Avenue A by Adidas Subscription Box Review – Summer 2017

I got the peach/orange set, and I was pleasantly surprised. I have been totally underwhelmed with the other boxes, but I was actually excited when I opened this one up. I don’t generally like orange, but it appears more peach on my skin tone.
However, I have to say that I was a little disappointed today when I received an email from Adidas about their new Wanderlust items. If there were about to launch new items in that collection, I would have thought they’d be in the box so that it we’d be getting early access. Although I really liked the items, it doesn’t feel very special when the items received are old stock and go on sale right after the box arrives to make way for a new collection.

I was optimistic before I received my box. Only four items and another pair of grey shoes? I’ve only tried on the sports bra and tank. The tank is really comfortable but the sports bra is kinda big. I’m waiting for the rain to stop before I wear the shoes. Hopefully we will get more than one spoiler for the fall box.

I have emailed Adidas three times in the past twos weeks to ask for a refund and have received no responses. I’m surprised to see such good reviews of their customer service – this hasn’t been my experience at all.

I like my box i got the orange and at first I was afraid but the color grew on me. I went for a short run in the pants they fit awesome. I do feel like we are missing something in this box. But its not the rita ora box where i wear the sweatshirt and pants as a joke so at least everything is useable for me. I also got the items in the some box from Winter. It makes me wonder if adidas is going to phase Avenue a out or if the wanderlust collection wasn’t profitable for them and they just tried to cut their losses. Needless to say I like the surprise and will continue to subscribe, wait for a spoiler, and hope for an amazing Fall box!

Is there a suggestion box somewhere? I agree with the post. I like the box. They did give me the more colorful options. But I feel like something is missing. It feels undervalued. I honestly thought maybe they forgot to put something in my box. So I checked this site to make sure I got all of my items. Maybe they went overboard with the last 2 boxes (2 pairs of sneakers and expensive Rita Ora gear; Stella bag in HBFs)

Anyway like I said first…a suggestion box. I’ve seen flip flops and casual Adidas. I’ve seen 2 running sneakers in one box. Can we NOT do a running sneaker EVERY box? How about a multi-use trainer for weight-lifting or a high top casual. Or at least a 2nd shoe that serves a different athletic purpose. We women are multifaceted. We do more than just run. Using running shoes for weights or playoffs isn’t really recommended. This was a perfect opportunity to include some type of Barre or yoga flat even textured grip socks.

That being said…I’m going to keep my subscription. I really only shop Adidas outlet stores so that’s how I estimate the box values. Then as much money as I save at the outlet everything evens out.

Received my box today and like the items but also feel this box was missing something. Even a water bottle or pair of socks would have helped this box.

My box just arrived and I love everything! This might be my favorite outfit that they have sent. I am disappointed that the value/number of items is lower than before. Was really hoping it would come with sandals but even a water bottle or socks would have been nice.

Has anyone had any success in getting a return label for the box?

Adidas has already started putting some of the items in this box on clearance.

I don’t look at spoilers but after opening my box I immediately came here to see what item was left out of my box and NOTHING?! This is it? I like what came overall but it definitely is missing something to round it out. I feel like I paid retail for a workout outfit and I don’t like to pay retail.

Anyone wanna switch medium orange pants/bra for the black/grey ones (also med)?

I got my box yesterday. Black pants, gray bra, white tank. I washed everything so it was ready to go today. I wore the pants to cycle and yoga today, shirt to cycling and bra to yoga with an Athleta top. I really like everything, the pants are far better quality then the green from spring(?) 2016.

The tank, I would have very much preferred in a color other than white. I will wear it until it gets a stain, but still that is 3 white tanks and 2 of them I have NEVER worn.

Overall I like everything, but really would have loved one more item. I would gladly have traded the Stella bag from spring for the yoga bag in the Adidas line that holds a mat!!!

I’m in the minority b/c I actually love this box! I joined after seeing how awesome the spring box was and was initially disappointed in the contents of this box after seeing the spoilers. Once i actually received the box and could see it in person, I quickly fell in love. THOSE PANTS! The most comfy pair of pants I have ever put on! I live in workout pants and these are my favorite ones I own now! I love the shoes and the bra is very comfy too! The shirt was ok, nothing to love but I feel with the shoes, pants, and bra it was well worth it.

