The Fall Norse Box box included two small mugs and two small trays. I'll let you know right now, I love this box.

The box came with a card detailing the included items and talking more about the fall Fika theme. "Fika is the Swedish term for taking a break, often accompanied by coffee and a treat" reads the card. Fall is the perfect time to practice Fika as often as possible, and the items in this box make the Fika experience beautiful and classic.

Marimekko Räsymatto Rectangular Plate, Set of 2 - Total Value $50 ($25 each)

I am a huge Marimekko fan and the Räsymatto pattern, designed by Maija Louekari, is my favorite. I have collected several pieces in this pattern including a teapot, serving bowls, and mugs. I squealed with delight when I opened this box to find two petite plates in the charming dots print I love so well. The plates are small (a little shy of 6x5 inches) but are perfect for holding a cup of coffee and a cookie or two.

The plates are made of white stone and are safe to run through the dishwasher and pop in the microwave.

Stelton THEO Mug with Coaster, Set of 2 - Total Value $50 ($25 each)

To complete the snack and coffee Fika theme, the box included a set of two stoneware mugs. The mugs are unglazed on the outside for a lovely matte finish and glazed on the inside for a glossy look. The pairing of the matte and glossy textures is beautiful. The mugs come with wooden coasters made of bamboo. The textures and materials for these mugs have been carefully chosen for by the designer, Francis Cayouette.

Here's a closer look at how well the matte and glossy finishes work together.

The coaster can also be placed on top of the mug to help keep your coffee warm.

The mugs are petite, handleless, and very classic.

Love!

Verdict: I absolutely love this Fika themed box from Norsebox. The items in the box have a value of $100 which is very good for a $54 box containing design items from brands I know well. This box had an exceptional value for me because it contained two items that fit well with a collection I'm already building in the Marimekko Räsymatto pattern. Adding to my collection always seems like a splurge but now it feels like a true win because these items came in a subscription box! The mugs are lovely and so well designed. This box was a delight for me and will encourage many Fika breaks this fall and winter.

$72 for two cups and two saucers? At IKEA, this buys 14 cup-and-saucer sets.

I know lol! It is a nice looking set but I guess I’m cheap, totally can’t justify that. My husband would think I lost my mind!
