Can anyone tell me if you have to have a Facebook account to review your ipsy products and get points for reviewing your Ipsy products? I tried to review my products but it kept asking me to log into my Facebook account and I don’t have one. Thanks

Meemee

All to do is Click the or to where it’s unhighlighted and submit this is a way to still gain points.

Marie

Thank you so much, Dia! It worked. 😃

I think you have to have facebook or Twitter. I didn’t have one either so I made one with a fake name and no pics or friends and I use it just to get my ipsy and boxycharm points. Maybe you can ask ipsy customer service if there is another way to get your points and if not, maybe you can just make a fake one? Hope that helps

Thanks Jackie!

Mel

The jelly pong pong is the only thing that looks good this month. Hopefully I get it!

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

I want to ask for that and the brush! woot!

Reply ButtonReply

Christine

Can we ask for the jelly pong pong or we have to chose from the other list? I chose the pacifica pallet and they said it wld be in my bag but i wld much rather have the pong pong and im sure they wont give me to shadows….

Mel

I asked Ipsy and they said no. They said I wasn’t able to request it because it wasn’t an item that they were allowing people to pick from

Nyesha

I emailed ipsy and asked for the brow product because I have never seen one in the lineup of products since being with them for a year and they told me they can’t guarantee I will get one because there is a high demand and low supply. I thanked them and said that if I don’t receive 1, it’s okay. I figured I can sample it from so choix and appreciated that they will try.

when i signed up i didn’t receive any message about a waitlist. now i’m a little worried. if you’re put on the waitlist do you get a message stating that you’re on the waitlist or are new subscribers automatically put on the waitlist without receiving any message about being on the waitlist?

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

I signed up yesterday. They emailed a note confirming my info and that I was on the waitlist. Then there was another note that I could get off the waitlist if I did a couple of Facebook things, so I emailed CS and said I don’t use Facebook, they immediately emailed back and said I’d be taken off and would get the May bag. don’t blame them for trying to get people to use social media for them. I had heard from MSA users that emailing them would get you off the list.

Reply ButtonReply

j

thanks for the reply julie. i didn’t receive any message about being on the waitlist. just that i’m subscribed. i’ll try to email them to confirm my status and if i’m on the waitlist i’ll ask them to take me off too. maybe it since i linked my social media with ipsy they didn’t put me on the waitlist. at least i hope so. 🙂

I asked for the brush, I usually do as they are my favorite, and I feel it helps pay for the bag. That pacifica eyeshadow is beautiful though !

Ipsy is my fave makeup sub. Unfortunately i had to cancel all my subs (except fabfitfun) due to a job loss. Just gotta live vicariously through all of liz’s reviews so make those swatches count liz! Hahaha

Sarah

Hmm interesting. Before it also listed we could request the urban decay highlighter as the product we choose. I emailed them a few weeks ago to request I receive the UD highlight and they confirmed I will. Now the UD isn’t listed as one of the choices for people to request they get, I wonder if everyone was requesting that one and they already ran out? Glad they confirmed I’d get it in my request to them a few weeks ago!

Michelle

just emailed and opted out of eyebrow and hi liter products. Asked for the Pacifica palette. So pretty!!

Milissa England Cheves

I just wish I could get off the wait list. Been on it for 2 months! No Facebook page….

Reply ButtonReply

Monique

The day I signed up I emailed them and stated that I don’t do social media and they took me immediately off the wait list. I did this for two accounts. Their CS is AMAZING p.

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

Same. Yesterday I signed up, was put on waitlist. I emailed and said I don’t do Facebook and immediately got a response that I was taken off and getting May. Do it, Milissa!

Reply ButtonReply

Sharon in SE Tx

Hi Milissa, Have you contacted customer service about getting off the waitlist? I’m not on Facebook and they took me off the waitlist the same day when I emailed customer service.

Chris

I have been with ipsy four years and I have to say they have been amazing.. getting better and better. I got a 50$ cream in last months bag. They hit it out of the park every month and I can’t believe for only 10$ plus a glam bag! I am an ipster for life! Plus their CS is amazing too! I wish I could kiss ipsy! Lol

Nyesha

I am pretty excited over all of these spoilers. Originally I asked for the brush but yesterday i emailed and begged for the brow product because I have never tried 1 before, I usually use a mascara. I’ve been with ipsy for a year and don’t recall seeing a brow product before either. if I don’t receive it-no biggie-I just put in my So Choix queue.

Reply ButtonReply

Jaclyn

I requested the Luxie brush and received a response in less than half an hour. Ipsy CS is always impressive.

What do people think of the estee lauder compact?
Also, is it a foundation or what (yes I am unsure!) . It talks about coverage but doesn’t really state what it is…
I actually hope I get it though, I REALLY want something to conceal/cover and I have nothing but a lost CC cream 🙁
Also, I limit my beauty(and most other sub available stuff) purchases to sub only so I only get what comes in them! (It’s either a $$ single product or a $$ for that + however many others) It has helped give me quite the collection but it has a few holes! 🙁
*I’m on a strict student budget

Dee

At Elder Beerman you can get color matched for foundation and they will give you a free 10 day sample!

