In addition to their bi-monthly subscription box, Luxor box also does Limited Edition boxes. This review is for their Special Edition Summer Fun Luxor Box. (No longer available).
This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
Everything in this box usually comes in its own packaging so it's great for gifts. Here are the items out of the packaging:
FYI this box is no longer available for sale, but here are the box details:
The Box: Luxor “Summer Fun” Box
The Cost: $200 to the US, $230 to Canada
The Products:With a total box value of OVER $550, the June Special Edition Box features a mix of products with the theme “Summer Fun” in mind! And customers get to select their 1951 Maison Francaise purse:
Each box comes with individual info cards per item, and some of the brands include coupon codes as well.
1951 Maison Francaise Besace – Value $130
1951 Maison Francaise Porte-Monnaie – Value $40
Subscribers were able to pick their color for this box:
The back includes a loop for a belt if you want to wear it that way:
And it comes with the cutest matching coin purse:
It's leather with the signature polka dot lining:
And the best part? This mini purse is big enough to fit my iPhone 6+!
And here it is on the dress form to give you a better sense of where the purse falls:
I really like the deep burgundy color of this leather, and it's the perfect size for a "small" purse for me!
Jules Smiths Watercolor Leopard Sarong – Value $100
This sarong measures 42" by 61" and like all other sarongs, when I see it I think...scarf!
This scarf is 100% viscose, and it the fabric feels so luxe and lightweight. I love it! Here it is styled as a scarf:
On to more Jules Smith items!
Jules Smith Gemma Necklace – Value $75
Delicate gold jewelry is my favorite kind of jewelry, so this is a perfect piece for me, and I like the simple layered look, too. (This piece is made with 14k Gold Plated and Swarovski Crystals.)
Here it is on to give you a better sense of how the layers fall:
Jules Smith Gemma Earrings – Value $65
Another item made with 14k Gold Plated and Swarovski Crystals!
These are pretty delicate and you can remove the lower piece and just wear them as mini studs, too:
I think these pieces work well on their own or together. I like that Luxor box didn't make this set too matchy.
WeWood Xipe BL 7060 Sunglasses – Value $120
Based on the texture of these glasses, I assumed they were made from wood, but they are actually made from sustainable cotton!
I think these are unique but still a classic color and shape - perfect for a summer box!
Arete Performance Towel – Value $60
(Based on the info card, it looks like subscribers will receive various prints)
I love the print of my towel:
Even though Luxor Box referred to this as a "beach towel" I definitely wouldn't use it there. This is a high-performance sweat absorbing towel, that is non-slip for yoga, too.
And here is a picture of our dog Buckles so you can get a sense of the scale of this towel. It is generously sized!
Monoi Tiare Oil – Value $25
This is one of those multi-use oils that can work on hair, skin, cuticle, etc. And it's made with only three ingredients: coconut oil, tiare flower, and vitamin E!
Since it is made from coconut oil, it will likely solidify, so they recommend running the bottle under warm water to liquify it.
I love the tiare flower scent - I think it is a perfect beachy/summery scent!
Verdict: This box has a value of about $615. I think that's great for a $200 box - especially with the quality of all of these brands and items included. I think Luxor Box seems to pay attention to the brands their subscribers love the most and continue to feature them in future boxes.
I also like that they let subscribers pick the color of the spoiler purse item - very smart!
This may be my favorite Limited Edition Luxor Box yet - I'm seriously impressed!
