The cookie cake is very soft while the filling is smooth and sweet. Add in the fudge, and you've got a big-time winner.

Cookie Monstah Peanut Butter Cup - Value $5.50

When it comes to sweets, my first choice is always something with Peanut Butter involved - so you can imagine the size of my eyes when I saw this!

Amazon-Prime-Surprise-Sweets-March-2017-0023

These are large - each one weighs 5.5 ounces.

This milk chocolate peanut butter cup is filled with peanut butter, but also chocolate chips and bits of cookies and cream cookies! Combined with the whoopie pie - this box is an easy winner!

Cashew Almond Toffee Popcorn - Value $8

Besides peanut butter - toffee is next in line for favorite sweets! Think caramel corn, but with a drizzled toffee topping instead of caramel - wow!

What I like most about this sweet popcorn is that it wasn't too sweet. It also includes almonds and cashews for a little extra flavor.

Amazon-Prime-Surprise-Sweets-March-2017-0015

jcoco Black Fig Pistachio Dark Chocolate Bar - Value $7.50

This was my least favorite of the month. That wasn't a surprise since it was up against some of my favorites, and dark chocolate is never my go-to chocolate.

Amazon-Prime-Surprise-Sweets-March-2017-0017

It didn't have printed nutritional facts - so Amazon included it on its own.

Amazon-Prime-Surprise-Sweets-March-2017-0018

Amazon-Prime-Surprise-Sweets-March-2017-0019

They're shipped in 3 parts - which is good for whatever kind of portion control you're trying to achieve with a sweets box :)!

Amazon-Prime-Surprise-Sweets-March-2017-0020

Each bar has a bit of pistachio and fig in it - but I wouldn't say it's packed in. The fig does add a nice flavor pop to the dark chocolate.

Amazon-Prime-Surprise-Sweets-March-2017-0027

Jammy Jacks - Value $2.33 (based on 3-pack)

The last item was a bonus item! I was happy to see this full-size sweet as a bonus instead of the single, small, bites from previous boxes!

Amazon-Prime-Surprise-Sweets-March-2017-0029

Amazon-Prime-Surprise-Sweets-March-2017-0030

These were 'fall apart in your hand' fresh - and it echoed in the taste! This oat bar is covered with caramel and includes a raspberry jam to really pop out some flavor - absolutely delicious!

Verdict: This was, by far, my favorite Surprise Sweets delivery, ever. I hit all of my favorite notes with sweet treats - and those treats were all SO good! The value is good, too - at close to $28 in value this month - better than all of my past shipments. I'm excited to see where they take this subscription, but I've loved discovering new and smaller brands.

I did not get the whoopies in my Amazon box, so I just ordered them. They gave me a link for $25.00 off order Cape May Whoopies. link: goldbely.com/?dc=icedcoffee1201 or Referral code: icedcoffee120. I don’t know if it will work. Good luck!

I finally got around to setting up my button (we were a little nervous about all the settings the app wanted access to, so we eventually installed it using an old, factory reset phone) and I’ve already ordered two boxes. So far, I’ve fallen in love with the Nutwhats from my first box, and also enjoyed the cookies a whole lot. We’ve only tried the taffy and brigaderios from box 2, and already love the latter. They’re delicious!

Personally, I’m a little confused by people who dislike their boxes – it seems that they just don’t like sweets to me. We all have preferences, of course, but if you refuse to eat any dark chocolate, why are you buying a mystery box of boutique sweets? I have a few flavor combos I don’t like as much as others, but I’m open to trying all different ingredients and recipes. I think the box works well if you’re in the same category. So far, my favorites (the Nutwhats and brigaderios) are unique treats that I probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise since I have no clue where to get them. The value isn’t amazing, but they are from small companies and so I’m not expecting crazy discounts.

I feel bad for people still on the waitlist, though. It just seems random, but you’ll get off eventually (and who knows, you might not like it anyway lol).

I was so excited to order my first box after I saw this review. I got mine today and it was a complete miss. It had biscotti (which are mostly all broken to bits), the salt water taffy (that was featured in the 2014 Popsugar Resort box (no one in my house can eat that either… braces, teeth stuff), and 2 other dark chocolate items (husband might eat it, but he’s the only one that will eat dark chocolate in my house). So, nothing like MSA’s box that had such a nice variety of items.

I’m not trying to be too picky – my feeling is if I can eat at least one item, I’m ok with it. But, I figure if I can’t eat a single item in the box, then it’s a no go for me. I did call Amazon’s Surprise Sweet customer service number to see if I could return the box and they said that they won’t take it back (due to health concerns from returning food items), but they did credit my account, so that was really nice.

I asked what would I should do if this happened again, and she said just call us back if I’m not happy and they will refund me. I hit my Dash button again, so hopefully the new box will be better. If not, then I’m guessing this box isn’t for me or my family. 🙂

They’ll really just refund the whole thing? I wonder what they have in place to prevent people from taking advantage of that.

