Avenue A by Adidas is a quarterly fitness and running subscription box. Every season they send subscribers at least 3 premium fitness items, (most will be sized).

If you are looking for a fitness/workout-gear box - I can't recommend this one enough. I'm thrilled with the value of these boxes so far!

Each season Adidas reveals the shoe that will be featured in the box up front, and this was the hero item spoiler for the Winter box.

First, I absolutely love the look of this shoe! The grey mesh with black detailing is perfection!

The fit is good, too. I saw some reviews that recommended sizing down, but I stuck with my standard size 9 and these fit perfectly. (I would say my foot is on the wider side, so if you have a narrower foot, you may want to size down.)

The mesh upper hugs my foot for a really comfortable fit. The base is flexible and has a little bounce, (though not as much as I was expecting from a shoe that has the word Bounce in its name!)

And I LOVE these shoes! They have a leather upper with the classic rubber shell shell toe. (And that gold foil logo!)

They are comfortable, and I love that Adidas sent us both a lifestyle shoe and a sneaker in this box!

Each season, Avenue A has a new curator for the box, and for the Winter box, Rita Ora not only curated the box but also included some pieces from her Adidas line.

This is an oversized, super comfortable, and SUPER bold hoodie! The sleeves feature the classic Adidas 3-stripes with mesh inserts.

The detailing on this sweatshirt is fantastic - it's super cozy, and really well made. (Just a heads up - the sleeves run long!) Here it is on:

These are thin tights with low to medium compression.

These definitely push me out of my comfort zone! (Though, technically they are comfortable!) I decided to pair them with the zip hoodie from the last box and the white layered top from this box:

Again, the classic yellow three stripe has mesh detailing, so you will get some ventilation with these tights!

Adidas 2 in 1 Top - Value $35?

This top is two separate pieces, and it is from the 2017 Fall/Winter collection, so Avenue A subscribers are getting exclusive access!

I LOVE how this top feels - it's a super stretchy material with an almost silk-like feel!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $345. I think the value is fantastic and I absolutely love both of the shoes in the box! The 2-in-1 top is a perfect workout top for me, too. The Banned from Normal pieces are probably too cool for me, but I've been wearing the hoodie since I first tried it on - it's so cozy I don't want to take it off! And considering I do 99% of my workouts in the privacy of my own home, I think I'm going to be rocking those tights on a regular basis, too!

The Banned from Normal pieces are pretty taste specific, so I think this box might have worked better for many subscribers with only the hoodie and a plain running tight, but considering the value they provide with this box, I'm OK with all these selections.

I had good luck on eBay and my local buy sell trad Facebook pages. I sold tights for 40 and the hoodie went for 45 on eBay. Superstars went for 60 locally.

FYI: I did an exchange, got shoes that fit me better, and they told me to keep the ones that don’t fit.

Well this weekend, I thought I’d just try to see if the adidas outlet would take the 2 pairs that don’t fit me and give me store credit. I got $180 back that could be used at the outlet or online. I just told them they didn’t fit and I threw the receipt away.

So if you live near an outlet, try that if you can’t sell them!

Yeah, I had boxes from the exchange, so i brought them in those. I kept it vague and just said they didn’t fit and I absentmindedly threw the receipt away. They didn’t really question it too hard. I just let them know I was totally fine taking store credit (honestly if I got $50 back, I wasn’t going to complain – that’s $50 I would be able to spend on something that fits/is my style)

Outlets are usually full of merchandise that’s clearly been returned by customers and isn’t the typical stock.

I would do it soon; they were having a great deal. Like spent $150+ get $50 off; spend $100, get $20 off.

This has been the worst experience ever. Not only did Avenue A take the funds from my account at the beginning of December, but they never sent the box I ordered (by the way this was my first Avenue A box ever), did not respond to any of my 5 separate emails for 2 weeks, and then when I finally was able to get in touch with their customer service, all they did was say that due to a technical error, my order was never sent to their system (although they sure did have my order in their system to deduct the funds from my account), and then offered to send the box a month late or give me a refund. When I told them I wanted a refund and would appreciate some sort of effort to make this right by sending me part or all of the original box I ordered, they responded (4 days later) by saying they could not do that, and canceled my subscription. WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.

I will most definitely not be ordering anything from Avenue A again.

The worst part is, I have no one I can speak to about this since the only way to get in touch with them is through email. This was my first time ordering from Avenue A, AND my first time ordering any sort of subscription box. Never again.

I just received the replacements for both shoes and now they both fit! Super happy about this experience, I feel that Adidas delivered for me. I hope those that are encountering issues will find an acceptable resolution soon.

I also have had no response from their customer service. The exchange form on their website won’t take my order number it says it’s invalid and that is a required field to place the request. I need to exchange the alpha shoes for a lower size. They aren’t answering my emails to customer service and they have no number listed to call. It’s a shame this subscription was a gift to my daughter but if they don’t respond I will be cancelling.

I am having the same issue! They shipped my box after the delivery date and I had emailed them about it weeks ago…..no response. And once I finally got the box, I found that my sweatshirt was way too big and had a hole in the cuff/sleeve. I went to exchange only to find that my confirmation email is nowhere to be found. I emailed them for help. We will see if they decide to respond. I don’t understand how they can just ignore customer emails. It’s not good business.

I just received an email from them, saying they would be shipping out the smaller size shoe I need and to “give the size 9s to a friend”. I haven’t received tracking yet but if this occurs as promised it makes up for the delay and I will be keeping the sub.

I received my box out of the blue on the 19th and beginning on the 26th have attempted to contact that company through their email address to exchange the shoes to a size smaller, even though I ordered in my daughter’s size. The exchange sight refused to take my order number and no one will contact me to discuss the matter. Had anyone one else had this experience, and what did you do?!!

