Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0001

Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0005

Now, onto the items!

Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0010

Soapbox Bamboo Shampoo - 2 oz Value $.75

Yay for a matching shampoo and conditioner set! (Sometimes I'll get only a shampoo or conditioner in a subscription box.)

Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0008

Soapbox Bamboo Conditioner - 2 oz Value $.75

The Soapbox formulas are ingredient-conscious, and a purchase of a full-size version of any of their products gives a bar of soap to a person in need.

And in addition to all that good stuff, this set has a refreshing scent and left my hair clean and moisturized!

Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0014

SkinFix Foaming Oil Cleanser - 1 oz Value $4.40

(Good to know for swaps - this has an inner foil seal.)

SkinFix is one of my favorite brands to see in the Target Beauty Box. Up until now, I've only sampled their lip and moisturizers, so this is a nice change!

The cleanser is a foaming oil that is gentle and smells like cucumbers! It didn't dry out my skin, and like all SkinFix products, this cleanser is also ingredient-conscious!

Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0018

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine in Radiant - .17 oz Value $5?

I'm not 100% on the value of this lip gloss. The label of the sample lists it as 4.8 g/.17 oz, which is larger than the full-size version Target lists at .12 oz.

So either this sample has more actual product than the full-size sample, or the size was mislabeled. (Either way, it's a good sample size!)

Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0019

The formula provides a good amount of shine, a hint of color, and practically no stickiness. But the wand seems a little too wide for the tube - you pretty much have to force it back into the container!

Here it is swatched:

Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0020

Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0012

Jergen's Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer in Fair to Medium - 2 oz Value $2.30

This is a great product if you don't have a lot of time to apply self-tanner, wait for it to dry, etc. You apply it immediately post-shower when your skin is still wet, then pat dry with your towel and you're good to go.

I found it to be super easy to use, and it left my skin a little moisturized, too. I'm not a huge fan of the scent, though. And it takes a while to fade, unfortunately.

Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0016

MISSHA Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Intensive - 1 oz Value $9.80

A new brand to the Target Beauty Box and a high-value sample? Yes, please!

This essence is designed to help improve skin tone and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It's a super lightweight liquid that you apply with a cotton pad after cleansing your skin. (Perfect for before your serum and moisturizer at night.)

It is very gentle on my skin and still hydrating. I'm hopeful to see more results with using it for the next few weeks. (This is a decent sized sample!)

Target-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0006

Dove Refresh + Care Volume + Fullness Dry Shampoo - 1.15 oz Value $1.40

This dry shampoo goes on clear (which is great if you have dark roots like I do). I wasn't crazy about the powdery scent, but it fades pretty quickly. I didn't notice any volume or fullness from this dry shampoo, though. It stacks up well with other dry shampoos for removing excess oil, but I didn't notice anything special.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $24.40. I think that's a good value for a $7 beauty box! I'm happy to see that Target priced this one at $7 instead of $10 like they have been doing in the past.

I'm also pleased with the variety of products, sample sizes, and the inclusion of MISSHA in this box!

Are they not putting out an April box?

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

Does anyone know when the April box came out? It already shows sold out online 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Rachelle

I can’t find the box at all, even as sold out. I was trying to see the spoilers and had decided they weren’t doing a box for April. I’m glad you at least found it!!

Reply ButtonReply

Rachelle

What was in it?? I still don’t see it. The old stuff still comes up for me.

Melissa W.

April Target box comes out.. the first Monday on the month.. I think. It’s not sold out yet, because it never went for sale yet. It only shows sold out.. as it always does.. until the day they go up for sale. Hope this helps!

Love your boxes

This is my second box and I’ve been really happy with both of them. I’ve found something in each one that I would happily buy the full sized item and I can’t say that about any of my other boxes yet this month.

I accidentally ordered two of these boxes and I’m so glad I did! I was so anxious to try the Missha and now I have two bottles of it. I haven’t noticed any difference from using it yet, but now I feel like I’ve got more than enough to be able to form a good opinion about whether I would want to spend the money on a full priced bottle or not.

I LOVE the face wash and I’m very picky about those. It smells great and is wonderful on my very dry skin. I would definitely buy a full sized one of that.

The shampoo and conditioner is fine, but not anything special on my hair. The Dove dry shampoo is no big deal. I’ll throw the extra one in my donate box.