Reply ButtonReply

Marina

That’s cool! Thanks for the tip!
Sadly I just googled it, searched for a location and found none 🙁
Looks like they don’t have any in the PNW
Any other stores that might do foundation match?
Thanks

Stephanie

Liz recently reviewed a Rimmel foundation from the Walmart Box as being excellent and it is less than $4 for the full size. Here is the link to the box review. Hope this helps out your student budget. https://www.mysubscriptionaddiction.com/2017/04/walmart-beauty-box-review-spring-2017-trendsetter-box.html?source=cube_review

Marina

Thanks, I’ll check that one out!
So far I’ve found a Revlon, Maybelline
and cover girl that all have super pale so but they’re ten so ill see if that one can !

Julia

I’d really suggest getting a foundation outside of a sub box since it’s not at all guaranteed that the colors will work for you. Also, most of the foundations /BB creams I’ve received in boxes have only been 1 or 2 uses (no clue how big this one will be, though).

I might be a bit pickier since I’m pretty pale and a lot of foundation hasn’t worked well with my skin (emphasized dry patches, slid off, caused breakouts, etc.). I ended up spending a bit on my final foundation, but you might be more successful with some drugstore brands. I’d just recommend that you check the makeup return policy of wherever you buy your foundation. Some drugstores won’t allow returns if the product’s been opened, and the lighting in the stores and lack of testers makes it a lot harder to find the correct shade imo. I know Ulta carries a lot of drugstore brands so that’s worth checking out. I hope this helps!

Reply ButtonReply

Marina

I will probably get one if this one doesn’t come.
Which one did you find that worked for your pale skin?
I’m super pale as well or “fair” aka beat everyone I’ve met at he who’s paler contest u do as kids lol.
Ill make sure to check the return policy on whatever I get (most of my shopping is on Amazon)
My skin never bothered me until more recently but now my occasional acne in the chin just gets to me, and my red cheeks! I never really bothered looking for them before… Cc either

Dorian

It is a foundation, its like a cushion foundation but instead of being on a sponge there’s a button you press to pump the foundation out. The reviews so far say it tends to be a lighter coverage and a little more dewy than matte. Ipsy is my only sub because of my financial situation, and as far as foundations go, I’ve been using the same bottle of $8 Revlon foundation for like 6 or 7 months now and I’m still not close to empty, plus it works well. Foundation isn’t really something a lot of subs send because it’s so so specific

Reply ButtonReply

Marina

Oops I think it ate my comment – got an error message!
Anyways, thanks! That sounds pretty good to me!

The revlon one sounds good too, especially for tight budgets! How is it to apply?

Thanks!
(and sorry if it winds up being a double comment!)

Its really hard for me to resist luxie brushes, but I’ve heard excellent things about the caked lippie. Stephanie nicole on YouTube ranks them pretty high on her liquid lippie testing.

I wish I could be more excited for these great spoilers but I’m still waiting on my April bag to arrive. Hopefully tomorrow.

Is it Ipsy that let’s you opt out of a category or 2 if products? They didn’t do that in 2015 – or this letting you pick 1 sample – and I could maybe be enticed back… Do they ever offer a discount or gift to start a sub??

Reply ButtonReply

Jaclyn

You can opt-out of three product types and can update your opt-out whenever you like.

Ipsy sometimes offers free gifts with new subscriptions. My friend just subscribed and is receiving some kind of contour kit.

Reply ButtonReply

Julia

I got a free gift when I started my sub a few months ago, though I don’t know if I’ve seen any really recently. I haven’t seen any discounts, though, since $10 is so cheap. It’s possible they do it near Black Friday or something.

Reply ButtonReply

AAC

Yep, that’s right – you can opt out of a couple categories and choose a sample from a small list of items. However, in my experience, I got 2 months of something I “opted out” of before it stopped, so I’m not sure if there’s a ramp up period where their warehouse has to adjust?

Reply ButtonReply

Daisy

Are we allowed to request one of these new spoilers? I really like the jelly pong pong duo!

Reply ButtonReply

AAC

Right now, it doesn’t look like it. People have tried to ask for other things, but they seem to be sticking with the original list for May.

Reply ButtonReply

Daisy

Bummer. I like that better then the other options. Keeping my fingers crossed I still receive it anyway!!

Rebecca

Does anybody know if the IT mascara is any good?

Reply ButtonReply

Nyesha

It is okay. I have an obsession with dramatic looking eyelashes that can be mistaken for false lashes and I purchased 2 full size “hello lashes” by IT cosmetics because I heard nothing but good things about it and yeah I didn’t think it did anything special and I tried it for a week before going back to my usual mascaras. getting a sample to try is safer than what I did.

Stephanie

One of the best!

Reply ButtonReply

Jodi

Yes!! I love it 😍

I am curious as how they are going to match people skins up with the estee lauder makeup. estee Lauder has at least 20 shades , and on ipsy profile only has 6 skin tones to choose from.

Reply ButtonReply

Julia

Do we have any bag spoilers? I love seeing the new design!

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

I haven’t seen any bag spoilers yet, hopefully soon!
