I just saw earlier that the Make up Forever product is the Aqua XL eyeliner in I’m almost positive matte black.

Yea just double checked on the App and in my inbox there was a notice that I could reveal the product and it is the Aqua XL waterproof eyeliner. Would be nice if they sent something other than black.

Ugh. So I got an email on Monday that my payment had expired, and I had to update before 4/7 to still receive the April box. I immediately went and updated my payment (all it needed was the new expiration date, the numbers on my card are still the same). Then I got an email today saying that I never updated my payment and I won’t be receiving the April box. I called support, and there was a glitch on their end where it didn’t update properly and was still showing the old expiration date, despite the fact that it showed the updated info when I log in to my account. Because today is the 8th, they said I won’t be getting the April box, even though the error was on their end. Basically I got an, ooops, sorry, but it’s too late for us to fix our mistake. I’m really frustrated, especially since sephora is known for their customer service and I’ve always been a huge fan of theirs. Any suggestions?

Try reaching out to them via Twitter. It worked for me with an unrelated issue.

I’m shocked everyone hates Exfolikate! I almost went out and bought an entire bottle of the stuff after I tried the sample. It worked wonders on my skin, my skin was baby soft afterward. That said, I still have quite a few Kate S samples and I recently tried a sample for the Ole Henriksen Collagen Boosting Serum – omg, it smells HEAVENLY. It is amazing. I almost shelled out $60 for the stuff but I held off to wait for a sale. My top choice is the Ole Henriksen or the Fresh mask, I love Fresh, it is so expensive but so worth it, and it smells absolutely amazing. If only I could afford it… I haven’t tried that product by Peter Thomas Roth but the reviews on Beautypedia for that product and most of PTR’s products are so high that I’d be excited to try it, and I really do need a new water-based moisturizer since my skin has been flaking off on me.
In order of slight preference: Fresh (simply because it’s the most expensive brand), Ole Henriksen (necessity – if I don’t get it, I’d buy it anyway), Peter Thomas Roth (I do need a moisturizer)/Kate Somerville (tried and true, a strong want but not a need, exfoliator so I’d be using it fortnightly), but all of these products are great!

I love Exfoliate. I have tried so many other exfoliating products and this one is the best by far. The smell reminds me of licorice which I like so it’s not bothersome.

Im 575 and still no spoilers??

575 too. Fair skin, hazel eyes, red hair, & combo skin. I think I’ll love any of these so far. I’ve learned not to judge my products before I get them. I had previously been looking at the spoilers and had a bit of the green eye envy . I then receive my bag and fall in love with my selections. Separate hasn’t let me down yet.

April will be my first month. I am very disappointed with including so much skin care. I LOVE my skin care regimen. It’s serious business – nothing to play with. I was hoping for makeup to play with. The name after all is Sephora PLAY.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer McCain

Sephora Play is VERY heavy on the skincare samples. I haven’t received all that many makeup testers to be honest. This may not be the right box for you.

Reply ButtonReply

karen

I strongly prefer skincare, haircare, and perfume samples.
I actually get annoyed when I get makeup samples because they are never the muted colors that I prefer. I don’t wear a lot of makeup and am happy with the makeup I do wear.
Skincare and perfume are my favorite things to get in these boxes, hands down.

Bexxyrae

You realize that you’ll only receive ONE of these skin care products in your bag right?

Reply ButtonReply

nancyisshopping

I’m pretty sure the box is usually containing 2-3 skin care items

Reply ButtonReply

Than play with your skin care… it is called PLAY.

I hope to receive the ptr. If I happen to receive the
ExfoliKate I will just use it on my bottom & not my face.

Reply ButtonReply

Amber M

I am getting box 583 🙂 I have fair combo skin.

I hope I get the fresh mask in my box 🙂

Well, two of them are aloe-free, and one has aloe as the 27th ingredient, so that one might not be too bad. But I won’t know for probably two to three weeks what I’ll be getting….

Reply ButtonReply

Siren

I’m hoping for the Cloud Cream! I’ve been wanting to try that since I first saw it!

Reply ButtonReply

Jenn

I hope I don’t get the Cloud Cream. Silicone makes my usually not-sensitive skin break out and dimethicone is too high up in the ingredient list for me to take a chance with it.

While I agree that ExfoliKate can be a bit rough on my face, it’s a great scrub for my hands. Last thing before bed, I’ll give them a wash with a dab of that, follow it with some SpaRitual antiaging serum and then a good slathering of moisturizer. They are so soft in the morning!