While I really liked the last Avenue A box, this one is a bit too “urban” for me. I am a runner and these clothes are not runner friendly. If anyone would like to buy the entire box, please let me know. Everything is a Medium and both shoes are a Size 9. Would also sell pieces individually.

Had to email adidas for exchange tracking number . Received the tracking info for the alpha bounce and hoodie . Separate tracking numbers for each item. Still waiting for the superstars exchange . Hopefully everyone will get their items soon 🙂

Are you talking about tracking numbers for your exchange requests? How long did it take for them to respond to your exchange request? I just got my box today, but I tried on the shoes & I ordered too small. I haven’t bought tennis shoes in about 6 years lol… I should’ve went to a store & tried some on first to know what my size was. The hoodie is super comfy, but definitely ‘oversize’ is correct. Very loosely fitted & long on the length of the sleeves.

My first email to them regarding the exchange was Saturday (I received the box Friday) I heard back on Tuesday confirming the exchange items. I emailed again on Wednesday requesting tracking numbers for the exchange items and received a reply today with the tracking numbers. hopefully you will get a reply soon too!

My shoes were too big and they are sending replacements. I went up a half size because the last pair were almost too small. It would be nice, since we usually know the shoes in advance, if they could tell us if that style runs true to size, big or small and we could adjust the sizing accordingly. Other than that, I have loved my first 2 boxes and the response from customer service – which unfortunately sounds hit or miss.

Has anyone had any luck getting a response from customer service? I’ve sent e-mails with absolutely no reply. I was very obviously sent the wrong sizes in my box. I ordered a S in clothing and a 7 in shoes and got a box with XL clothing items and size 9 shoes. I’m really disappointed – I actually love the shoes and was hoping to wear them on an upcoming trip. I can’t fathom another company having such awful customer service. There’s no phone number to call. I may end up having to dispute through Paypal and canceling my sub (which is a pity, I really liked my first two boxes).

We are thrilled that you are an Avenue A subscriber. We have heard from so many female athletes just like you that they wanted a service like this to help simplify their lives and get a quarterly surprise of must-have items.

I sincerely hope you loved the items in the Avenue a box. While I understand that color and size can be an issue, we hope that at the very least you loved the content of the box. Please let me know what you thought of the box content, the box itself (packaging) and how we are doing on servicing your subscription. We want you to love each box you receive.

So you need to exchange some items, not a problem. I have placed an order for the new items (both pairs of shoes and sweatshirt) and I’ll get them out right away. No need to return the other pairs, please give them to a friend who may be able to use them.

Again, please let me know all about your Avenue a experience so far.

Following up: I received my replacements yesterday. I didn’t get any emails notifying me they shipped or any tracking.

I went down a size in both shoes. The AlphaBounce Fit me, but the Superstars are still a little big. If you’re trying to exchange those – I recommend going 2 sizes down. I’m not sure if I should even contact them again though to see if could exchange for an even smaller size. I know you can only fill out the form once.

Anyone else ever have this issue of still needing a new size after getting their new items?

I requested for an exchange of both shoes last week, forgetting to mention I also needed a bigger sweater (I know, surprising) they responded with no issue, and added it to my exchange order. I have already received both shoes, just waiting on the sweater! I’m not sure about exchanging for ANOTHER pair of shoes, but they had no issue adding my extra item to the exchange a few days ago.

How did someone send that with a straight face? They can’t have. “We know the clothes are ugly and won’t fit you, but did you like the box they came in?” Unbelievable. The only reason I’m sticking it out for Spring is because Hannah seems to be an actual athlete (though also a DJ) and the styles she wears in her snapchat every day are pretty normal. Crossing my fingers that the curator actually gets to set the tone rather than the marketing department that has to move what doesn’t sell or was screwed up in manufacturing.

When did you reach out to request an exchange in sizes? I just did so today, because I was out of town and just opened my box. Avenue A message on the site said “it’s too late for exchanges”. Keeping my fingers crossed they will still honor my request!

I received my box yesterday and emailed them about an exchange. I also received the message “it’s too late.” They said they would replace my item. They were very nice and helpful.

I did it the day I got my box, 12/19. I didn’t see that message, which is really odd to me that it’s happening to some people. The boxes are still being delivered, so it makes no sense why they aren’t allowing any more exchanges.

After seeing my friend receive her last box, I immediately signed up for the winter box. My credit card was charged in September, but I have not yet received my box. I tried contacting them twice regarding when I can expect to receive my box or tracking number, but I still have not received any replies from them. I’m so disappointed with the lack of customer service I’m receiving and this is my first subscription box that I ever signed up with. Is anyone else having issues with shipping??

I’ve been eyeing this box for a few months now and wanted it badly! But my only concern is the size, I’m only 5’1 and wear a women’s size 5 or 5.5 in women shoes, but when it comes to sneakers, I seem to fit in sizes 4, 4.5. I just purchased the shell top Adidas in size 4; I tried them on in a 4 1/2, and they were huge on me. When I went online to sign up for the box, the smallest size they have is a size five, so that sucks. I hope that Adidas will size down for the subscription box in the future, I know a size four seems tiny, but they have always been known to run a bit big.

I just went to the Avenue A website to fill out the exchange form. Its says the “the period for the most recent edition has passed. Exchange requests may only be submitted within the first 10 days of receipt of the box”. This is insane! I’m so over this box!

woo hoo! filled out an exchange form on 12/19 and then emailed them right after in regards to the same shoe exchange glitch thing and they had responded back today (12/21) that they are going to send out new pairs of the shoes and made sure to write BOTH alphabounce and superstars will be sent. 🙂 have no fear ladies! I think since its the holidays, they are being bombarded and I think they are trying their best to get through the emails. I hope you all hear from them soon!!
