I received the calendar today and for the most part I’m happy with it. Of course I opened everything immediately since I have no self control. Doors 6 and 8 had the wrong products in them. The inside of the doors has what the item is and tips on using it.
Door #1: Nyx Lip Cream in Natural-the formula is great but the color was way too pale. I added some eyeshadow to give it some color.
Door #2: EcoTools Kabuki Brush-really soft and great quality.
Door #3: SinfulColors Nail Polish in Silver Crush-it is clear with flecks of silver.
Door #4: Nexxus Finishing Mist-I love this and it works great.
Door #5: Me Bath Soap Bomb
Door #6: Pacifica Face Wash (this door had the wrong item in it)
Door #7: Burts Bee’s Lip Balm-I love Burts Products.
Door #8: Mayfair Body Creme in Lily Jasmine-(this door had the wrong item in it) Smells wonderful
Door #9: Pixi Glow Tonic
Door #10: Acure Day Cream
Door #11: Umberto Lifting Powder
Door #12: Laneige Sleeping Mask
Everyone probably gets different colored nail polish and Lip Cream.

Is it just me or would it be more fun if these advent calendar’s are a surprise when you open the doors.

With $3 coupon and redcard discount and tax mine came to $22,46. I feel that’s a good deal as this will be going to a young woman who is trying to start up her skin care and make up collection.

Darn, haven’t seen a decent Target box in four months. This is a dimestore box, too. Have had better boxes from them for $7. After nine months of four diff subs, I have enough of ‘everything’ to last for two years. Good time to back off, use up my stash, and wait for new products to hit the market.

Too bad they showed what product was behind each door.

Luna

I thought the same thing too originally. But knowing me, by the time December comes (December 14th, to be exact) I’ll not only have forgotten what’s behind each door (I only looked at it once this morning, and I won’t look again), but mostly what products are even in the calendar, so it’ll still be a surprise for me. 🙂

Agree. Even if you already know what’s included in the calendar, it still leaves suspense in not knowing the order.

JacLyn

I find it weird that they give you a kabuki brush, but nothing to use it with? O.o

Nan

I liked that brush and almost ordered just to get one lol. I’ve got plenty of stuff I can use it with.

Sent one to my sis. She does not sub to any boxes, so loves when I send her one. She’ll appreciate it. I got the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar for me. 🙂

Jenny

I got the Lookfantastic one too! It’s ginormous! I’m really really looking forward to opening that one 🙂

Luna

I agree(!), both about the size and the eagerness to open the LF calendar. 🙂 My mouth actually dropped open when I saw how big the shipping box was. My cat immediately took over the shipping box, and officially made it her new “bed” to sleep in.

Where was this from? Is it still available?

Debbie

I’m normally all over stuff like this, but this does not excite me at all. Even with three bucks off its to much money for what is in it.

angie

I agree. Too much money for too little products

Andrea

I’m always really tempted by these but will have to pass. I’d get it for $15, maybe $20 but probably not. I already have the QVC beauty advent calendar, it’s more expensive but like that it’s the 24 days. And I get so many other subscriptions I don’t need more stuff to add to my stash yet.

Same thoughts here. Maybe for $20. Definitely not for $24.99. Some people have the $3 off coupons, but not me. Seems like having a coupon would be a necessity for me to even consider this box. I still love Target, but color me disappointed.

I got one !! Used the $3 coupon and one $5 gift card I forgot I had ! Love the Advent calendars! Now I have 2 very happy !

I’ve been wanting advent calendars for my adult daughters and I think this one is great. With all the different items and the cute packaging it’s well worth the price. I’m getting two. And using gift cards I’ve received from all the great shopping deals I’m out-of-pocket $1.75. Works for me. 🙂

Nan

I will say, though, that there is more actual product in it than the Sephora Advent Calendars which cost me twice as much.

Adrienne

I bought one! But I’m new to the whole beauty thing so I don’t already have any of these products (except Burt’s Bees) and some of them I’ve been wanting to try like the Pixi and LaNeige stuff.

Reply ButtonReply

Nan

I think it’s a good way to try lots of products at once, so I think you’ll be happy! Target has always been quick with their shipping for me, too, so that’s a plus with the Advent calendars, since I like to give them as gifts to the girls on Thanksgiving.

Another thing I like about Target is if you like something you can just go to the store and buy it, often using the $3 coupons. Or if you have a Red Card everything ships free so no worries about spending $25- $30 to avoid shipping fees.

Still have most of that stuff in my stash, from previous boxes! Might make a good gift at 15.00. Too pricey!

Reply ButtonReply

Ellen

That is what I was thinking, only worth it if it was $15.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Same here!

Kerri

The usual Target boxes have what 8 items or so for $10, and they want us to spend $25 for 12 items??? hahahaha, no thank you! I also noticed customers can buy up to 5.

Reply ButtonReply

Tj

..I thought exactly the same. There’s no way I’d spend $25 on that and I lovvvve target but nooooo way lol

Kp

Website says $65 value humberto is small but full size? No?

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Disappointing!!!! Target’s boxes haven’t been too great the last few months?

Reply ButtonReply

Sabrina

Seems a bit pricey for what’s in it!
Pass for me!

Reply ButtonReply

Wifey

Pass. It’s pretty expensive for just sample size stuff.

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda Vela

I wish it was worth more but the value might be around $40

Khaleesi

I think we’ve been somewhat spoiled by past Target boxes and other high value subs (FFF, BeautyFix, etc) so this doesn’t ‘wow’ us as much.

I still think it’s a good value and I’m sure I will definitely want it after Liz does her review ? but I think I will pass for now.

Rebecca

I know, I’m saying “no” now, but watch me get box envy when Liz’s review comes but out.

Rebecca

Comes out*

My phone tried to be funny!

Randi

Thanks Liz!

You can use the coupon from Nov Beauty Box on this to save $3

Reply ButtonReply

Charlene Kline

Do you think the Target Advent Calendar Beauty Box is worth $24?

Reply ButtonReply

Ariana

Nope, and not buying. Target keeps missing the mark with me lately…

Reply ButtonReply

Nan

I’m going with no, too. If you’ve never had any of the products, maybe it would be a good way to try a bunch at once? Many of these have already been featured in the monthly boxes and interestingly they are the ones I haven’t even been excited to try and have been giving away.

If I had a daughter I might buy one just for the fun of it.

Jess M

Actually the NYX lip cream, Sinful Colors nail polish and Burt’s Bees balm are all full-sized, so that’s $13-14, and I know that travel size of the Pixi Glow Tonic is $6 and the Laniege mask is about the same, so that’s basically the value of the calendar … then everything else is free, as is shipping. Or you can look at it as about $2 per item (and they’re all at least deluxe sample/travel sizes). So if you want these items, or know someone who would, then it’s definitely worth $25!

Reply ButtonReply

Helen

No, no and no.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenni

Nope. It’s all sample sizes

Thank you for your input!!
