I saw this post, and it made me want to check out the Sephora in the JCPenney store close to my parents, which is about an hour from where I live, lol. At least it didn’t feel like going out of the way cause I was visiting my parents too! I bought the Kissentials Kit, which I like better than the Give Me Some Lip (is that right?) from regular Sephoras, and the Makeup Must-Have Kit. What steals! I love Sephora Favorites kits!

I love that JC Penney’s has kits exclusive to them. It’s gives me more kits to buy!

I read that JC Penney will actually be downsizing their Sephora store sizes, and will be focusing more on the Sephora brand collection. It’ll be interesting to see how that pans out.

So I wandered over to JCPenney. Once I saw that Glow Body Glow and Skin Wonderland sets I had to have them. Those bags are stuffed pretty full and can’t wait to use them.

I took my Play pass with me and my sales consultant had no idea what it was, but asked another lady and she was able to get me my extra points, so it was all good. They were also nice enough to give me 8 or 10 samples, too. Looks like I’ll be going back lol. She also gave me a survey with my receipt and said if I complete it they will send my a coupon. I hadn’t heard of that before, but it sounds good to me.

The lady tried the play pass and said it wouldn’t work and didn’t give any samples. :/

The Smashbox liquid lipstick in the Tempting Ten is brown looking on my light skin, don’t let the picture fool you. Ugly on me, definitely not my color.

The regular Sephora locations (not just JCPenny Sephora) here in Atlanta carry these. I picked up a few last week. They’ve been out in our stores for a few weeks now.

The closest JC Penney with a Sephora in it is over an hour away. Whereas the closest Sephora store by itself is two minutes up the road from my job…

I scored a few of these at JCP tonight! I got 2 of the skin wonderland, the top 10, the unmasked, and the glow body glow! These are a great deal! I like these better than the kits offered at Sephora….even though I bought those also! I am so addicted!

Ummm…what’s so special about this? Sephora has kits like these year round available one and you can purchase most of these at Sephora online right now!

The tempting ten are reallllllly tempting for $49 because a Beauty Blender is $20 and the Brow Wiz is $21 because it said it was full size…but what is the color?…because I have dark brown hair. Those 2 items alone are $41 worth and the other 8 items are definitely worth the 8 extra bucks even if you only wanted those 2 items…I’m just a cheap person so $49 sounds so high…ugh…but it supposedly has a $181 total value. 😛

Medium brown…I am blond, so that will not work for me either.

Candace

It was the medium brown at my JCPenney for the brow wiz.

My gut reaction was not to open this post. I should have listened to my gut. I want three of these kits.

Ditto. ….

Too bad these aren’t sold online. I think the nearest JC Penney to me is ~25 miles away (they keep closing them!!!). I guess it’s for the best to keep me in check. 🙂

Am I allowed to post items from Sephora Favorites kits on the swap site? There doesn’t seem to be a section for it.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I thought I had read somewhere on the forum, that as long as MSA posts about the items, then it’s okay to post on the swap boards.

Reply ButtonReply

Leah

I thought I had read the same thing, that’s why I’m surprised there hasn’t been a Sephora Favorites box set up in the swap site! I guess it should just go under Sephora Favorites Sun Safety kit?

MintySunshine

Omg, this would be great if we could. I just got one and the brow whiz is not in my color 🙁 Not sure what to do with it but it would be nice to be able to swap it

I’ve seen some talk about it but I haven’t gotten official word one way or the other. Hoping Liz can weigh in!

Sarah Steil

Sucks for people like me who live in a small area and the closest big malls are 2 hours away! Our local jc penny only sells clothes. I wish they would let us purchase online

Ok, so I’m confused. Are these supposed to be available at JCPenney? When I clicked the links, they took me to sephora.com. When I checked store availability, it directed me to my local Sephora store.

At least 3 of the sets are available through Sephora directly, including Skin Wonderland. The rest are very similar to online versions already available with one exception (the one with Karuna products). I just finished buying several Sephora Favorites sets online last night so it’s fresh in my memory. Of course I have a hard time remembering where I left my phone but beauty boxes? Yeah, I’m all over those. ?

Luna

JC Penney & Sephora have two different Skin Wonderland sets. Their Lash Stash/Lash Party sets are different too. Out of curiosity, I did a quick glance between the two Skin Wonderland sets, and I couldn’t see any dupes between the two versions (I’m not sure about the mascara one though). This is why I love that JC Penney has sets exclusive to them…. it gives me more sets to purchase and a larger variety of products to try!!! 🙂

Tj

They’re available only at sephora’s that are inside Jcpenney’s.

Marcy

OMG! Already called…have to have skin wonderland! On hold until tomorrow, taking my play pass with me!

Reply ButtonReply

Tj

Yep, I actually picked a couple up two weeks ago and they were were down to the last few lol like being able to try some of the colors in person first!

Reply ButtonReply

Lindsay

the only thing that confuses me- in the Skin Wonderland- why is there dry shampoo/hair texturizer (the B&B)???

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

It’s for your scalp, aka the skin on your head lol

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

I really like these!! Definitely going to try to pick a couple up!

Toni

I treated myself to the Kissentials for my birthday ,and I loved all of the products

Reply ButtonReply

Toni

rosestar

Haha, I know! I normally do almost all my shopping online, but these kits are tempting me to get to a mall asap!

Nan

You better head on over because every one of them was great and very tempting.