The lipstick is weird and really sticky. And not a good color for me either. Another one for the donate box. No opinion on the moisturizer yet.

Overall I’m very pleased with my Target boxes and I can’t wait for the next one to come out. I wish they would just start a sub so I don’t have to troll the site or hope I don’t miss an email from here!

FYI – Target is offering a $5 gift card with $20 beauty and personal care purchase. It appears to be good on all of the beauty box items.

Lunalee

Thank you Nan!

Julia

Do you know if this works with the $3 off? And is it available for this whole week? If so, I definitely have a few things I suppose I could be persuaded to buy… 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Lola EB

Yes it works with coupon.I ordered last night.

Lunalee

Julia, it expires 3/18.

Nan

I haven’t tried to place an order yet, so not sure if coupons will work. I saw the deal on the website, but the ad says it’s good from 03/12 – 03/18.

Lola EB

It does work with the $3 coupon. I bought something last night where I got the $3 off, and get the $5 gift card. And a $10 gift card for a specific item purchase as well. I got a $25 item for $22 with free shipping and two gift cards. Ultimately this item will cost me $7 after I use the gift cards.

Noelle

This was my first box from Target. I was a little disappointed the shampoo had spilled out and stuck the tissue paper to everything, but otherwise it’s not a bad box for $7. Also, when I called customer service with the spillage, they refunded $3.25. Not sure why they didn’t just refund the whole thing like others have posted, but I’m happy they tried to come to a resolution that worked for me! The other products were in great shape- so nothing lost there!

The Missa made mi face so red and also crazy allergy reaction around my eyes, although I didn’t touch they with the essence at all.
So sad, I was so excited for use it 🙁

Forgot to mention Skinfix is my very favorite hand cream and believe me when I say I’ve tried hundreds. It’s one thing I learned about in a Cottonelle beauty box I think that has become my go to. I’m looking forward to trying this cleansing oil of theirs.

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

I actually like this box. I wish the Missha product was a miceller instead but I’m very pleased. Unlike many others, I love in- shower moisturizer and/or tanners so always happy to get these with my very dry skin. You just have to know how to apply them properly and they will sink right into your skin and very little will actually get on your towel. It is much better to moisturize with water on your skin than dry skin. This box was a hit for me though.

MsShashina

I’m so glad I signed up for the alert emails or I would have missed this box. So far I like everything in the box. I use the dry shampoo on my wigs. The shampoo/conditioner made my hair feel clean and soft so I plan to buy the full size set esp to help someone in need and I loved the Skin fix cleanser!! Best 7 bucks I spent this month

Reply ButtonReply

Yvette

I’m so sad someone went to my mailbox and stole my box. I was really looking forward to this beautiful box. So 😡 Whoever did this is so pathetic

This box is sold out.

Glad to finally try the Missha toner! Tip: Don’t use a cotton pad, but put a small amount in your palm and pat it on your face. Or just go from fingertip to bottle. This stuff is pricey and you’ll lose a lot in the cotton pad.

Korean toners are generally not the same as the toners we are used to, which are astringent. Korean toners add moisture or another unique benefit. My fave K-toner is Laneige Power Essentials. Makes my skin super soft.

Love the Soapbox shampoo in this box! The scent is clean and my hair felt very soft.

HATE the Jergens Natural Glow lotion. This will be the third one I’ve received – and thrown away. No one I know wants it, either.

Not digging the lip color. It’s just a sticky mess that adds very little color and it doesn’t last long.

Reply ButtonReply

Kp

Missha actually has a toner this is an essence. I even got the spray essence. I like to better .doesn’t leave my skin sticky like this one. This one a little thicker than a toner and not drying. You would use this after a toner

Reply ButtonReply

J

Kp is correct. The Missha product is an essence which is used after toner. I really like Laneige toners too. I use the essence after using toner.

tw if anyone knows of a K Beauty toner comparable to Laneige Balancing Emulsion for Normal to Dry skin which is less pricey, please let me know. TIA

jenn

thank you so much for this tip for missha toner!

Very pleased with everything in this box ! Great size on the deluxe samples & love the color of the lip gloss. 1st time in several months that I’ve actually wanted to buy the Target Beauty box, hope they keep the $7.00 price going on future boxes 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Nothing to add except that I like the white box and the $7 (or less) price point. I liked the black boxes, too, but unlike other sub boxes, it doesn’t have another box around it (it’s just shrink wrapped), so my Target boxes always take some abuse. If there are any scratches or tears, they show up white. Very obvious on a black box.