I finally received my first box. I thought I would be disappointed with it like many are. But since i have nothing to compare it to i think its a wonderful box. All the sizes are right except for the sports bra , i wear a 36 DD , so i ordered a large and it’s to big around the arm holes. I love the capris, they take a couple inches off of everything 😉.

Well I got my box today. They reused the winter box to pack mine. I got the orange pants and bra with a white tank. The shirt actually fits! First time in the 4 boxes I’ve gotten. The pants are so smooth and soft but I wish they were black. The shoes are snug so I asked for a half size up. I got a decent outfit out of this box just wish there was a wow item

How in the world do you get ahold of anyone at avenue a? This is my first box and I will keep it, underwheming as it is, but I need to exchange 1 item for a different size. I tried to do the exchange for myself and it won’t take my confirmation/order #. I coped and pasted it. Then when I clicked on the link to email it asked for cloud yahoo etc. it wouldn’t take my email. I then finally found a number for adidas and called and after 1/2 hour she said there is no other way to reach them. Seriously, is this a scam?? They cannot be contacted?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I got the orange/brown capris & orange bra & I hate the colors! I tried emailing customer service & asking to be able to exchange them but they just responded with a no. I’m so disappointed, this box overall was TERRIBLE & it’s usually one of my favorite subscriptions. I hope they listen to customer feedback & improve the next box, otherwise it’s not worth the money. You can get too much of the same stuff from outlet stores. Even the shoes in this box were boring! Ugh.

I resubscribed to get the summer box. I really liked last summers box. Disappointed to get cropped pants instead of shorts. I find this to be a lot like the fall box but missing the awesome item like the white jacket Liz is wearing.. from fall box. I hoped for another headband or something. I just might send this back. I wish I looked at spoilers beyond the sneaker. Should have Wanderlust be a fall box. My box came today. Got black version. I really like the sneakers.

Love this box, I may not use all of the items but I can mix and match with the previous boxes!! Love Avenue A

I received my box today and got the white top but got hideous orange and brown leggings and an orange bra. I hate the color orange especially when it’s paired with brown. SO ugly!!! I’m also really disappointed that there were only 4 items and it seems this is the third time we got this pair of shoes. Why always black and white? I loved Avenue A until this box. A real waste of money.

I just got a confirmation of my box being shipped today, i ordered late in winter , so i assumed that i would get the spring box. Now Im not sure since everyone is getting there summer box. I really wanted the spring box. Dang it!

I do like most of the items in the box. I wish I had gotten the black and white leggings instead of the brown/orange, and the bras are always throw-aways for me because they never provide enough support (oddly, no actual athletic brands seem to be able to get sports bras right for chesty ladies!), so for me, if I had purchased the items in this box that I will use, the price would be about the $150 I paid for the box (and really, that’s being generous… I will use the shoes for sure, but all the others I have gotten since signing up are still going strong so I really didn’t need more). Someone upthread mentioned that they hope this is not the “new normal”, and I definitely agree with that–but maybe we are just spoiled by the high value and number of items that the boxes typically contain. Some boxes have had a huge $$ value, so I feel okay that this one is valued pretty close to the price the paid. But the whole point of subscriptions is to get a good deal, so if this becomes the norm, I will probably cancel 🙁

I received the exact color combo as Liz. I’m happy with it.
However, when I put my shoes on and look down, my feet resemble whales.

They must have more than two color combinations. Mine came today and it is an orange/coral bra with the orange leggings. Hoping my daughter likes it because if not, it’s a total bust!

I tried to pause my sub for the summer since I thought they were going to send shorts and I don’t like running in shorts, and somehow that ended up cancelling it. That really annoyed me but I figured I’d deal with it later. The spoilers looked ok, but now seeing the big armholes on the tank and how see-through it is, and how little support the bra provides, I really feel like I dodged a bullet here. And seems like the value is pretty low!!! So, the cancellation of my sub was a boon – I’m going to wait to see what fall brings before re-subbing.
