Now, onto the items!
Soapbox Bamboo Shampoo - 2 oz Value $.75
Yay for a matching shampoo and conditioner set! (Sometimes I'll get only a shampoo or conditioner in a subscription box.)
Soapbox Bamboo Conditioner - 2 oz Value $.75
The Soapbox formulas are ingredient-conscious, and a purchase of a full-size version of any of their products gives a bar of soap to a person in need.
And in addition to all that good stuff, this set has a refreshing scent and left my hair clean and moisturized!
SkinFix Foaming Oil Cleanser - 1 oz Value $4.40
(Good to know for swaps - this has an inner foil seal.)
SkinFix is one of my favorite brands to see in the Target Beauty Box. Up until now, I've only sampled their lip and moisturizers, so this is a nice change!
The cleanser is a foaming oil that is gentle and smells like cucumbers! It didn't dry out my skin, and like all SkinFix products, this cleanser is also ingredient-conscious!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine in Radiant - .17 oz Value $5?
I'm not 100% on the value of this lip gloss. The label of the sample lists it as 4.8 g/.17 oz, which is larger than the full-size version Target lists at .12 oz.
So either this sample has more actual product than the full-size sample, or the size was mislabeled. (Either way, it's a good sample size!)
The formula provides a good amount of shine, a hint of color, and practically no stickiness. But the wand seems a little too wide for the tube - you pretty much have to force it back into the container!
Here it is swatched:
Jergen's Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer in Fair to Medium - 2 oz Value $2.30
This is a great product if you don't have a lot of time to apply self-tanner, wait for it to dry, etc. You apply it immediately post-shower when your skin is still wet, then pat dry with your towel and you're good to go.
I found it to be super easy to use, and it left my skin a little moisturized, too. I'm not a huge fan of the scent, though. And it takes a while to fade, unfortunately.
MISSHA Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Intensive - 1 oz Value $9.80
A new brand to the Target Beauty Box and a high-value sample? Yes, please!
This essence is designed to help improve skin tone and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It's a super lightweight liquid that you apply with a cotton pad after cleansing your skin. (Perfect for before your serum and moisturizer at night.)
It is very gentle on my skin and still hydrating. I'm hopeful to see more results with using it for the next few weeks. (This is a decent sized sample!)
Dove Refresh + Care Volume + Fullness Dry Shampoo - 1.15 oz Value $1.40
This dry shampoo goes on clear (which is great if you have dark roots like I do). I wasn't crazy about the powdery scent, but it fades pretty quickly. I didn't notice any volume or fullness from this dry shampoo, though. It stacks up well with other dry shampoos for removing excess oil, but I didn't notice anything special.
Verdict: This box has a value of about $24.40. I think that's a good value for a $7 beauty box! I'm happy to see that Target priced this one at $7 instead of $10 like they have been doing in the past.
I'm also pleased with the variety of products, sample sizes, and the inclusion of MISSHA in this box!
