LitJoy Crate is a monthly literature and book subscription box for all ages! My favorite part about them is that they send new release books as well as book-themed items. They have crates for ages 0-2 (board books), 3-7 (picture books), and 14+ (young adult). You can also get a mixed crate with 0-2 and 3-7 together.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Oogaa Train Silicone Spoon – value: $5.99
This is a cute spoon – it makes it so it’s literal when you use the “here comes the train” trick, and more fun for the baby. Clever, but it’s a little young for my baby – we’re working on having him feed himself.
Shirley J Mugging, Chcocolate Fudge Brownie Cake – value: $1.99
I love mug cakes! So easy and pre-portioned controlled, haha. I’m always happy to get these in sub boxes. I can’t wait to eat this!
Boat Bath Toy from KidO – value: $12?
Looks like KidO has a new/slightly different model of this tug boat selling now, so I estimated the value just a little less. Regardless, it’s cute and goes along perfectly with one of the featured books!
Pull-Back vehicle from Melissa & Doug – value: $7
I think this car comes in a set of 4 different vehicles, so that’s what I linked to. Such a cute little car, though! Gideon doesn’t get to pull it back to make it go, but he loves pushing it and spinning the wheels.
Things That Go Lift-a-Flap Book from Baby Love – value: $7.99
This book has adorable illustration and big, baby-friendly flaps! More pictures below.
Blue Boat – value: $16.99
“When a family on a sailing outing gets stuck in a surprise storm, there’s only one boat tough enough to handle the rocking waves and howling winds: Blue Boat!” This book goes perfectly with the little toy boat and is a cute story.
Here’s a couple pages of the little flap book. So adorable! My son loves this book, too.
Here’s a couple pages of the Blue Boat book. LitJoy has these Favorite Pages that they put these sticky notes on. If you go to their Instagram or follow the hashtag #favoritepagefriday they talk about the different books they feature in all their subs.
Verdict: I really like LitJoy Crate! I think it’s a cute and fun little box, and I think they do a good job making a fun, interactive box that promotes reading. I also love the bookish extras – they seem to always pick cute things. I also especially like that the books are new releases (my preference, and they tend to be more my style). The value comes out to $43.98 – I’m happy, and I look forward to seeing more boxes from this subscription!
