S'well Bottle (9 oz) - Value $25

I feel like you can't go wrong putting a S'well bottle in a box! I love their designs!

LuxilyBoutiqueAugust-010

This one has a "quartz"texturized finish so it is easier to grab, too.

LuxilyBoutiqueAugust-071

And it is the tiny, cute size!

The Handbag Raincoat - Value $28

LuxilyBoutiqueAugust-017

I did not know raincoats for handbags were a thing!

LuxilyBoutiqueAugust-023

This totally makes sense to me for anyone with expensive handbags, but I don't fall into that category.

Here it is on:

LuxilyBoutiqueAugust-066

I will be passing this along to a friend who is the purse expert, though!

The Social Type "Muah" Matches - Value $6

LuxilyBoutiqueAugust-030

Gold foil on pink - this is the fanciest match box! And...

LuxilyBoutiqueAugust-029

The matches coordinate!

I didn't think I'd ever get excited about matches, but these are so cute! Definitely something I want to have on display next to candles!

LuxilyBoutiqueAugust-032

Calliope Hair Set - Value $11

LuxilyBoutiqueAugust-034

LuxilyBoutiqueAugust-033

These are cute and something I always need, too.

Well-Kept Screen Cleaning Towelettes - Value $6

These were included as a "thank you" item for being a customer. I love this touch (all subscribers received this) and these wipes are a very useful item, too. (Just a warning - they have a very strong alcohol scent.)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $70 (not including the bonus gift). I really like that this box feels like a stylish gift and you can tell that a lot of thought and work went into putting it together. I'm not sure I detect the "Sweet Escape" theme, though.

The handbag raincoat isn't an item I will use, so that takes a hit on the value for me personally, but I will gift it.

The S'well bottle, matches, hair ties and well-kept wipes are wins, though! I will continue this subscription for at least a few more boxes to see if it ends up being a good value for me. I wouldn't recommend this box if you are looking for a high-value lifestyle box, but if you are more interested in the curation and style I think it could be a good fit!

I use a plastic grocery or trash bag to keep my purse dry. With that “purse raincoat” the handles and bottom side of your purse could still get wet. Plus my bags are free and easy to find!

The matches are cute but seriously $28 for a purse raincoat? That’s just funny. Try cutting the top off a dry-cleaning bag. It already comes with a hole for the straps. 😉

As someone who works in the city (Chicago) a raincoat for my purse would be really practical. My umbrella keeps me reasonably dry, but my purse always gets wet, which I hate!
