BoxyCharm Subscription Box Review – September 2016

Love Boxycharm but I had to cancel. I was going to wait 1 more month. Just getting to much makeup. I resubscribed to Birchbox just for next month. Then I’m canceling. I only get Ipsy after that for me and my daughter. I was getting 9 subscriptions a month. Now next month its 2 plus the 1 that I pay for for my daughter. I stopped shopping on wish app. But shop miss a has some things I need.

So didn’t need anything in this box 🙁 But glad I got the polish and I like the liner and will use the hair conditioner. The middle shadow looks awesome. Though I have an avalanche of urban decay shadows that I haven’t even been using due to the mountain of eyeshadow pencils I’ve been getting in boxes. Is there a subscriber anonymous group out there?!? Note to self, cancel Sephora play.

Does anyone else think that the copper eyeshadow in the palette was just the prettiest, softest, buttery shadow ever? Seriously like velvet; I had to stop myself from just rubbing it all over my eyes…and face…

This box was a definite win for me. The hair yogurt smells delicious and I can’t wait to try it. The pur lip gloss was in a color that I wouldn’t normally pick for myself, but is just close enough to my comfort zone that I can see myself using it. (And it wasn’t the red, yay!) I got the Butter London polish, which applies quite well, even if the color is a little…boring. The palette is worth it for the copper color alone, but the rest of the colors are decent as well. The only fail for me was the eye liner; too many iffy ingredients for this girl’s sensitive eyes.

I received my box this afternoon. This was an awesome box! I did receive the nail polish, which I am happy with! Eyeliner is not my favorite thing, but it is for other people, so you have to expect it in a beauty sub. I pass these on to my daughters. You can not go wrong with this box.

My first boxycharm arrived this morning and I’m so thrilled with it! I got the nail polish, which I was hoping for and I got the taupe PUR lipstick. I wasn’t sure about it, but it looks great in person. This is exactly what I needed to replace Birchbox. So much better than tiny one use samples.

Got my box. Love this subscription. The eyeshadows are pretty. The nail polish clashes with my olive skin. The lipstick is ok. I wish it was more purple and lighter. Looks more red on me. The hair product is good. I go Thur eyeliner.I m so overloaded on the same colors. I want to see some color and sheet masks and something new. I’m cutting back on some box’s. But I’ll wait it out another month and see how I feel.

I got my box today! I actually got the nail polish! I thought for sure I would get the unwanted brush. Love it all!

Love Boxycharm but I have to start cutting back am getting to much makeup. I like it when they send masks or lotions or body wash sponges.

I got my box today and I Love it ! I got the all the same products except for the lip lure I got it in the shade graceful which I love!

Darn, I got the nail polish ?. I was really hoping for the lipstick. Oh well, over all, I really like this box.

So the pur lip lure is now on sale (more like clearance) at ulta for 8.50 and has mixed reviews. I fell that brings the box value down a bit as it just went on sale.

Do they email out shipping notices when it ships? I am not seeing anything under my account for shipping/status. 🙂 Cant wait for this box. I am about out of a nude color on my naked pallette 2 and hope one of these colors will work :).

This is a good box, but I really don’t need ANOTHER neutral eyeshadow palette. The lip lacquer looks cool, but I would never wear that color. I had to cancel my subscription to this box last month because I was getting overloaded with makeup.

Hey gals, Im new to boxycharm..and have a question, and I would really appreciate if someone replys. When does the new boxes ship out every month, does everyone get their new box around the same time??

Love this subscription. But getting overloaded on makeup. I need to cut back and this is on the list along with Play by Sephora to cancel. Play by Sephora will be my last this month.

This is my first month for boxy. I tried it because I was really interested in the eyeshadow palette and the other items look good too. Uuuughh I went crazy with boxes this month. I kept my standard three and added 2 more. Allure, glossy, play by sephora and tried Ipsy and boxy. It was really weird with glossy this month because they kicked back my credit card so when I went in to fix it I was able to use a code and get a free box. I’m not complaining but I was feeling so lucky I figured I’d try pushing it and hopefully get two more good boxes. After this review I’m really happy I got boxy this month.

I have been wanting to add this box to my subscription collection for a while now, but trying to justify the cost of one more box! Does Boxycharm ever have coupon codes for new subscribers? That would definitely make the decision easier for me!

Nice looking box. I am glad to see the eyeshadows are Made in the US. The last 3 matte colors look like they swatched a bit patchy, (from what I am seeing). I like the Butter nail color. Don’t need black eyeliner, I have loads to last for years, and don’t use such a dark color lippie, though it does look pretty.
Although this box looks really, really good, I am going to resist ordering, I do not need anymore makeup and really need to use what I got. For all those getting this month, enjoy!! I got a mild case of sub envy on this months’ Boxycharm.

I so don’t need any of these items, but this box looks so good!! Ugh, decisions, decisions 🙂

I want to love the palette but some of those shades seem so so so powdery in texture and just…ugh seem like they would be a pain to blend out or pack color on. I would be annoyed especially if the black has as much fallout as it appears? The mid colors look nice, wonder if it’s by formula and the mattes are powdery?

Boxycharm refuses to make it easy for those of us trying to resist a re-sub. If they would have offered a coupon code this month – Even for a totally not needed mascara – I sooooooo would have been back in.

Still hard to argue that I need a discount considering how high the dollar value this box reaches each month…Yeah, I’m going to be able to hold out for a (possible) black Friday deal….Oh yeah, that’s totally going to happen… 🙂
