Loot Crate DX is Loot Crate's deluxe crate. They pitch it as an "elevated assortment of collectibles, apparel, home goods and more from your favorite pop culture franchises every month." They also promise no crossover items from the Core Loot Crate box.

This month's theme was Alter-Ego.

Loot Crate kindly sent us this box to review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Loot Crate DX

The Cost: $47.99 + $5 S/H (this price has recently increased!)

The Products: "We’ve taken the curated geek and gamer excellence you enjoy with Loot Crate to the next level. An elevated assortment of collectibles, apparel, home goods and more from your favorite pop culture franchises every month. $100+ value in every crate!"

The June 2017 Loot Crate DX included your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, Deadpool, Transformers, and two items from Fight Club.

It comes with a fold-out pamphlet that shows off all of the items in the box, along with a bit more information about each item.

Fight Club Pin - Value $5-10?

The first of two Fight Club items is the pin - the classic Fight Club soap bar from the movie cover. All of the Loot Crate DX pins are about double the size, if not more, than the typical Loot Crate pin - I love them!

Spider-Man Long Sleeve Shirt - Value $15-20?

This month includes a long sleeve, thin, shirt. The shirt is comfortable, and best worn in the Spring or Fall. The design is A+! I love the cover of the Daily Bugle, and I can almost hear J.K. Simmons as Jonah Jameson shouting out this front page title idea.

Deadpool X-Force Finders Keyper Statue - Value $30 based on non-exclusive Superman statue

This is the second Finders Keyper statue we've received from Loot Crate DX - we received Batman in the April shipment.

This statue, overall, is better than the Batman version - seems like it has better detail work. The keychain pops in the holder, and your keys sit under Deadpool for safe keeping until you're ready.

The keychain itself is the classic Deadpool logo.

Deadpool gets the classic X-Force outfit in this 9-inch statue! I mean, who better to guard your keys?

Transformers Water Bottle - Value $15?

This is a first for Loot Crate DX - a custom water bottle featuring the same Transformers design as their shirt from June's core crate!

The water bottle is really high quality and reminds me of a Swell water bottle - which are basically everyone's favorite water bottles. I wouldn't be mad to see more of these!

Fight Club Journal - Value $10-15?

The last item in the box is the second item from Fight Club.

The inside definitely has that Fight Club feel.

Beyond those little touches, it's a normal ruled notebook.

Verdict: While it's not my favorite Loot Crate DX of the year, it is definitely up there as one of my favorites this year. I'm loving the Deadpool statue, water bottle, and shirt - and those are the big ticket items, so it did really work out for me. I like the pin, and the notebook was ok - but it was just fun to see Fight Club included in a subscription box.

I DO NOT recommend LootCrate DX or Loot Tees due to their EXTREME shipping issues and poor customer service. Yes the products are pretty cool, but I never received my MAY LootCrate DX (Yes it is now JULY), and the Loot Tee for June was just sent last week. They have no issue with renewing your subscription before they even send you the items from your previous one. They do not send tracking information out consistently, and they are full of excuses. It took me a month and a half to get all my refunds and all of my prepaid subscriptions finally cancelled. They even lied and said they had been emailing me, but that I was just missing it. Loot Crate just isn’t worth the hassle to have to email them over and over again for a product that I have paid for. Had I known this ahead of time, I would have never subscribed for my husband’s birthday gifts.

Yeah, I don’t get the long sleeve tee, at all! If they want to provide a unique clothing item, how about a short sleeve button up?

I don’t get the long sleeve shirt in July. But the statue is cool!

That shirt is super awesome! Going to have to try to swap for it!

Yay for the long sleeve shirt! It’s 104 degrees here today, but I never get long sleeve t-shirts! Love Dead Pool – although apparently hubby more since he’s claimed it. Can always use a geek chic water bottle! Great box!
