loves the clock, tray and or sunglasses and we could work something out. 🙂 (email is rubyjuls at gmail)

I keep looking at this and thinking ‘Wow, what a fantastic LE box! I wish I had gotten it!’ And then I remember, no, it’s not a $100 LE box. This was $250. Nope.

Marna

That’s how I feel for $100 I would grab it but I don’t feel the $250 coming from it.

I tend to buy this box to mine for Xmas gifts. So- My mom will be getting the tray. It will look perfect somewhere in her bedroom, which is done in shades of gray and silver. A good friend just had a baby, so I am thinking of giving her a box of items- the Kevyn Aucoin palette, the peanut butter chocolates, the pashmina from LLB, and a bath item to help her feel a little more like a woman again- at least for a few minutes. The clock is gorgeous and I am keeping that for myself!! I’ll have to find a place in our living room to display it. It’s too pretty for the bedroom or guest room. Not sure if I’ll keep or swap the nail polish, sunglasses, and necklace. We’ll see how much I like them once my box arrives.

Is there a reason posts offering things up for swap or sale are being deleted? I see several posts for people ISO of items from this box, but when I try to offer the things I don’t want my comment is deleted. I would rather sell to someone who will love the items, but if there is a policy against this it should go both ways. That being said, I won’t be using my sunglasses, make up palette or clock. Please let me know if you’d like to purchase them!

Never mind, it seems to be matter of the way the comments are being sorted. It depends on how I access the site/post if I can see older comments. Hm.

I am really happy I got this box but I am never going to need to buy sunglasses again. This will be my second pair from popsugar and I am getting a pair in the Luxe Provence box that ships December 1st.

I didn’t have the $250 to splurge, but this looks like quite a nice box to me! The necklace and clock are pretty, I love peanut butter, and have always wanted to try Kevyn Aucoin cosmetics. I hope all who bought it enjoy the products! 🙂

Really glad I kept my $250.00.

LOL must be a Caroline thing 🙂 I would not have been upset/disappointed just prefer to get the Holiday box. I promised I’d only get one or the other. Now…. here’s hoping Holiday box is awesome!

I got the last LE box and loved it, and honestly that one was far better than this hodgepodge. Half of this doesn’t scream luxury to me, just high retail values on most items. The necklace is boring and only fits some people’s style, the tray you can buy a very near identical style at any Target, a lot of people are allergic to peanuts myself included…so bad idea for that to be the fancy food item. I have so much nail polish and again polish color is so specific to people’s likes. The clock is nice but again, half the people will be excited and half will hate it. Also, the sunglasses…we just got an awesome pair this summer…this is a Holiday box! What were they thinking??? Book meh cheaper elsewhere I’m sure. The shadow, again Sephora has amazing sets suited specifically to what you like especially this time of year!! The November shadows from Tarte are lovely. So glad I didn’t waste $250!

Yeah, this box looks like they just threw something together, happy I kept my cash too! I just got my first box (October) from PSMH, and it is just ok, I cancelled my subscription, but will probably purchase the holiday box…..it just depends!

Just opened mine… Not digging the boring sunglasses and the neutral palette… Those will be traded. The tray is absolutely beautiful and very well made. I think this is the nicest home accessory I’ve received in a sub box. The clock is pretty too. The Bon bons probably won’t last until tomorrow. The nail polish I was expecting to trade but the colors are really interesting so I’m going to keep them. The necklace is more delicate than it looked in the previews and I like it.

I am in love with that clock! that tassel is gorgeous too! I really wish I could afford this~ hoping that I can come up with the $100 holiday box for her!

My word… I LOVE THIS CLOCK SO MUCH THERE ARE NO WORDS. I’m not typically a natural rock sort of girl except I do like it in jewelry. This clock is absolutely beautiful. I wish I could post my photo after I placed it on my wood table in my living room. And, I have so much jewelry I did not expect I’d wish to keep the necklace based on the spoiler photos. It is very very pretty. Feminine and dainty yet substantial with the most unique security clasp. Love it! Beautiful tray… so exquisite. The only items I can’t use are the sunglasses and the makeup, not because they aren’t nice, but because I have far too many.

