If you google “beauty advent calendar 2016” you’ll see what’s in store for this holiday season. Check out Look Fantastic, it’s $95 and it looks pretty good.
This is soooooo much fun!

Thanks so much Karen and I agree – this fun! It’ll be so much more fun if I’m able to get a couple of boxes ?

Laura

Thanks Laura.
I’ll be passing on this.
I hope we get to see more affordable ones soon.

Melissa

$50 doesn’t seem like much of a discount especially around the holidays.

are these advent calendars a new thing or did they have them last year? I couldn’t find any from last year, but was trying to figure out if I should hold out to see if any other companies will be putting out a calendar or if I should just get this one 🙂

Advent calendars are not a new thing. I think this is the just the 1st time that MSA has posted about them. I read that if you google “2016 Beauty Advent Calendars” a whole bunch will show up. This is just the beginning. As October & November roll around a lot more will be coming out. If you’re unsure, I’d just wait to see what else is out there. But probably making your choice by early November will be your best bet, as I’m sure they’ll be hot items and selling fast so people can have them before December. Have fun deciding! 🙂

Hi Luna, thanks so much. I had only ever seen the calendars with chocolate, I’m looking forward to seeing all the beauty ones!

Kristin

This is torture! High end or not that is a lot of money for samples but I want it….

So hard to make up my mind! On one hand I really love body/hand gift boxes, on the other hand this one is so expensive… and it seems Nordstrom has the travel size collections already. Besides I’m still waiting a similar box release from Jo Malone… After all I’m sure I’ll love most of the scents from JM…

Luna

I’m also waiting for the Jo Malone release!!! Just a heads up… if you think this box is expensive, the JM box will be ~$340, and will be released in October.

Hi Luna! The Jo Malone advent calendar is now available at jo Malone stores, it’s $425 and absolutely gorgeous! The one is South Coast Plaza has the Angelitos card event and you get 20% off between now and the 11th. They are selling briskly! Felice helped me and she’s fantastic!

I’m definitely going to buy Jo Malone. I’ve set aside the funds for that. Although Molton Brown is a luxury brand, I still have lots of their bath products from hotels I’ve stayed in for the past year of traveling for work.
Also, the RV is very close to the cost so I would rather just purchase single items at full price and get exactly the product I want. Yes, of course, the idea is to open the drawers but no way I can wait to open only 1 a day.
I’m gonna bust out the Jo Malone box like that kid who got a Nintendo for Christmas.

KarenG

Not sure about this, very tempting but a bit expensive and I’m particular about scents. No way I could ever wait to open only one window a day.
Can someone post once they receive theirs and let us know what you think?

Laura

Is there a retail value for this vs amt it costs?

This has been updated with the RV – $250 🙂

this one is really tempting me!!!

Michelle

Ragan I feel your pain. There is absolutely no way I could resist opening each little door. That said the price is too high to hope I would love every single item.

Jennifer

I like that they didn’t show what everything is. If I bought it for myself, I would like to be surprised.

Luna

Even though I won’t be purchasing this calendar (I already so many Molton Brown products from GWP offers), I too am happy when all of the contents aren’t revealed. However, having said that, I just the contents in an MSA post for a different calendar I purchased blind, and I’m even more excited to have received it!

I am loving all these advent calenders. But, if I buy them, I always open every compartment at once. I have no restraint.

Reply ButtonReply

monah

I’ve asked that question in several other posts on advent calendars. Does anyone have the restraint to just open one each day?

Sue

I totally love waiting for each day, and enjoying that item for that day, then the next. The key is to have several of these calendars, so you get to choose several windows each day!!!

Sue, I like your style. Wake up, make coffee, go to your collections of advent calendars and open several drawers. Surprise! Excellent start to any day!

It’s like waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve, now way! I shake boxes under the tree, try to guess and then open the gift without tearing the wrapping…before Christmas. Always got caught so my mom would hide the gifts in the garage, on a high shelf, out of sight.