Can’t wait to get mine, tracking said Monday I think (which is also my birthday, yay!) Is everyone getting the same gloss color? Because that’s the one I am hoping to get too. First Target box I’ve been interested in in awhile, and I can use everything in there for sure 🙂 So glad I was able to grab one before they sold out!

Reply ButtonReply

Kate

My birthday is also on Monday and my tracking says that as well. A good birthday treat!

Loved this box!! It’s been my favorite Target box so far! I will use everything in it and several of the brands were completely new to me. I just got it today and have already used 2 of the items. Plus the $3 coupon makes it more like a $4 box in the end. I’ll use it for necessities.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

I have the lipgloss in full size and the tube is longer but thinner, so the wand fits much better. It is a little awkward in the sample. Overall, I thought this was a great box at the right price point. I hope target keeps it up!

Reply ButtonReply

Dinah

Your description of the wand tip is spot on. I received my box today and the first thing I said “dang that’s a chubby tip” when trying to stick it back in after chubby applying the gloss. Though, to me it’s a more sticky formula than hydrating. Love that I was able to pick up this box!!

Reply ButtonReply

Ariana

I agree with others – the $7 price was good. $10 lately had been too much. But these products helped make this a winner.

I tried the lip gloss and also found that wand to be totally bizarre because it is over-sized. But the color is good. I’ll actually put everything to use in this box. WIN!

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

I *almost* skipped this Target Box which would have been a first for me, but like a true addict, I bought it anyways. 🙂
I’m really happy I did, I like it a lot more than I thought I would. And so excited for a white box! I have so many black boxes so it’s nice to have a change

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa W.

Loved my Target beauty box this month! Keep em coming Target!!

Reply ButtonReply

Regina

For the most part, I always enjoy the Target boxes. I enjoy it more at the $7 price vs. $10. I always find some new products to enjoy. I did like the black box better.

Reply ButtonReply

Nan

I liked the black boxes too. I use them to organize my closet. Now these white ones won’t even match.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessicups

Got my box today and was a little bummed to see that there was some bright pink sticky stuff on a few of the items. It’s not the lip gloss either as that is still completely sealed and not leaking. No idea what it is but Target gave me a full refund for the box so if nothing else they have wonderful customer service! Thankfully it shouldn’t effect the use of the items either so, win win! Excited to try the Missha and SkinFix. Might even give the Jergens Natural glow a try, I am SOOOO pale and we have a swimming pool in our complex that Id love to utilize this summer. So anything that can help with glowing in the sun is more then welcome haha. The dry shampoo will get used, though the scent is meh, really not that interested in the soapbox or lip stuff (thankfully one of the items covered in the goo is the shampoo so not a huge loss).

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole Dunlap

My shampoo leaked too and I had goopy pink (from the tissue paper) stuff all over everything in the box. They only offered me a 10% discount, so .70¢. Oh well.

Reply ButtonReply

TJ

Mine leaked also and they gave me a refund. I think it was the shampoo and the tissue covered stuff pink in color. After washing stuff off I loved the box though.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I think the leak may have come from the shampoo seeping out a little. I had the same thing happen, but I only had a tiny bit of the pink tissue paper stain the shampoo bottle, and that was it. That’s awesome you got a refund for it!

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

My shampoo wasn’t completely closed (when I picked it up, I picked it up by the cap, which spun a little), but it didn’t leak. The conditioner was fine. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the shampoo + tissue paper.

Jacki

I’m so impressed with how quickly I received this. The Dove dry shampoo is the only item I’ve used before. This one is going in the gym bag to be used as a sneaker spray. I will definitely pick up another Target box sometime.

Reply ButtonReply

ELAINE PLEASANTS

This is a great tip! I usually toss them out because I don’t like them for my hair which is super thick and coarse so I don’t need the volume.

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

Great tip! I refuse to use the dove brand anymore as Liz pointed out the smell. You think it fades because it’s extremely strong….but then everyone comments on it like do you use baby powder, did you babysit or do you have a baby, lol.

Reply ButtonReply

Tat

Dry shampoo as a sneaker spray is genius.

Reply ButtonReply

Cheyenne

I’m super glad I read the review, I wouldn’t have noticed that the lotion was actually a tanner!