OMG the clock is GORGEOUS!!! I saw that it said that colors varied so I was chanting, “Please let me get green. Please let me get green!” I got green! A sage green & black one. It goes so well with the tray & my decor! And that tray. The pictures do not do it justice at all!

Krista

There’s nothing about this that makes me cry that I didn’t get it. I like the clock but the color is sort of outrageous. The tray is nice enough but I’m not sure how much I’d really use it. The peanut butter bon bons would be gone in zero seconds. I like Kevyn’s stuff OK but the nail polish to me is meh and the necklace is not my style. The sunglasses are too similar to the Quay’s we just got from PS recently.

Hey Liz! I sent you MUCH better pictures, several hours ago, so you could swap those out. Sorry again, about the quality. Had to take super quick pics in between Mama Taxi duties..?

I am SO SICK of brown eyeshadow!! With this, the Fall LE box, this month’s Tarte eyeshadow, and last summer’s Two Faced eyeshadow, I have enough brown shades to last me a lifetime. Why can’t they include a palette that has some nice, toned down olive/blue/gray/violet colors just for once? Now that would be much more seasonally appropriate.

AmyM

I didn’t get this because I bought last year’s and felt like I got burned. This is far superior, but nothing I can’t live without. Good on everyone who did pull the trigger. You got some great stuff!

This is my first ‘luxury” box. The closest Neiman Marcus to me is 85 miles away in another state so I rarely get to even peruse their awesomeness. I had a gut feeling to get this box so I did it before I changed my mind. I’ve been on pins & needles since purchasing it, especially since I loathed last year’s box but the 2013 was divine! I figured they were due to put out a great box. With that all being said….

I’ve been redoing my front room for the past few months. I had a list of things I still needed to get to pull it all together. On that list was a nice tray & a standing clock I could put on a table or shelf. Since ordering this box, every single time I’m at Target, TJ Maxx or Homegoods, I keep picking up trays & standing clocks but then my gut says, “Put them back.” So I always do. Imagine my surprise to see both items in this box. hahaha LOVE it. What really blows my mind is that the clock is beyond apropos for me as I am specifically redoing that room for private clients for whom I will be giving tarot, astrology & psychic readings to. The clock, being made of semiprecious agate incredible!!! I wonder if all boxes are getting the azure or if there will be variations of colors? All I know is, I’m blown away by the tray & the clock. 🙂

I am probably going to gift the candy & look book as I only like dark chocolate & I couldn’t tell you the last time I wore a full face of make-up. I have enough make-up from my other subscription boxes & I know a few friends would die for that look book so I’ll be an awesome Santa’s helper this year. Now…. I’m excited to not only receive my box but I’ll definitely order the Special Edition Holiday Collection!!! This site rocks! 🙂

My first luxe box too! And I totally feel you – it feels like this box is perfect for me. I love a good pair of luxury sunglasses, the necklace is just my style, I already know exactly where my tray is going, and I’ve heard great things about the pallet.

The only iffy items for me are the nail polish (i’ll probably keep it anyway) and the clock. Don’t get me wrong I think the clock is beautiful but there’s a 95% chance I’ll be swapping it. Honestly I just don’t know what to do with it in my little apartment (I don’t even own a regular clock…)

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

You can put it on a table or bar (if your apartment has one). It is nice to be able to see the time without having to pull out your phone.

blessedmommi

Hi Kat!!

I would love your clock! Please message me. Blessedmommi at hotmail. I’d love to work something out!! ?

Karen

So happy I skipped this one. Nothing I cannot live without and lots that I’d rather not have.

Stunning!!! Much nicer than last year’s box which seemed too… generic? colorless? I didn’t get this one (still over my $100 limit) but I’d be pretty happy with all but the sunglasses (prescription glasses wearer here)

Cindy

So happy that I am not tempted by this box. I’ve spent too much lately.
