Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon May 2016 - shirt

Warcraft Shirt - Value $10?

Let me start by mentioning that this month is all exclusive - so this aren't available for purchase online at the time of this review. This month's shirt features Warcraft. With the movie coming out this summer, I expect to get a TON of Warcraft items leading up to it. I really like this design, and while I'm not a big Warcraft player, I still think it's a great shirt.

Hulk Q-Fig - Value $15-20?

If you read my Loot Crate reviews, you might know of my ever growing love for Q-Figs and my constant love for vinyl figures! This was a home run for me - not only does The Hulk look awesome here, but I'm loving the "Super Hero Landing" pose.

Here's a closer look out of the box.

This month's packaging was made to be a background to show off The Hulk's super hero landing too!

Dragon Ball Z Shenron Plush - Value $15?

The Dragon Ball Z item was a plush keychain.

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon May 2016 - second lok at plush

Once again, a great design to this!

Thanos Infinity Gauntlet Oven Mitt - Value $10-15?

YES! The final item is this Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet oven mitt. We have received some cool oven mitts from geek boxes in the past - but this takes the cake!

Between the Gauntlet mug from Lootaku this month, and this oven mitt - I have ALL the POWER!

WHAT DO I DO WITH ALL THIS POWER!!!

Verdict: I had a blast with Loot Crate this month. The two Marvel items were absolute show stoppers for me, I was so excited for both. I'm not a big Dragon Ball Z or Warcraft fan - but I thought the items were great for those fan bases as well. Despite not being involved in the Fandom of half the items in the box, it was still a win for me to wield all of the Marvel power!

I’m actually probably going to cancel Loot Crate altogether because April’s box was downright pathetic and May’s box Infinity Gauntlet ovenmit was definitely cool, but the Hulk Q Fig was meh and it’s pretty lame to get a Hulk “Age of Ultron” Q Fig when “Civil War” was coming out the same month.
Makes it hard to believe they aren’t just throwing in clearance items; as the Februaury’s Walking Dead Soap on a Rope had me suspicious, but this month’s Q Fig Hulk now has me convinced the clearance items theory is true.

Re-subbed to LootCrate for the Warcraft tee and am pretty bummed that the print on mine faded away after the first wash (on cold, indoor line dry at that.) I don’t anticipate going beyond the 3 month sub with them at this point.

I was really underwhelmed by this loot crate but I got it on a groupon so it was cheaper.

I paid for next months as well. Hoping it will be better since it is more my thing. I’ll probably pass on most of these items as presents lol.

This was my first crate. I knew the shirt was gonna be warcraft which I was bummed about(like you im not a huge fan of the franchise), but the design is hella awesome! The dragonball is amazing (DBZ is one of my favorite franchises as well as the reason I got this crate). But man, when I saw the Infinity Gauntlet oven mitt, I lost it! I was laughing for a solid 5 minutes about how amazing it is. (Also the hulk figure is super cool! )

LOL, love the glove and mug pics, Eric. Funny. I’m pretty excited for this box. I’ve played WOW for a long time, so I’m really looking forward to all the products we’ll be getting in geek boxes in the run up to the movie. I think this tee is really well-designed, though I feel like the light grey color makes it look cheaper, for some reason. I wish it was darker, with a really nice contrast for the design.

I actually like q-figs a lot more than the Funko Pops, and I’m into the Hulk, so that’s cool. I freaking loved the Deadpool one, and have it in a place of prominence on my desk. I also really like functional geek stuff, since we’re adults, and I needed a new oven mitt, so I’m excited for that. The Dragonball plush is just eh for me, so I’ll probably give it to my nephew, who will enjoy it a lot more.

Are all of the q-Figs with Loot Crate exclusive? I went on their website yesterday and they didn’t have a Marvel section, I’m curious as these are very well made, I would love to get my hands on more (like we need another thing to collect along with the shelves of Funkos…)

Eric

So far from Loot Crate we’ve received a Batman Q-Fig (this one is available for purchase on the Q-Fig site now), Wonder Woman (also available for purchase now), Deadpool and The Hulk – both of which are unavailable. So – I’m not sure if they’re exclusive for an amount of time and then become available?

As a fellow Funko collector – these are awesome, well made/painted, vinyl figures – perfect for your shelf…I may have to buy more now that I see all that are available!

Also – you can still get the Deadpool one in their blowout sale (they’re almost sold out): https://gifts.lootcrate.com/collections/spring-cleaning-warehouse-sale

The batman we have received from lootcrate was the classic variant batman Qfig. You can buy the original batman from the qmx site but not the classic one. And I don’t think the wonder woman one was ever a lootcrate exclusive.

Ellen M

Thanks Eric! We have all of them except Wonder Woman, think I’ll grab her if I can, and I may go grab the X-Force variant Deadpool on sale… 🙂

Haley Faye

Eric, you and Luke would get along so well together! xD