Haven’t found at least a couple of products I like in every Play box I’ve received.

Amber May

I love that we get one of those skin care products and a makeup forever item!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

I really want any of those skincare products except the Peter Thomas Roth Cloud Cream.

Reply ButtonReply

Nyesha

Any of those are worth a try to me. I LOVE GOOD SKINCARE!!

Just started getting this subscription last month. What do you all do with the bags? I get Ipsy too. Looking for creative uses.

Reply ButtonReply

Ana

I’ve been using them to store panties while traveling. I turn the bags upside down for used panties. That way I can toss both the bag and undies in the wash when I’m back from my trip.

Reply ButtonReply

Miss E

These are great suggestions. I get both Ipsy & Play! too. With the Play! bags, I also use one for carrying my ‘period paraphernalia’ around (that’s a popular use), another for my laundry quarters (since I can tie it to the basket – hate getting downstairs to the laundry room & realizing my quarters are upstairs). They’re good for headphones, chargers, batteries; all that small stuff that gets lost easily. I have clothing with removable straps/accessories & the Play! bags are great to store them in & hang off the hanger. Toss a soap or pot-pourri in ’em to stuff in your drawers. Using them to separate your make-up is an awesome tip too & I love the idea of keeping one for storing undies when traveling. There was a mesh bag a couple months ago that’s perfect for putting my no-show socks into & throwing the whole thing in the wash so those little socks don’t get lost but it has an open weave.

The Ipsy pouches are fab for gift-bags & people love getting them cos they’re utilitarian, though I hang onto my fave designs. I use a pouch for keeping my stash of assorted first aid/make-up/bits & bobs so I can quickly switch purses. I have one with my car reg in it so I can find it in the glove box easily. They make for great pencil cases. They’re good passport/ticket holders too. I like taking a few with me when I travel so my stuff is organized (make-up/skin care/hair stuff) instead of one large vanity case so I know what’s in what & if something explodes en-route, any mess is limited to that one bag. Going abroad, they’re handy for holding different denominations of money so they don’t get all mixed up with your usual currency & you end up at home with a bunch of useless small bills & coins.

There’s a ton of uses but if you find yourself with too many, donate them to a women’s shelter or charity shop. Someone will want them! PS – I re-use the pink Ipsy mailers too, just securely tape or glue paper over the original label. When I sent my Mum her last birthday present, I think she was more excited about the sparkly envelope than the actual gift. 🙂

Carol

I use them to organize each makeup item. I have a brow bag, eye cream bag, moisturizer bag, and so on. Its nice that I can just grab a bag and root through it looking for the SMALL samples I receive from all my beauty boxes

Reply ButtonReply

Maria

I also sew, and I use them to organize my threads and my buttons.

Reply ButtonReply

Julia

I use them as cute organizers for small things. My self-assembled manicure kit goes in one, and I previously used others to store things like hair pieces and all my subscription box makeup and skincare that wasn’t in my current rotation. Also, I live in an apartment and don’t have a lot of space, so I keep things like my washi tape and art erasers in them. They’re also good for storing smaller things in your purse/ beach tote/ gym bag so you don’t lose them. The ipsy bags are a good size for slightly larger items like tampons and a makeup refresher kit (lip product, face mist/ blotting paper, etc.).

They’re also great for giving gifts, especially if the present is a bunch of extra beauty samples. 🙂

Jennifer

Crossing my fingers for the cloud cream. I’ve already had and used a sample of it. I still have samples of exfoilikate (never tried) and the Fresh mask that I still haven’t used. truth serum is good too.

Reply ButtonReply

Geena

NOT THE TRUTH SERUM. I don’t even care between the other three, though I’d most like the Fresh, but the Truth Serum is a collagen builder/collagen active product and I have a medical condition that keeps me away from those as much as possible just to be on the safe side.

Reply ButtonReply

Britt

Fresh Vitamin Nectar mask…. YES, PLEASE!

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

I think I would be happy with any of those, the only one I have tried is the ole. I am happy it did not end up being a bunch of cleansers because I feel like those are samples all the time.

Reply ButtonReply

SugarPixels

Crossing my fingers I get the Fresh Vitamin Nectar. Pretty please!

Reply ButtonReply

Mel

I am so glad I canceled. So far no good spoilers this month.

Reply ButtonReply

Nelita

I cancelled too. They take too long to ship and the samples are usually really small and not deluxe size.

Reply ButtonReply

Issraa

Me too! I just cancelled and I’m glad.