I think I got the same box as you, but it doesn’t seem bad at all. Did you get the Brigaderios? They are delicious and not dark chocolate. My biscotti were a bit broken up, but it was as much as I’d expect for a shipped baked good.

Samantha

Yes, they will refund it. I didn’t like(felt like they weren’t edible) the smoked almonds nor the taffy from a box last month, but did like the other two items. When I called, they refunded me the cost of just the items I didn’t like. I really appreciated it!

Krystyn

I’m not sure how they pull people off the wait list, is it by how much you spend as a Prime member? I go through a few grand a month in Amazon purchases and was only on the wait list for this for ONE day! Which I AM NOT complaining about but I feel that it should be first come first served.

I also wonder what the criteria is for getting an invite. I also got an invite after a day. While I do order from Amazon frequently, I am not spending thousands per month.

Noa

Getting this dash is the worst decision I’ve ever made! The boxes are so great I can’t stop clicking it. I need to hide it. But I loved almost every single item I’ve gotten (or I gifted them to very happy friends) and I just want to see what else they have to send.

xunseenx

i’ve only had one box so far. i also got the whoopie pie in mine and oh. em. gee!!! that thing is frigging divine! i didn’t think it would be so yummy! i wish the entire box was all whoopie pies!

the rest of the box didn’t blow me away. some kind of dark chocolate mint, flavored popcorn, toffee and the bonus piece of chocolate that seems to be in a lot of boxes. luckily, it was $4.99 less (dash button rebate). even saving, i still felt it wasn’t a great value.

i’m going to order another box soon, hoping i get one that i like better!

I couldn’t agree with you more – I need to stop myself from ordering directly from Cape Whoopies because they are just TOO GOOD!

Connie

I have been really happy so far, with the boxes I get. my only unhappiness is Amazon doesn’t sell any of the sweets. So if you really like something, it is hard to get it again.

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda H

Still not off the waitlist and have been on since January. I’m over it.

Reply ButtonReply

Connie

Try requesting the dash button several times over and over. I hit it about four times and immediately got the email to order it.

Reply ButtonReply

Regina

The website won’t allow me to make more than one request. What browser are you using?

Flo

Different strokes time. That chocolate bar was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Got it in a box last year and have looked all over town for one.

This box looks amazing!!! That peanut butter cup though…swoon! ❤ My first box was so disappointing that I’ve been hesitant to press it again. I may have to give it another shot.

Callie Beck

This looks so yummy, that whoopie pie in particular!

I am with a few others down below, I requested my button back on the same day you guys posted your first review. Even though we use Amazon a lot, have Amazon Fresh, and use several buttons in our house for other products I still haven’t been taken off the waiting list. Seems a little disappointing, but maybe it’s a lot more popular than I guessed?

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

Well now I’ve gone and pressed the button again. I hope I get to try that whoopie pie!

Reply ButtonReply

Terry

The whoopie pie was excellent – but I did not get the reese cup type chocolate! I have had two so far – enjoyed them both

Shelly

Is this the only box like this that Amazon has?

My first delivery of this box comes tomorrow and I’m getting:

CocoaPlanet Mandarin Orange
Very a Chocolates Luxury Chocolate Tiles
Fran’s Chocolate Mint Thins
Mrs. Weinstein Toffee Milk Almond Toffee Squares
KUL Chocolate Artisan Crafted 70% Dark Chocolate Bar, Saltsation
Bissinger’s Caramelized Blood Orange
CocoaPlanet Deep Dark Truffle

Would love to get the box reviewed though! Looks delish! Maybe it will show up for my next one!

This was my first box!! I loved it. Great value. I think I calculated about $38. Two items were “extras” but they were full size. Its a lot of dark chocolate though, I think only the toffee was milk. I liked everything. If you have a question, let me know.

Reply ButtonReply

michelle

How do you know what you’re getting before it comes?

Reply ButtonReply

Rhubarb

In the email that Amazon sends you – there is a little button where it says you can look at or print the invoice. Push that button – it lists everything you’re getting.

michelle

Oh… I wonder if I push my button, will get this amazing box?! Awesome!!

Nikol

EVERY box you’ve reviewed was DRAMATICALLY better than the lame one I got. Mine was disappointing enough for me to chuck the button in the garbage.

I requested January 2nd and still have not received my invitation 😢

Kecia

Also still waiting. Not sure what else I need to do??? I have been a loyal Amazon Prime customer for MANY years! 😕

Reply ButtonReply

Regina

I requested in January also and still haven’t gotten my button. It seems like some people say they got theirs after two weeks. Guess I must not be high priority.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

Same! I want my button! It’s been several months. I’ve been a Prime member for ages and buy from them constantly. How do they choose who gets the button?

Amanda

Same. I have honestly just given up on it.
