P.S. I Like You By Kasie West - Retail Value $17.99 (On Amazon for $10.58)
Book Summary from Amazon:
Signed, sealed, delivered...
While spacing out in Chemistry class, Lily scribbles some of her favorite song lyrics onto her desk. The next day, she finds that someone has continued the lyrics on the desk, and added a message to her. Intrigue!
Soon, Lily and her anonymous pen pal are exchanging full-on letters -- sharing secrets, recommending bands, and opening up to each other. Lily realizes she's kind of falling for this letter writer. Only who is he? As Lily attempts to unravel the mystery, and juggle school, friends, crushes, and her crazy family, she discovers that matters of the heart can't always be spelled out...
Kasie West brings irresistible wit, warmth, and sparkle to this swoon-worthy story of love showing up when you least expect it.
This book came with a signed bookplate sticker:
And a letter from the author:
I liked this book! If you are in the mood for a light and cute read, this is your book! I think I finished it in less than two days. This isn't a book I'd want to re-read in the future, but I liked it enough to immediately lend it to a friend and download a few other Kasie West books on my kindle!
And we have P.S. I Like You branded coloring pencils, too:
Value $2?
These go perfectly with the coloring book:
Blue Star Adult Coloring Book - Value $11
This is 48-pages of stress-reduction!
There is just something satisfying about coloring in the lines!
Hogwarts is My Home Pin - Value $3?
Chapter Raptor Pin - Value $2? (Or Priceless?)
Both these pins are AMAZING! (And exclusives to OwlCrate.) I love all things Harry Potter, so the "Hogwarts is My Home" pin is an immediate win, but this Chapter Raptor Pin! It is just so silly and cracking me up!
OK, back to more Harry Potter goodness:
Susanne Draws! Harry Potter Print - Value $6?
This print has a glossy finish, is printed on quality paper, and it measures 6 by 9 inches. This print is super cute, and I love that Hermione has more books than Harry and Ron combined!
Decomposition Book - Value $5
This little notebook is made from 100% Post-Consumer-Waste Recycled Pages. Plus it is printed with soy ink and made in the USA!
And the inner illustrations are great, too:
Eleanor and Park Necklace - Value $15?
This is an OwlCrate exclusive piece. I love the little cassette tape charm and I haven't even read this book yet! (Don't worry, it is on my TBR list!)
Here it is on:
And with necklace is an illustrated card about Rainbow Rowell books:
So far, I've only read Fangirl. If you have a favorite you recommend I read next, let me know!
Verdict: This box has a value of about $55 (using the Amazon sale prices and my estimates of some of these exclusive items). I think that's a great value for a book box, especially with the curation and bonus book extras that OwlCrate includes each month.
What do you think of the August OwlCrate box?
